There's something called saving, even Macs don't help ya if you don't save it. And just fyi Windows 2003 - Windows Vista saves crashed work (IE comp freezes, document freezes, etc. etc.). Also, there have been many problems with online courses (such as college, drivers ed, or health, etc. etc.) functioning with the Mac and Safari. So if you plan to take online classes, make sure the Mac can access it. There are a lot more problems I can list of the Mac.
I do believe that with "A Mac never crashes" they mean that the system does never lock up. That would be more appropriate to say, as that is true, whilst on low end machines Windows always locks up.
Macintosh OS runs in sandbox mode, so when a application crash, it just quits, and then gives you the option to send a error report to Apple.

Im a loyal PC user and used it since i was a kid. Well ive bought a Vaio and used it for DJ'ing and it crashed so the whole party got fucked up and i didnt get my money and all that shit. So i thinked about getting a Mac as it never crash, and now ive been using it for a year and everything is fine. You need to remember that what OS a person uses is their preference. If they like macs because they are simple or good for gaming. Or if they want the slightly more complex windows system. Sure windows isn't for gaming, Windows is for people with a little bit more, I would say it is for programming, web design, graphic design. Or if you use Linux/ Unix because you like a command-line based OS. Maybe you need it for hosting, networking. Personally I use every Os. I keep them all on bootable CDs.

There's something called saving, even Macs don't help ya if you don't save it. And just fyi Windows 2003 - Windows Vista saves crashed work (IE comp freezes, document freezes, etc. etc.). Also, there have been many problems with online courses (such as college, drivers ed, or health, etc. etc.) functioning with the Mac and Safari. So if you plan to take online classes, make sure the Mac can access it. There are a lot more problems I can list of the Mac.

I do believe that with "A Mac never crashes" they mean that the system does never lock up. That would be more appropriate to say, as that is true, whilst on low end machines Windows always locks up.
Macintosh OS runs in sandbox mode, so when a application crash, it just quits, and then gives you the option to send a error report to Apple.

How many files have you got?
I have about 500.000, PLUS all the Velo Code which adds another few thousands. Then we have the website which adds a couple of thousands too. Windows doesn't find things as easy as a Mac does. I still like both though.

The only thing macs are good for are final cut and graphic design. Given PCs get viruses, but every time I got one I was able to get rid of it. Actually now that I think about it, there are some viruses for the mac now, and since there is no anti virus for a mac, then your screwed if you get it. If you buy a mac for other than final cut or graphic design, then ou are computer retarded. Just watch all these mac ads and see the blank stares the mac users all have on their faces.

But yeah, my PC hasn't crashed on its own accord in awhile, last time it crashed was when I was quitting Starcraft 2 a couple weeks ago but that was because of a bug in the game (that they've fixed since then).

Also, Macs are waaaayyyy more expensive than PCs and they essentially do the same thing. Also you can't really customize them so that's also a problem.

Im a loyal PC user and used it since i was a kid. Well ive bought a Vaio and used it for DJ'ing and it crashed so the whole party got fucked up and i didnt get my money and all that shit. So i thinked about getting a Mac as it never crash, and now ive been using it for a year and everything is fine. (I dont use it for other thing's than DJ'ing) And i really hate that you cant right click on a Mac wich makes everything much more complicated.... (there are of course many other things that sucks!)

i used to be a pc user, but i got a mac for my first computer, and it is so much better than pc. there are so many cool thing that you can do on a mac that are not possible on a pc. and plus, you don't have to read this 6000 page manual to learn how to use a mac or even listen to some corny tutorial. everything is obvious and easy.

You need to remember that what OS a person uses is their preference. If they like macs because they are simple or good for gaming. Or if they want the slightly more complex windows system. Sure windows isn't for gaming, Windows is for people with a little bit more, I would say it is for programming, web design, graphic design. Or if you use Linux/ Unix because you like a command-line based OS. Maybe you need it for hosting, networking. Personally I use every Os. I keep them all on bootable CDs.

Mine crashes... they all crash but the last 9 months with Apple have been rotten! I'm a 25 year mac user. I am sick of the image only attitude at the company. However, that is also a small piece of why MS has so many problems building a reliable OS- they have to support every oddball piece of hardware out there (not that you use poor or outdated hardware, but so many do).
