@supermassivebangbang my recommendation is not to go with ernie balls. i bought two sets of their '8 string sets' from MF and they ripped out not do to improper set up but they completely unwound from the ball with only that retaining wire left attached. the D'darrio ones are great but not for me since I'm literally colorblind. lol
