I was so happy to see this again! I lived in Copacabana, 1967-69, and my parents took Polaroids, which are poor quality. At 2:27, we see the curved front bldg., and the house, which is how I found my street, Rua Paula Freitas. For an 11-12 year old, I got around that city, restaurants, cinemas, beach, boutiques, bars, It was a wonderful place, with wonderful people and I've carried it with me, for over 40 years. Thank you so much for sharing this! I appreciate it more than words can convey.
Qualidade de imagem excelente, ainda mais para a época. Nasci nessa cidade 4 anos depois desta filmagem...O Rio não devia, na ocasião, estar muito diferente do que é mostrado aí. Rio...Lindo!
This is great!! I was born 11 years after this film was made, and it was wonderful to see Copacabana in colours. Thanks for this post, this scenes are very rare and precious. This post made my afternoon very happy, thank you very very much!!

The slum that is seen at the very begining was the Pasmado Slum, removed at 60's. Now there is a belvedere there.
At 3:25 is the Monroe Palace. Former Federal Senate building. It was demolished at 70's.
At 4:40 we can see a "stone house". It as demolished at 80's. Nowadays there is a Marriot Hotel at this place.
That is a great homemade film! Thank you very nuch for sharing it!

Cousin, as I´m living in Rio since 1969, except 4 years in Switzerland in the late 90', it was a really nice present. I love it. Thanks. Henri
