  • If you tested it by inserting a tooth pick or similar And it doesent come out clean then it most likely there is not enough steam. use more flame until you hear it steaming. Hope this helps.

  • @montychester I live close to some asian markets. The tins I used I got at Seafood City.But any tin will work oval or round....

  • I strain because I want the flan to be as creamy as possible when done. The eggs if you notice have sediments (not sure exactly whats its called). The straining takes it out. You'll see what I mean:)
