  • I love your way to show the text! Sooo lovely!!! Very simple... you don't need a modern thing for be an excellent teacher. Good Job!

    Gracias!!

  • Thank you.

  • i thought you were saying four tongs and i was really confused for the first 30 seconds of the video. helpful. thnk u

  • theres 5 tones actually , the last one is neutral . :D

  • yes but the 5th tone is hardly used. plus this a lesson for begginers so learning the 5th tone will be during more knowledge of the language.

  • yeah , but they should at least know there is a 5th tone -_-

  • i have to thank you so much for having this videos i been looking a lot for someone in yourtube with videos teaching chinese because i really need to learn some chinese before i travel to Taiwan, and from many videos your home teaching videos are best.!

  • Whoa, complex

  • This might help: If you are a muscian or singer, try finding the pitches(tones) on an instrument(piano), and then say it along with the instrument. Look at the other post that should gone after this one.

  • Of course, if you use the instrument method, it may be necessary to combined or, rather, play to two or three notes to get combinations like tone 3.

  • You are lovely:) I have suscibed and I cant wait to learn some more xxxxxxxxx

  • thank you . you are very nice !!!

  • Ni Hao!

    Ur videos help alot!!

    Xie Xie Ni!

    Xai Jian!

    =]

  • You're welcome. I am glad you found my videos helpful!

  • @LaBoricuaMasSuelta Just so no one gets confused, its zai jian, and u dont have to say ni after xiexie

  • I can speak the tones clearly, I cant wait to learn the master language!!

  • I hear the tones, but i can't pronounce them right..especially the second tone is the hardest for me..it always sounds like the third tone when i say it T___T

  • Hi! I suggest you draw a diagram, mark 1-5. 1 is the lowest; 5 is the highest. Find your pitch.

1st tone: 55, high and level, do not raise or drop

    2nd tone: 35, high raise

3rd tone: 214, low drop to your lowest then raise it up

4th tone: 51, drop from highest to your lowest

    Practice,Practice, Practice!

  • I will try harder! thank you!

  • Omg i feel u on that one!!

    I always confuse those two!!

    =/

  • "We are the knights who say NI!" - Monty Python

    Q ;-)

  • Thanks for the video. I really need help with the tones and pronouciation. This helps. Lot's of practice.

  • This is very good but your voice is not Synchronized :(

  • I had some problems on the first few videos, but I fixed them. You can check other videos out, especially from lesson 10.

  • yes the other videos are great...Please can you make a new video of these tones now that you have fixed the Synchro problem. Thanks

  • Great! Just what I was looking for=P Thanks (what is thank you in chinese?)

  • It's called "xie4 xie." It's in my lesson 4. Go check it out :))

  • I can't seem to say tone four without my eyes looking to the floor. LOL!! :)

  • I have to agree with Mindi31. You have a clear English pronunciation. The reason why I prefer listening not native English people is beacause native speakers gabble so much. :)

  • Kelly, are you a linguist? Your English is very good! Do you know any other languages besides Mandarin Chinese and English?

Thank you so much for teaching, you do great!

  • Thank you! :)

I can speak a little Japanese and French.

  • I'm glad you like it ^ ^ Learning a language is supposed to be fun! You can subscribe my video so you'll be the first one to watch my latest video.
