  • only one word for yaaa

    best.....

  • he was fire!!!!!!!!!!

  • if it weren't for injuries this guy would be one of the greatest of the modern era, maybe even all time

  • he was the best bowler and but he did the big mistake joining in icl

    that spolied his carrer

  • his name is bond, shane bond

  • The BEST/BEAST bowler world has ever seen! I admire BOND to very extent!

The best Fast bowler who never cheated unlike some 'greats' who constantly temperd the ball!

If only he was injury free!

My Salute to the greatest bowler with the beauty of an action!

    From,

    An Indian admirer

  • delivery at 1:04 is unplayable

  • one of the best for sure, its a shame NZ dont have a bowler like him today

  • Nice

    Like the bond track.

Liked the video title "Bond - Shane Bond"

And Obviously the catch at 0:23

  • He's got the best action...

  • Those late in-swinging yorkers get me wet.

  • some nice catching from Lou "the chin" Vincent

  • Bond, simply the best.

  • hes better than lee and chucker akhthar

  • Bond is awesome, best pace bowler since hadlee, he's always on fire when playing the aussies!!!!!

  • Clock at 154km in the most recent Pakistani test match in NZ which is reach the top end of express pace.

  • # reaching

  • i watch nz play auz in T20 lastnight an its good seeing bond still bowling 150km

  • my favorite bowler of all time... feel sad he can't play a lot these days... wish him best of luck

  • very nice

  • Fantastic video.

  • bondy da man...how the hell we let him go to IPL??

  • what a deadly bowler. it's pretty unfortunate he's so prone to injury, if he wasn't new zealand would be a bloody gem in all forms of cricket.

  • You are not just Shane Bond. You are our Jemes Bond. Lot of of love from "Kolkata Knight Riders".

Shane we love you. See you my friend at Eden Garden.

    -Jivan

  • 007 indeed!

  • who the hell took that catch at 0:25 ??!! that's got to be one of the best catches i've seen. amazing how much nz fielding has improved over the years

  • That was Jacob Oram

  • Comment removed

  • guttered he's gone befroe the test vs australia, nz got pretty much no chance now :(

  • I love to see him bowling at his best! His pace puts the batsman in a serious tension.... Wow... Sorry to miss him in Test Cricket... You made all the fans happy..... Good luck

  • if only he had played more matches.......he could have got more wickets...........deadly bowling with good pace n swing

  • I hope Bond stays in the game a bit longer, adominal tears can heal and his back hasn't been giving him problems.

  • m n indian but bond's my favourite ..inswingers wat i've seen by him r awsome akram was supreme in his time batsman for lifetime is sachin the master blaster

  • He used to be faster I guess hes getting old still an ok bowler just lost his extreme pace sometimes 150 ks plus Still maybe he can hit 150 again you never know.

  • @darkdestroyer34: he hit 151kph at Dunedin in the first test against Pakistan (2009 series)

  • @Rikasa75 yes hes still got pace but most of his bowling these days are in the 130s while he used to bowl mainly in 140s hiting 150s. although alot of that was at the start of his comeback, he may get faster as he goes. He was fast for that 1 test but since being injured it may take longer to get his pace back up.

  • True - good point. In the IPL aside from intentional slow balls he seems to be settling around the 142-149 range. It seems his average speed may have lifted since he has been playing more, as you suggested. Still; as a 34 year-old myself, I'm impressed with anyone that can still push 150 at that age! All power to him & KKR! Peace.

  • they should of put the one in where he got adam gilchrist first ball of the innings with a in-dipping yorker, he didn't even see it

  • great bowler, bond all the way. shame about all the back problems hes had because he would be up there with the all time greats.

  • i love shane bond hes is my best im pakistani but kiwis is my best muahhhhhhhhh

  • i am indian here.. and my fav heroes, in cricket are bond and waqar..

I dont care much for batsmen, except tendulkar..

Bond, the swing he generates at his pace, is unbelievable.. Enjoy bowling at its best, not which country they belong to

  • Bond is the best...

  • i am pakistani and i have to admit shane bond is one of the best of all time

  • unfortunatly he dont bowl fast anymore...

he used to bowl 150-155km now because his back and because hes getting older he bowls 140km TOPS!! which is just average speed in todays game and isnt really a major threat to teams.. :(

  • His pace isn't as much as a threat for sure, but his swing and control are still very dangerous. Though he has recorded one delivery at 148kmph during the ICC Champions Trophy... so perhaps he is just holding back to prevent injury.

  • @Alieaz umm his fastest ball is 159.x km/h he used to bown consistently in the 150-155 mark

  • @Alieaz he could bowl 150 bro but obviously with his glass joints he couldnt keep doing that

  • Mistaken, ofc he doesn't ball as quick but he was a real threat to australia in the final. and he balled up to 92mph in the final.

  • Im sorry im a kiwi and lets get real here...

140km p/h is not fast in the modern day international cricket its about the average speed and he was only bowling 140km in the final as well i watched!! still a good swing bowler though..

  • no, he didn't use to bowl 150-155km - it was about 145-150km+.

and no he bowls 140+ all the time.

    FAIL!

  • amazing compilation

  • thank you for the excellent video. bond is simply the best

  • Kind of hard to judge his speed if it's in fucking slow mo.

  • i hope he will back.

  • he definatly a good bowler but i am afraid not the best Glenn Mcgrath Is the best!

  • That yorker to gilchrist was awesum

  • lol the music! james bond!

  • the best modern fast bowler... shame he isnt fit

  • Fave one was that last one to Gilly. Great ball!!

  • Most beautiful action in world cricket

  • what a catch at 0:23

  • beautiful seam position by bond, hopefully he's back playing international cricket soon,we really miss him.

  • SHIt yeah bondie, cant wait to see you back int he black caps uniform. Screw tuffey though he is mud, and a trundler. Bondie and martin to open the attack...with southee and mills as change bowlers with vettori spin option, Bout the best NZ team I reckon you could have.

  • J. Ryder, B. McCcllum, Guptil, Taylor, Elliott, Redmond (this guys is much better then useless Broom), Vettori, N. McCcllum, Kyle Mills, Bond, Southee/Butler. THEY CAN BEAT ANY SIDE WITH THESE PLAYERS! wht say?

  • hope he gets selected to play against sri lanka this year.

  • Yeah, I hope he does to along with Darrel Tuffey. I miss watching Bond in action.

  • That catch at 23+ seconds must be the most spectacular of all time - better even than Collingwood catching Hayden at Bristol in an ODI in 2005...

  • one of the best deliveries he bowled would have to be when he instantly caught the ball while still going through with his follow on...amazing!!

  • I love his bowling action. it is ideal for outswing. He is the BOND of cricket.

  • One of The reason of Shane Bond bieng the Best bowler of all time is that he has Pace&huge Swing along with Clear and textbook valid action. Most of the bowlers havin pace of about 90m\hrs are not so correct in their bowling actions.

  • IDOL. Hell be back...

  • Best bowler of all time. No questions

  • no one cares

  • what's up your bum then?

  • nice video.....an awesome bowler........wanna see bond back in action........fans in india admire him a lot.wish he was in current nz squad...

he should have opt for ipl instead of icl which allows him to play for black caps....hope he returns soon...

  • we are getting better every week so we will be great soon

  • our team is building with guptill and Elliot not to mention broom we will be #1 in 1 -2 years

  • Broom? Guptill? Sure they had great first performances but since then they have failed

  • Our bowling is a joke (apart from Vettori and Southee that is) - we have NO venom.. no fast bowlers WHAT SO EVER - shit, Bond smiled more than the whole team at the moment put together.. WTF NZ CRICKET/BCC/WHOEVER THE FUCK.. CHILL OUT YA CUNTS - PAY BOND A SOLID AMOUNT OF BUNCEN BURN AND AGAIN, I will enjoy not JUST our batting part of the match..lol.

  • mills is top ten ranked. better than southee anyway and obrian was one of the leading test wicket tackers last year so its not all doom and gloom

  • Southee's in shit form atm, mills is doing awesome, obrien's playing brilliantly, ryder and elliot are doing great part time, and butler has made a solid return to international cricket, wtf are u on about?

  • Bondy!!! That 2001-2002 season was the best I reckon. Nobody knew him! haha

  • Put him in the current NZ side and wow- what a team. Best spinner in the world in Vettori, two of the most exciting batsmen in Ross Taylor and McCullum and the express pace of Bond. They would be hard to beat.

ps - NZ 2 years in a row - World Beach Cricket Champions..lol - great game.

  • AWESOME bowler. One of the greatest fast bowlers post 2000. Such a shame to lose him. Kiwis are so fukin stupid. Think they are so good to get rid of him. Fuken morons in NZ cricket. Greedy power hungry cunts sucking indian cock for money. They ruined a great international career. Its not too late for him to come back tho. NZ cricket should be smart about it. Think about the game in NZ and not money. They woulda had a good change in the tests against Aus if he played.

  • get rid of him? i thought he left to play in ICL...i think he tried to play for nz and icl at the same time but its too much

  • No he didn't LEAVE to play ICL. He went to play in the ICL yes but he wanted to play for NZ as well. They didn't allow him. Even after initially saying that they would. Its not too much to play for both, all the IPL players play for their countries too.

  • ooo sorrry then

  • He still plays for Canterbury so im still able to watch him which is great.

  • The man with the third best bowling average in international cricketing history. No wonder the Aussies raved about him. Without doubt, even though he had few tests, one of the great modern day fast bowlers.

  • gteat bowler

  • New Zealand how could you lose such a bowler!! Bond o bond come back to international cricket!

  • really good player....i love the last part of the vid!

  • Its a real shame nzc shunned him. One hell of a fast bowler.

  • Get your facts right mate. It wasn't NZ cricket. It was the BCCI just cos he signed with the ICL.

  • NZC doesn't need to comply with any rules by BCCI, they just chose to bow down to their pressure. The SLC, has already unbanned their players, and hopefully more countries will follow.

  • i love this video

    pew pew pew uG

  • its a shame he is always injured!

  • 0.33 that was a mighty catch !

  • im the next big thing

  • it sucks that he cant play international. one of the fastest bowler ever

  • How New Zealand miss him....

  • best ODI bowler ever, no questions.

  • my all time favorite bowler Bond

    he is just awesome

  • we NEED bond back. Without him our bowling line up just doesn't have the sting. He had pace, bounce and swing. Devastating on his day.

It's such a mess. Now he's getting towards 34 and probably will never bowl with the same pace.

Legend. No blame at all for his decision to play IPL but let him back in, even if it's only for another year!

  • Could u imagine bondatron, southee and vettori. That would be a world class bowling line up. Southee is going to be the next big thing.

  • Actually i have heard that Shane Bond Asked the New Zealand Cricket Board if he could go to the ICL, they said yes then in February the NZ CB said "oh your in the ICL no more NZ games for you!

  • Lee, Steyn, Clark, Bond, Sidebottom and Ntini are the best fast bowlers still playing international cricket.

  • forgetting Freddie Flintoff ?

  • Great Bowler wished he'd played against England more in tests. He would examine our batmans technique more den the current New Zealand bowlers. A shame but Martin and Mills arent dat bad though.

  • He Didn't opt for the IPL it was the ICL the Indian Cricket League which is th rebel league that is why his contract has been canceled! for

    800,000 dollars who wouldnt eh?:P

  • wonderful bowler. such a shame he opted for IPL. that said, NZ cricket should have paid him his true worth, several million USD a year!

  • Reminds me of the great Waqar Younis. Both have great smooth actions similar pace early 150km mark. And both bowl amazing inswinging yorkers.Bond could've went on to be just as good if he played more

  • Just as good? Statistics suggest he was better than Waqar. Nobody in recent times has decimated the Australians the way Bond has time and time again.

  • video, great video !!!!

  • are the last swinging deliveries normal Swing or REVERSE Swing ?

  • who took that catch at 0:33 secs?

  • The Jacob Oram

  • 58s is the best delivery ever.

  • you do realise he is playing across the line right?

  • Good. But he's no Dale Steyn.

  • Don't compare dale steyn with Bond cuz Bond is 100X better

  • Dale Steyn is a chucker. Bond has a cleaner action.

  • whats up with this chucker crap, you guys should stop caring so much about bowler actions and enjoy the game. If you were complaining about maybe Malinga's action then I'd agree with you abit more but I think Steyns action is fine. Currently I'd say Bond was the better bowler due to his awesome record against Australia but that could change. Oh and thanks NZC you've just lost our best bowler by a mile.

  • You retard Malinga keeps his arm straight. Dale steyn bends it very clearly.

  • I don't see your justice in calling me a retard. I'm just stating that people should stop caring so much about bowler actions and just enjoy the game. About Malinga I was just stating that I think his parrellel to the ground action is abit weird.

  • People focus on Malinga's action because it is weird. That is ironic because his action (technically) is cleaner than most guys who bowl overarm.

But you are correct in the sense that ICC will allow bowlers to chuck provided they dont go too far with flexion like Marlon Samuels.

  • Yeah malinga is the biggest chucker

Shane Bond bowls the most deadly yorkers.

I consider him better than any other bowler playing TODAY.

  • Malinga is not a chucker you fucking retard. Muralitharan on the other hand is the biggest chucker.

  • You sir are a moron!

  • Dale Steyn is no Shane Bond!

  • Shane Bond is no Dale Steyn.....just joking both great bowlers wonder how Bond generates so much pace with that action?

  • Fuck the ICL. Fuck em to hell, ruin new zealand cricket...we were bad enough as it is...

  • no one bowls quite like shane bond

BOND! look at the guys bowling average, legendary, and he has over 120 wickets from 60 odd ODI's... and even his test record is amazing! thes the bowling Bradman!

  • voww

    i love his bowling action

    simply awsome

  • i luv the one he bowled at 1:06. amazing swing

  • Bond rocks.

  • Shane watson??? are you kidding, watch out...they'll both get injured you just watch.

  • Shane watson??? are you kidding, watch out...they'll both get injured you just watch.

  • kya faadtha hai sala

  • Hampshire have just signed him along with Shane Watson, them two are going to destroy other county set ups

  • shane watsons a dud

  • He isn't going to play for Hampshire because he won't get a No Objections Certificate from the NZ cricket board (because he played in the Indian Cricket League). And Shane Watson's crap. Look at Yorkshire, Morne Morkel, Hoggard, Bresnan, Adil Rashid and the dazzler himself, Goughy. Notts also have Sidebottom, Swann and Broad this season but prob won't have them much cause of England duty, also Charlie Shreck who is on the verge of being an England Lions regular.

  • bond kicks ass

  • Too bad this asshole can never stay healthy he would've been a joy to watch during his career.

  • No need to use the word asshole in there. Other then that I agree.

It's a shame he joined the ICL, though no one can really blame him. He's getting millions out of it and he's not even guarenteed to play any more games for NZ with his run of injurys. It's just a shame the ICC can't sanction it so he can do both. Why he wouldn't keep going until he actualy plays in the ICL is beyond me. Money hungry ICC and BCCI.

  • he also gets paid in bread crumbs by the new zealand cricket board.

  • anyone see who that pakistani player is? getting a huuugge inswinger?? most pakistani top order batsmen dont get yorked, they're used to pace bowlers back home...looks like a tailender tho,let me know...

  • great bowler cheap wickets on the doctored pitches. Its the only way we stay in the game, we are goingh to miss him though

  • james bond

  • never shaken...sometimes stirred bitches

  • Bond is simply an Anti-Aussie missle, averaging around 10 vs them. Best there is

  • Note that the yorker that bowled Gilchrist was a 150km/h INSWINGER yorker. The yorker that bowled Ganguly was the same pace but was an OUTSWINGER. It is ridiculous to think that someone can bowl at that pace, swing the ball both ways and have such unerring precision.

  • i believe

Bond has same reputation what maradona has in football

  • Its generally accepted now that Bond does have the fastest swinging yorker in the game. Gilcrest and Ponting have both said the Bond yorker is simply unplayable.

  • Hows about the catch at 30. Bonds Fkn great, but that catch was beyond belief, who took it?

  • I stand to be corrected but I have a feeling it was Jacob Oram.

  • It was Jacob Oram.

  • oh yeah man flintoffs real good lol

  • wat i mean is flintoff is gd at getting injured better than bond

  • bond is pure class best one day bowler in history the most injury prone bwler in history

  • no way flintoff has beaten him by far m8

  • really good video. Instead of commenting on Bond's bowling, I thought you deserved some credit.

  • Made by Sky TV in New Zealand, lol. They do these things between shows, called Sports Exxtra where its like a montage of clips from all kinds of sports.

  • people say akhtar is better but akhtar is a complete retard (no offence)i mean he gets it fast but it hardly gets him anywhere these days bond is prob best bowler in the world of cricket

  • go shane bond... Pitty about injury, hope he's back in time 4 the chappell-hadlee

  • so do I

  • I am afraid he won't be. He'll be back for some useless games against the Bangles though.

  • they're not playing him against bangles. They're saving him for a much tougher challenge, England. (LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL)

  • if only every team had a shane bond

  • best bowler now that McGrath has retired.

Although Lee on a good day swinging it is probably better...

  • Im a huge Lee fan, but no way man.. Lee doesnt even come close to this guys class

  • probably the only bowler to own the aussies performs against the best if he wasn't injured all the time he would be up there with the greats

  • Bond Great bowler

what makes him better is that he doesn't have the help at the other end that waqur and wasim had, same with the west indian greats they all had help but Bond has no real help.

NZ rely to much on him though even though he is a match winner.

  • to be honest bond doesnt hav to be fast to be awesomearound past 85 mph should be great standard to get to

  • Wonderful operator. Before injury he was as fast and dangerous as anything I have ever seen. A real 150K + guy. Since then sadly his speed has dropped, but he remains a wicked bowler and capable of ruining any side in international cricket.

  • Thanks for the vid! Yeah I think Bond is a more complete bowler now, slower doesn't mean not as good. Sir Richard Hadlee slowed down partway through his career and went on to take over 400 test wickets.

  • I miss the old Bond

  • Best fast bowler in world cricket followed by Vaas. The old Bond was more effective tough.
