  • David Lowrey is a poet, not a god. He could stand next to you like he has to me. Just saying, believe what you want. Tune in, turn on. drop out. with me.

  • @MentalTeleprosy I think it should be spray painted on walls ala "Clapton is god". "Lowery is not god", haha. Prof Lowery is the real deal and an artist who I hold in the highest regard. Record after record after record he proves he is not only a poet, but also a fab singer, musician, arranger, producer...the list goes on and on:). I had the occasion to meet he and Cracker as well. IMHO, one couldn't meet artists much cooler than these guys.

  • the copyright document search is a good place to start. I came up with american minor and a couple of other guys. In any case Cracker plays it very well. They probably got permission to play it somehow.

  • who is the original owner of this song?? American Minor had this out before 2004. And theirs is alot better.

  • i dig it, especially the lyrics--

  • this song doesn't work w/o the harmony vocal

  • Is that how you found out?

  • the first song from this guys i heard was, Low

  • great tune 1 of many from these dudes

  • @miffybhoy08 I believe it was written by American Minor.

  • i heard this band on my APPLE TRUVU...

  • Greenland is a great disc. Lowery and company have come a long way from "Take the skinheads bowling", which is also great. Where to find more of Greenland?

  • *****

  • i better have this song nice sound

  • Good melody

  • right on to all of you; these boys got the stuff, always have. Seen em probably 20 times in across US & Europe venues big & small. have to make the campout in 08!

  • I disagree im from england and all the popular music here blows Crackers the best i so have to see them live

  • In a fair world where true ability and genius is rewarded justly, these guys would be the Rolling Stones of this generation. They're quite simply the best thing out there. See them live once and you'll be sold on them for the rest of your life.

  • @3sunset my buddy is one of the most skeptical and hard-to-impress people i know. Me and my other buddy "kidnapped" him (he was drunk and woke up enroute to cambridge) to go see CVB/Cracker play Key LIme and Kerosene at the middle east earlier this year. he still speaks of the show as the best live show he has ever seen, and he has seen many live shows. you're not kidding about seeing them live- love these guys!

  • this awesome track is on my "album of the year 2006". Greenland is absolutely a five star album. Again. What a band. And what an incredible songwriter Lowery is...

  • Actually, Lowery didn't write this song. What this really goes to show is that he's a master arranger and interpreter, as well as a composer.

  • camper van beethoven

  • I'm not gonna lie, the first time I heard the opening 2 lines of this song my heart melted a little.

    one of my fav bands.

  • I agree with fire... Low key high quality band.

  • possibly one of the most under-rated bands in history

  • im sure they love not being huge, dont shed a tear for them

  • amen to the both of you.

  • cracker is god
