While dentists have the right to "make a living" they do not have the right to start scamming people in order to cover student loans. The reason why profit needs to be taken out (flat fee for working, instead of additional fee for additional work) is because it will remove the incentive for doing unneeded work

Those dental clinics are owned by PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS and the whole purpose is making money for investors. Legitimate dental clinics are owned by dentists, who risk everything if the practice fails. Dentists own legitimate dental clinics. In the case of Small Smiles,. they used fake dentist owners to mask the fact that the corporation called the shots

If a parent isn't allowed in with their child, that should set off bells and whistles. When I was a kid, the dentist refused to look at me if a parent didn't go back with me. i went to small smiles when i was really little about 4 or 5 i dont remember, but all i remember was that i was crying like crazy! and one of the nerses were telling me to shut up trying to hold me down. then they didnt even numb my mouth really good then they started drilling and i could feel EVERY thing they were doing it was the worst thing ever!!! im glad they're finally doing something about it!!!!

a couple of years ago, i went to small smiles and the woman who saw me was saying rude things to me (you have head lice[i didn't] ugly hair) then during the cleaning she shoved the tube down my throat were i couldn't breathe!!!! i ended up spitting on the floor. and no one even bothered to help me during that and she told a lie to my mother. where she didn't believe me or my grandma. only my dad and grandpa believed me.
