Her name is Melanie LaPatin and she has won countless latin dance championship titles and choreographs for film and television. She stepped in when Pasha's partner Jessi was injured so instead of mocking her, maybe you should show some respect.
@wonbanana You know, I'm confused by this response. I think the person who responds to this video with "It was really helpful of her to step in. :) " is a much more joyful person than the one who says "Wow, she's out of shape, I'm gonna mock her on youtube!" And if you only "believe her name is Melanie" and "seem to remember" that she won something, then clearly you're the one who isn't paying attention, because everyone in the world of dance knows her name and her achievements.
@wonbanana I think she is an amazing dancer. Her technique is fabulous. OBVIOUSLY, lifts are MUCH harder when you have a heavier partner, so yes, they are rough (as a woman even larger than her, I can't fathom doing ANY of those lifts). However, what is actually danced (as lifts are more or less bulls*** for audience brownie points), this woman is BETTER than his partner Jessie.

1. I know I shouldn't laugh but a couple of the shots of Pasha's face looked like the deer in the headlights.
2. I am genuinely curious to know how big she is. When you're 5'4 135lbs, you look like a behemoth next to someone 5'8" at that same weight.
3. She moves pretty quick for someone her size and age. Heaven knows I'm sadly out of practice, so good for her!

@Vibeke99 I believe her name is Melanie, the choreographer's assistant. I seem to recall that her credits include some national ballroom title.
