The GDOT decided to widen all of US 27 in GA 10 years ago. It's good for traffic, but bad for local economies because they're bypassing most towns with new construction. My hometown that's on US 27, LaGrange,GA, is the next town they're going to bypass. It still goes straight through town for now.
For the most part, yeah. I just wish the bypasses had higher speed limits. A lot of them -- that I've driven -- are posted at 55 m.p.h. in the "middle of nowhere."

Yeah, 166 comes in from the north-northeast, then forms a south-southwest loop south of Carrollton.

They do a good job in America building 4-lane bypasses. You usually have to go right through town in NL.
