  • Is this a 4 channel helicopter? And would it be a good next level heli If i just mastered the reflex?

  • make sure u have a good fully charged battery. then rebind transmitter and heli. then work on trim adjustments. then go buy 150 mah li-pos on ebay. then u are good to go

  • When I launch my heli it spins around....I can balance it but when I try to go back or forward it starts to spin again!I can balance it only for some seconds!

Is there something wrong.?..just unboxed it and I can't find any problems

    plz help

  • @poveyno1 you didnt read the instructions.

  • ugh sorry the blade MCX I got thats not how you charge it

  • when i bought mine (2 days ago) i look an the battery it said 120 mah.

  • I have the Blade MCX also. It's great!

  • does bind n fly helis and planes work with any Tx?

  • i love hobby town usa

  • mine didnt come with the white things like it said it would :(

  • Comment removed

  • Bs it's not delicate my hello droped 20 ft and flies fine. This is an awesome heli

  • Ha nice shirt!

  • dude go into your bedroom and fly it over your wife (in the dark) lol...

  • Very old

  • do you kno if this heli can be bound with the dx5 ?

  • @dirtbike5100 yes it can be bound with th dx5 or any dsm2 tx

  • nice DX6i :)

  • i beg to differ about the crashing, while playing with my one i have lost count of the times i have hit wall, and it has dropped 15ft, its even survived a 40 ft drop when the battery died! apart from one time when the balancer bar came off, it has not broken, seems to withstand quite a beating.

  • who only u whoude ask that

  • have you got any videos of you wife

  • Try use an UV-lamp - im sure it will look cool!

  • Dang, haha. How do you fly them so well. When I try to fly them they just go everywhere. Do you just learn when you use them more?

  • i need to get one finally now i wont have to buy 5 more cheap helicopter at wal mart those things always brake and theres no replacement parts

  • i like your name night flier

  • I have the s300, and I watch all your videos, (I like the rc aircraft carrier!) But this heli fits your username :)

  • I can understand why some people might like for it to have a battery powered charger, since they can take it out into fields and such without having to find an outlet to charge it. But 4 AA batteries can't last all that long to charge the battery, either. I'd guess probably just a few times at most. Does it come with an AC wall charger, as well? Or is it possible to get one for it?

  • Get the new E-flight Celectra 4 port charger. It comes standard with the mSR and does include an A/C adapter for indoor use. It uses 4 D cell batteries and can charege 4 of those little 3.7 volt Lipos we use in these small helis and airplanes. I have one and I love it!

  • how did you sync the remote with the mcx???

  • is this 3CH or 4CH??

  • 4ch

  • i like it your a really good pilot.

  • yes but can you do a piro flip with it ?

  • very cool video!! today i got my MCX and it's soooo funny to fly with it. this little heli is so exact to fly. i never have seen something like this before.

    nice greets from germany.

    SilverBloodLine

  • is the blade mcx an Aussie helicopter

  • have the same one...or had. i sat on it and it broke! can you send me 1 ;)

  • Very cool video. I'm so tempted to get one of these lol. Thanks for sharing with us =D

  • can you bind it with a the futaba 7 cap 2.4GHz?

  • you can bind it with every DSM2 technology transmitter

  • even Futaba?

  • no cuz futaba uses fasst technology and spectrum uses dsm2

  • Hey Mr. Dave,

I have a problem with my charger the red light turn's on but never go out mayby you can help me ?

    Thanks.

  • That happened to me when the chargers batteries were low. I replaced the batteries and the charger worked correctly again.

  • your video was by far the most helpful ive found

  • HTATS SO COOL

  • Comment removed

  • GooD HElicopter xD

  • i just got one and love it, do u recommend the Heli-Max AXE CPv3 as my next heli to get?

  • That is a good one,but I Iike the Honeybees myself.

  • @jmey107 my dad got the axe cpv3 and he cannot fly it it would not get it as your seccond one if all you have flown is the blade mcx because it is not stable at all.

  • @jmey107 BLADE MCR IS THE NEX STEP

  • @pabloesking7 that would be mSR and no its not the "next step" for everybody as it is quite pricey and not too suitable for too small an indoor space. A solo pro II would probably be more fitting.

also, WE DONT TALK LIKE THIS ON THE INTERNETZORS OKAI?

  • @Capilee got mixed up i've got the blade mcx and the msr plus a twister aggressor ! and the blade msr is not pricey unless ya broke i got a red msr and a blue 1 and there only £135 ! and wot do u mean we dont talk like this talk like wot ?

  • @Capilee talk like wot u donut ? i got mixed up i got 2 msr and a mcx and twister aggressor and i fink the msr is the nex step took me 2 weeks to learn how 2 zip it round a small room

  • that is a nice heli

  • Thanks

  • nice that is cool in the dark

  • Thanks.

  • Hi Dave, I'm having a great time flying my mCX, but I am feeling adventurous, and would like to try a single rotor Heli. Can you recommend a single rotor heli for indoor flying only...my flying space is about 9' X 16' X 8' ceiling. Regretably outdoor flying is not an option. Thanks for all the great video. Gord

  • The only next step up would be the Honeybee MK3 fixed pitch. Small rooms cause winds from the bigger rotors to gust, so it takes more skill.

  • Awesome. I purchased mine from Hobby Town USA as well. I also bought an extra battery.

  • All right. Have fun.

  • Awsome video.Could you please help me?I broke the upper hub and took apart more than needed, but i finally got it together and it flies backwards but not foward,or sidways?

  • Make a video, but it sounds like the swash plate may have separated. The bottom half pushes up into the top half. If if comes apart it will fly like you describe after a crash.

  • hey guy, when you bind to a new heli or rx, you need to unplug the battery after bind then plug it back up, dont ever bind and then just take off , bind, unplug, turn off tx, and rx, then turn on tx and then rx again,

  • The MCX does not require that, buddyj, Cause every time you turn it on, it rebinds. Dont you have one or is this too tame for you too.

  • cool vids night flyer ,i love stuff like that

  • Thanks kindly.

  • Smooth flying

  • Thanks.

  • i aint being mean but u look like hitler do somethign with the moustache!

  • Shame on you. What does this have to do with this video? It sure is an unproductive comment.

  • hi i have the mcx great heli, i crashed it but now will not move foward or reverse can you help fix

  • Check to see if the swash plate separated. If it did, push it back together from the bottom up. If you have no fore and aft servo movement, then the servo is bad.

  • you should get a micro mosquito because thats a very stable heli. oh and try not to get one with color changing leds if your getting one

  • Dear mr.herbert,

I was wondering does this heli help you learn to fly a normal two blade heli, and if you are gonna practice on your sim to train flying helis what should i practice from start to finish?thanks for your help, sinceraly, nick

  • This heli has the same control functions of bigger tail rotored helis, so this would be a great beginning heli.

Do not practice flying with 3 d helis. Practice with big slow ones. Like on Clearview sims, they have a Fixed Pitch Honeybee and also a Blade coaxial, you might like to fly.

  • oh hey where do you get those glowing parts

  • They had them at Hobbytown USA

  • Right now there is a package running from horizon. It comes with every glow in the dark part and 2 spare batteries for only 125.

  • Hurray!

  • $1.25 or $125

  • $125

  • can you pm me and give me your 9 heli tips and rules

    i would really appriciate it.

  • On the way in a PM.

  • I love this video!!! Congratulations on all of the views, if you ever get the chance check out my Blade mCX videos!!!

  • Thanks kindly. I will look at them as soon as I can.

  • Mr. Herbert

Can u show how to repair the mcx,I broke me inner shaft, how do i repair it and how do you change the motors they look like they be glude in?

    Thanks for your time

    jim

  • Hmmm? I have not broken mine yet, so will have to look closer at it, as I dont want to take it apart.

  • The other thing we've noticed is that if you whip it around in a U-turn too fast, the blades flex and collide with the flybar and the flybar snaps off in mid-air. To prevent this, just don't mash on it too hard when doing a U-turn. This heli is so easy to control and fun to fly, that you just want to push it as hard as you can. He he..I guess a little self-control isn't such a bad thing =)

  • Haha. Bet you drive your Porsche wide open too. LOL.

  • Hahahaa...well, my dirtbike anyway ;-)

Hey, one other thing; how can I get a copy of your "9 tips & rules for flying RC helicopters"? I've searched for them on the interwebs, but I can't seem to find them online. Thanks Mr. Herbert!

  • Tips away in a PM.

  • I LOVE my Blade MCX! It's the best co-axial heli I've flown yet. You say in your video that this heli is very delicate, however, my friends and I have found that this little guy is quite crash-resistant. Although we've crashed quite a few times, they just don't break! Most of the time anyway. A few exceptions to this: Don't buy the glow in the dark landing gear. 3 sets later and we've decided that there must be a flaw in that gear. We've found the stock black gear holds up better.

  • Thanks. Your right about the LG too.

  • Hey night flyer I have the blade mcx and i wondered if you knew they make a swash plate and main frame the glow in the dark how hard do you think it would be to install them

  • Yes, I knew they had them, but I didnt feel it needed them. My other video (see the right hand video response above) shows it flying with a blacklight, and it is not going to be all that noticeable even with the light. Anyway thanks for the tips. I hate changing swashplates, but this should not be too bad.

  • Ywa i thought the same thing I just got the landing gear rotors canopy and tail fin also i broke the main rotor haed and order the part do you know if its hard to replace those

  • Not too bad to replace.

  • thanks for this video, i just binded my dx61 to the mcx, i love this helicopter

  • Your welcome. Glad your enjoying.

  • Hey night flyer i wondered if you could do a review on the E-flight blade cp+

  • If I get one, I will.

  • i have a parkzone transmiter which is ZX10 system and it should be capble of binding but i cant seem to get it to work with this heli is it still able to bind if you have bout the RTF version ?

  • Most of the zx10 radios are on 27MHz and the T-28 ZX10s are on 72 mhz FM.

The radio in the MCX is a 2.4 Ghz Spread Spectrum and cant bind to the Zx10's. The box the MCX came in shows pictures on it of all the radios that Will work with it. Good luck.

  • thanks i was just asking because i bout the trtf and i think my parkzone zx 10 is able to bind thanks again

  • dave did you know there is a glow in the dark swash plate

  • Yes.

  • you should get a double 4 foot black light florescent and those glow parts will be much much brighter.

i love your vids man. keep it up. i think the MCX will be my first step into rc heli world.

    :)

  • Haha. Since Making this video, I now have 6 Blacklights in my garage. LOL.

  • yea i found your other blacklight flying one, right after i posted this. LOL

    my bad, but go you!!!

  • my beloved mcx has stopped working

    the li-po battery won't charge :(

  • Bummer. Battery or charger batteries may be bad. New batteries for the MCX are $12.

  • thx for the help

  • Do you know if the RTF version can be bound to a different to the the one that came in the box? I think your videos are great too, very informative.

  • Thanks. I think they can be bound to other Helis on 2.4ghz with DSM2 versions.

  • Yes, Alkalines work way better.

  • i had thos batterys in the charger, and it didnt last a day, didnt stop charging, and i thought the batterys were fryed because of the minute run time after a 30 min. charge.

    (DONT USE THEM)

  • OMG, THANK YOU

without this video i would have gotten lost in the controller's directions and given up.

    U SAVED MY HELI

  • Thanks kindly. Good luck.

  • i made the 1st micro belt drevin heli fly goooooooood and it flys 3d it is 5in long

  • Really. Lets see the video.

  • what do u know about xcell 60

  • I used to have one a long time ago. It was Made By Miniature Aircraft corporation. Mine had a SuperTigre .61 in it and it always flew nice and smooth.

  • hey will my futaba fast 7c or just just spectrum 2.4 ones /?

  • It must be a 2.4 GHZ spread spectrum radio.

  • could you do a review of the t-rex 450se kit with a futaba 2.4ghz 6exa transmitter???

  • Since I am getting a Blu Ray video ready to test, it wont be for a while, as I like it better than The t rex so probably wont buy one. But if you send me one, as others have, I will certainly do a review on it and send it back.

  • Very nice vid Dave =) just recently got my Blade MCX too. Check out my vid =)

  • Very cool. Nice vid too.

  • I tested one of these and was amazed at how precise it is ...so i bought it...kudos once again o horizon hobby

  • Great. Hope you have lots of fun with it.

  • how many channels are there

  • 4, El, Ail Throttle, Rudder(tail rotor) There is no tail rotor, but the 4th control manages that turn without one.

  • can u conect (bind) the transmiter u have to any rc heli? and what about planes?

  • Yes, I can bind my Spektrum 6i to 20 other helicopters or planes.

  • hey dave, i felt just like you did when i first flew my mcx. totally amazed a heli this

size , with this kind of control. see ya.

  • Great. Sure glad you like it like I do.

  • uummm i have a question my friend has one and im getting one tommorrow and i was wondering

if we can fly 2 blade mcx at the same time

becouse he has the rtf version and im gonna get the same thing

  • Yes. They both are 2.4 ghz with binding TXs and they will allow multiple helis to fly at the same time. Have fun and good luck with it.

  • but does it have to be bind and fly

or both of them can be the ready to fly version

  • hi dave i just bought a reflex for 70$ and i already own a blade cx2 so i no i can by the cheaper version of this so should i instead return the reflex and get this it seems ALOT better!!!!

  • Yep, you would be much happier with this, that is for sure and it is fun too.

  • BTW.pretty little lipo battery

  • Oh,it cost more than lama v4.

  • How much did the hellicopter cost and how much did the controler cost

  • The helis was $99 without the TX. I used my Spektrum 6i for it. You can buy the whole setup RTF for $129.

  • omfg!!!!that is fucking stable

  • Thanks, but you do not need to use that language here.

  • I think I'm going to get my father and I each one of these for Christmas.. I love the CX2, but this would be much more fun flying around the house! Thank you for another great review!

  • Thanks kindly. Yep, this one is great in the house and lots of fun.

  • Cool.. maybe put it under a bright light first the get the glow parts brighter, or I guess it doesn't look as bright on film.

  • I have tried that. Wait til the next night video. I think I found the answer.

  • yeah sioux falls!!!

  • LOL. Going Roller skating there tomorrow night. Come on down....7 to 9.

  • i think thats the same laptop that i have

  • LOL. Mine is Gateway Ultra Bright Widescreen. Watch for my next video, as I fly the Aerofly to show how to use my fingers on the transmitter. You will see a lot of the LT then...

  • Thank you very much!

  • Another good show Mr. Herbert! Great job on flying that heli! I am gonna start myself very soon on flying R/C Heli's and Planes. Which do you recommend to fly first? And if so good starters please.. I was considering one of the Havoc Heli's from AirHogs and SpinMaster, and then moving on to the StormLauncher for a plane type R/C vehicle. Is that a good plan?

  • Thanks for your comments. This is way better to learn on than the Havocs. They are elevator helis with no steering, and can only spin.

SL is fun, but it is best to learn how to fly first, as they are quite different with no way to glide or steer when the battery dies, as motors do those tasks. THis heli and a good Simulator like Aerofly is the best plan. Also, request my 9 heli flying tips and rules of thumb, if you do not have them, for more insight. Good luck.

  • also can you bind with a centurion controler

  • Not enough channels on the Centurian. It is 3, and the MCX is 4.

  • ok so i will buy the one with the remote then

  • This heli is amazing! I went to the hobby store a few days back (Hobbytown USA) and was getting replacement parts for my plane (BAD crash, fixed it though) and while at the counter checking out I saw the Blade MCX on display and was startled to see how tiny it was! After commenting on this to the hobby people ;) One said, "Oh yeah, that reminds me, I was going to fly it" I stayed and watched and was amazed! He made it hover then put down the TX and WALKED AWAY! The heli just sat there, hovering.

  • Yep. It is nice.

  • hey im kinda a starter would you recommend the micro mosquito as seen in radio shack as a good starter i dont have a lot just two picco zs havoc heli and idr the name of the other one but they are EMTR your design is awesome but i have to say i didnt think it would work suprised me get back asap plz thanks alot

  • I do not recommend the Micro mosquito. Those are elevator helis. The BLADE MCX is the best way to go for beginners to move into a heli that you can actually steer around. Thanks for your comments.

  • sohould you need to know how to fly planes befor trying heli's

  • Not really. They are different in many respects. Understanding flight and how they work, will help the most.

  • It takes a lot of commitment for you to reply to all these questions you get, and thank-you for your quick reply. I'll keep you posted when I get my new CP2!! Are you still building the training stands?

  • Thanks very kindly. Not building the stands, but have a parts list and instructions available. It took too much of my time, and these comment answers take about 3 hours a day, so I had to stop.

  • i like the glowing blades :)

thanx mr dave for this video :)

  • Thanks kindly.

  • Hey Mr. Herbert. I just want to start off by saying thanks for all your vids. I have a modified MCX heli and a CX2 and am wanting to move to the next step. I notice below that you recommended the HoneyBee CP2. I just have 3 quick questions. I want to know if the Blade cp+ RTF is comparable to the HoneyBee? Also, would the Blade CP Pro RTF be to advanced of a jump? Which of these three helis would you recommend? Thanks for your time. I can't wait to get my next heli!

  • Flying an RC model HELI is about the same as trying to balance a BALL BEARING in SPACE! You move it slightly, and you have to do EVERYTHING YOU CAN, moving7 CONTROLS AT ONCE, just to get stopped let alone trying to GET IT BACK to you! This is happens with RC HELI Pilots and why there are so few of us around.

Its NERVE-WRACKING for most and WHY only 4% of the people, actually advance to hover, let alone on to 3D (stunts).

So learn on a VW,(CP2) and if you never crash it, then get the Porsche!

  • love the glow in the dark
