How do you tell which are females and which are males? The only way ive found for lovebirds is the thing where you send in a toenail and they determine the sex. Are there any different characteristics between the two? I really want a some lovebirds but the petstore i get my pets from aren't very reliable. On a couple occasions they have gotten things wrong with me and i want to be prepared this time! So is there an easier way to find out?

you can also get them DNA sexed. I`m not exactly sure how much it is, but the breeder where I got my birds from pays an addition $25
