I made the product, But it happens to Get hard and dry up really fast on the shoe or even before it gets on the shoe. Whats there that i'm doing wrong? or is is suppose to be hard? let me know wasup.
Does anyone know if this would fix yellowing on the back heel tab of the air jordan 3? Because i restored my Fire Red III's but the tab is really yellow. Please help
QUESTION: Should I use a very small amount of Clear Acetone (nail polish remover) in the mix? Maybe like a teaspoon of it??? Someone told me that would work even better in this recipe if Im cleaning Icy bottoms of the Jordan Varsity 6's. Please let me know your opinion. Thanks!!!!!!!
I tried it on my fire red 5's and it did clear up the soles a little, not much on the netting. I left them in the sun for like 2 hours. I bet if I do it 3 or 4 more times it should give great results.
Does this work for the Mesh on the sides of jordan 5's i just got a pair of OG grapes and i want to un yellow the mesh on the tounge and on the sides along with the sole ( icy sole ) would it work for all of them?
ive been doing this to my pearl foamposites for two days, and they lighted up a lil bit but not that much, so how much longer will i have to do this process in order to have icey soles
i have an important question i use this method but when its done the retrobrite dries up on the shoe and leaves a white residue and its very hard to get out of crimises is there anyway i can fix that like should i saran wrap the retrobrite so it dosent dry up idk what to do someone please help
Aye hit me up @ BlackQuest89 I have effective method to keeping the foamposite and air Jordan especially icey it's not a seaglow or retrobright alternative this is just a great aftercare home made product to clean the shoe.
I tried doing this and I didn't really see any results. how many sessions should I do if the sole is really yellow? I've done two and I don't think anything happened
@IsPieCool keep it in the microwave till it becomes thick, put it in the microwave for 40 seconds, if it isnt thick put it in for 10 seconds , if it still isnt another 10 seo]conds, this happened to me
@SneakerZeeker actually sea glow or retr0bright aren't what cause the sole separation, its the heat from the sun that causes the separation so you have to be careful no matter which one you are using
be careful if ur using the 12% peroxide cuz it burned of small parts of the leather on my infrared 6s and my black/maize 7s...i was able to paint it and its not as noticeable but be cautious
@SwAgBkAPoLoKiNg with this exact recipe (3% peroxide) probably 6 or 7 sessions. The sessions could each be 1 or 2 hrs outdoor or anywhere from 4-10 hrs indoors. its gonna vary with every shoe and the amount of yellowing. I leave them in my indoor setup all night and that gets the job done pretty quick
@SneakerRevival Thanks.. Cause Im Trinna Make My Colombia's And Space Jams Icy Again And Ive Been Doing This Method 2 Days Str8 Now.. I But The RetroBright On Them Then Leave Em Outside Until They Dry Clean It Off And Repeat The Process. Ive Been Seeing A Lil Bit Of Results But Nothing Of The Ones You Received With The Cool Greys...
@SwAgBkAPoLoKiNg try this instead, learned this tip from restoremysneakers after I made this video. Put a piece of saran wrap over the sole of the shoe after you apply the retrobright. it will make it so it doesn't dry out and it's work better.
@ElGrupoFuereno1 @ElGrupoFuereno1 if you cover it with saran wrap after you apply it it won't dry out. i learned that after making this video. but it would dry out in like an hour outside and 2 hours or so inside
@Mr05ive gonna be honest with you man, i have NO idea if arm and hammer would work. if your looking for something different id say your best bet would be a knock of brand oxygen cleaner in powder form
@SneakerRevival thanks, saw slight results, the white residue that i got after my sessions were hard to clean off so i just left my soles the way they were, hah
@barryhudson12 around 4 or 5 on my 4's and 7 or 8 on my icy soles. if you did it 5 times you should have seen some results. something had to have went wrong with either the retr0bright or incorrect lighting.
@123JAILBREAKME i know I have got results removing yellowed gray and white rubbers. those are the only colors i have really seen actually get yellowed.
@optimusp517 after youve added the peroxide you need to apply it within 3 hours, if you keep them seperate you have a while. check restoremysneakers video on it they have some more detail on the actual shelf life
Bro I went to sallys and they didnt have straight peroxide they have developer wit a high concentration of peroxide in it would that work LMK asap please
@tlawrence117 a guy on solecollector was saying he read that the high concentrations of hydrogen peroxide (40%) can damage the surfaces you apply retr0bright to. Im sure the developer is using 40%. Supposedly anything higher than 12% can damage your shoes. so just be careful, it all depends on what your using, id hate to see anyone mess up their kicks. good luck man
I've had a restoration business for years and been using seaglow for a min and I'm happy with the results but it gets pricey and time consuming but I hope I get the same results cuz I'd love to drop the prices for customers GREAT VID BRO
My solution was watery & foamy, not thickning like urs, idk same ingredients tho, got Icy Soles & White midsole (& shelltoes) out there.. gonna check back in like 30, hopefully it works !
@totalfreshness yea its really hard to get the consistency the same as you did before just a little corn starch more or less makes a huge difference in the thickness. good luck man
A lot of people on sole collector have been getting results on icy soles. ill post a video of my attempt soon. you may need to experiment with higher percentages.
The reason it mite not work on clear soles is because your hydrogen peroxide strength is too low, the one in this video is 3% if you want results you gotta find one that's 12% which is found at a health food store
@SneakerRevival hey bro i dont think this stuff works on clear soles and i tried in different container and it stayed white but have you tried it on icy soles????
@SneakerRevival well the only thing i used different was instead of Oxy clean i used LA's totally awesome oxy clean do you think thats what it is?? but is white too??
@210brucelee i just check out some of there products, a lot of there products have sort of a brown tint to it... maybe there i just some ingredient in there that did that. If thats the only ingredient you changed then id think that would be the problem. Good luck man
@210brucelee hmm thats weird haha being as all the ingredients are clear or white... im not sure how it could come out brown. its been perfectly white when i have made it. did you use just normal what corn starch? maybe the containter you use was dirty or it some how colored the substance. if i were you i wouldnt use it if it came out brown it could stain your shoes. try it again making sure to use a white container and everything is clean. wish i could help you more!
@TuNice23 Im not sure i have only used 3%. You could try walgreens maybe? i know its available online..... alot of people are getting results with just 3%. If i find some higher percentage locally ill test it out.
