  • anyone remember SCAMPS, nightclub or TIFFANYS that use to be under the victoria centre, in nottingham those were the days, and these are the tunes. love em for ever.

  • @natashacliff WOW! Yea,..I remember SCAMPS Nightclub. The one I used to got to was in Chatham, Kent. SCAMPS was tucked away in the corner of a newly built shopping centre called, 'The Pentagon'. You had to be 18 to get in and I was only 17 when I started going there so faked my age, like we all did. Ah....happy days and memories listening to great disco music.

  • @Nunsweepit421 I was a mobile DJ going to clubs, pubs, weddings, etc, I was 19 I had the gear, my mate was 20, he had the van! I think we did Scamps in the summer of 1977 I remember it was a balmy night and everyone had a great time! If you remember 8 banks of traffic lights and bubbles, with lasers in the second half - that was us - Revolver 45 disco!

  • @richard10661066 Tiffanys must have been a great place based on the music they played there. It seems like it was similar to the stuff played at the LOFT in NYC. I believe you when he say the UK club scene was great because the dance music coming out of the UK was awesome. I could not hardly wait to buy the imports from the UK at the time. late 70's early 80's. It was smokin hot!

  • I heard this song on a compilation with another track by Gwen Mcrae. While alot of them were around the same period ('77-'83 or so), with other artists like The Emotions and Roy Ayers, there doesn't seem like a specific style description for this grouping of bands/artists.
