Yes, most of these people are Sufis, mostly from the Chisti Order in the Lineage of Hazrat Inayat Khan...but at Sufi camps like this one in Missouri, non-Sufis are welcome too. There were a few Muslims at this camp as well. ~madzub
786-92. In the video they all said the Shahadah and it appeared as though they said it with sincere conviction. So according to the Muslim Sacred Law known as Shariah they are all Muslim, walhamdulillah. They may not practice, they may not even know what wudu is let alone how to do it, but all praise is to God, they are Muslim. Seeds were sown. Allah, His Prophet, His Angels and His Awliya were all witness and that Shahada will in turn bear witness for them on the Last Day. Madad ya RijalAllah.
as far as i know that would imply that they are muslims... the song itself seems to be an english version for the song the people in medina used to sing when they welcomed prophet mohammad...
carry the mesage of Universal Sufism to the West, he was the first Sufi to come in 1910. He did not require conversion to Islam to study Sufism also he placed women in office of leadership, very rare for a Muslim in 1910. I love the history of this movement very, very unique.
