  • WOW COOL. I LOVE LOOKING AT COFFEE GRINDS.

  • what kind of watch is that?

  • i use canon bt this is one badass camera :-(

  • what is a good camcorder (not a dslr) to take videos with depth of field? like which camera can take the best quality videos?

  • WTF? should have shot a penny on a table or something.

  • Das Einzige was die Tiefenschärfe beeinflusst ist doch das Objektiv und der Kamerasensor, wieso habt ihr also ein kameraspezifisches Video gemacht, kein objektivspezifisches?

  • What lens is this?

    It's bokeh is amazing.

  • Where is the hoe you promised me ?

  • Whats the name of the music that is used in the video?....

  • 240 people thought this was porn

  • @MrFireballie .....241...

  • @MrFireballie :DD

  • I click on this Video to see the blond chick and I just wasted 45 seconds of my Life...

  • cheap way to get, views, easy way to get dislikes, still a cool video

  • DOF is captured by the lens. Not the camera / sensor. Yes one can create a variety of affects in camera but it's mainly the effects of the lens being used. Example: 50 1.4 shot close to subject creates great bokeh as well as DOF if you find the sweet spot of the lens. Practice and you can get the same affects with almost any lens. Some better then others but they are all capable of creating their own special affects.

  • What the hell was that BS? You show a hot ass chick on the front , but dont show her, You suck along with your gay ass video!!!

  • @geartech4 What are you 9 years old? You clicked a video because of a "hot ass girl" and when you didn't see her you insult the creator lmao. Grow up man.

  • @geartech4 well, if all men are like you, I'd rather be with women!

  • can sony HX1 Do this Dslr things ?? iam a not pro.

  • I flag your videos because of the misleading thumbs. I recommend other people to do the same.

And I was actually looking for a D7000 video... with hot chicks

  • Music? What music? (:O

  • @FrederikMeyer me lmao ... Abdelmoumen - The Universe

  • You create depth of field by using a large aperture, say F2, or at least as wide as your lens will allow. Also long lenses will allow for more depth of field, say a 100mm lens. If you shoot wide angle with a wide aperture, you will diminish the depth of field available. Maybe viewers of these kind of clips should read about how to take a photo before getting a camera. Not all cameras are point and shoot. To take a great photo, first you need to know how to exploit what your camera can do.

  • @chmiroau you have it the other way my friend. using a wide aperture diminishes the depth of field and a wide angle lens increases the depth of field. so in turn, long lenses actually compress distance as well as have a narrower depth of field.

  • @roydtauro You are right. A large aperture does diminish the 'depth of field" as does the use of a long lens. However with the above video what they are looking for is a tiny field of focus and the ways that you can create the above effects is to use very wide apertures, and long lenses. I was answering the previous reply er question the easiest way possible. I didn't want to confuse the situation by having to correct the language aspect in both the video and from the reply er. Sorry for that.

  • @roydtauro Maybe the original poster of the video should correct his title to be,, shallow depth of field. Hehe.

  • @chmiroau Yes perhaps! A lot of people get confused with Depth of Field, so changing the title is a good idea lol

  • HOW DO YOU DO DEPTH OF FIELD?

  • @gadsiegadsie you can change the depth of field by adjusting the aperture (or iris) on your camera, as well as by varying the focal length (or zoom) that you use.

  • @thevid9090

Looks like ground coffee to me,

The bottom of the image at the end of the dolly move, looked like it was spinning. Photoshop has an blur effect that is similar.

  • @thevid9090 Yes it's shit... but Nikon make beautiful images from shit don't you think?

  • What lens is this

  • Wonderfull music !!!

  • You are showing us how far the consumer equipment can take us, when done right!

Thank you for sharing your productions!

May you get much business from these!!! -Cheers.

  • Wheres the CHICK!

  • Depth of field is a function of the lens, not the camera. What is you point?

  • where is sexy woman?!

  • production spells with "C"!

  • @themrjohnl german?

  • thumbs up, if you clicked for the girl :D

  • FAG!!! you tricked us!

  • YOUR links dont work can someone tell me the na,me of the song please & thank you

  • @calikalinfo

If you would watch the video until the end you would know the title and artist ;-)

  • @FenchelJanisch Good point but thanks i already found his whole album :]

  • @FenchelJanisch song kicks ass... video too.. just a little too short.

  • @FenchelJanisch "Ain't", that the truth. : -)

  • whats the music please and such amazing video ;}

  • @calikalinfo

Oh my fucking god.... Watch the credits.

  • This is kak...

  • nekem tetszik

  • your video seems like they are made with a second meaning haha

  • my friends did some other short film with D7000, check them out!

Search "A moments indulgence" and "The Hedonist" - Poubelle International" in youtube~

  • actually a camera has no depth of field.. its all down to the lens.

  • nice work!

  • New blog about filming, editing and DSLR video:

    fenchel-janisch[dot]com

  • awsome clip...............was wondering what your secondary light source is-if in fact if there isn't one- then I must say that it's very well done...

Just got the d7000 and sooooooo looking forward to experimenting with it

    great job

  • @earthunit1

    We used a Litepanels LP-Micro.

  • can you tell me what lens did you use on this video and what settings...

  • What do you think of D3100 camera?

  • @izgil82

We haven't tested the camera yet...

  • You are good. I may buy this camera, but I am concerned no 1080 30p because of inability to match other footage. I change mtbmind watching your stuff. What lens gives that shallow depth of field

  • Your videos looks good on my 1080 monitor. Have you try transcoding with Cineform NeoScene to make the artifacts more organic?

  • Great videos, you re very talented!

  • Hello

Awesome video, I have the same lense and camera, but I can not get as close up as you are, need at least 3 feet between lense and object, am I missing something?

  • Does the D7000 AF with AF-D lenses during movie recording?

  • @tandeniecejulian

    Yes, it should work...

  • @FenchelJanisch

This is good news. I thought it would only AF on AF-S lenses. Thanks for the reply.

  • hey love ur videos but if i make movies with this camera, can i switch the depth of field like close to far and far to medium or far to close and so on. im not really an expert and i might get this in christmas

  • @figter0223

    Hi,

yes you can "switch" the depth of field. It's a matter of the lens / aperture.

Low aperture (for example f/1.4) is good for an extreme depth of field and you can focus something that is very close to the lense. High aperture is the opposite!

  • @FenchelJanisch thanks and if i switch the depth of field thats manual and is it possible to leave it automatic like leave the depth of field automatic like without using the lens

  • Nice the D7000 could have had a full swiveling LCD screen for ease of capturing unique shots like these

  • Not sure if it's just me, but is the noise normal for this camera, or is it just the compression for Youtube?

  • @bellographix

    You're right, it's the compression!

  • NIce, nice, very nice I just love how it's handles this depth. I have f1.8 version and I love it to the bone!

  • Compare the D7000 to the canon 7D please! :)

  • @russellskates

A comparison is now available (on our channel)!

  • Can you compare D7000 with D550...???

I like your work ...every thing is great :)

  • @ArtSoulGroup

    Thank you!

At this point of time we have a lot to do and no Canon EOS 550D / T2i to test...

  • very nice dof is it 85mm f1.4?

  • What is the stuff in the first shot? Dirt? Beef?

  • @TheJocko411

    No, ground coffee!
