Oh now that's just an overgrown pussy cat in a big cat's body.

This shows that if you give proper care and respect then they do the same back as well as learning to trust. I don't think animals no matter how big will attack unless they're hungry, afraid or and are protecting young. Or they have something in the background such as inter or in some cases cross breeding or they're sick i.e. rabid. With any animal if it trusts then it will feel comfortable.
