Fighting for peace is like f--king for chastity. ~General George S. Patton
Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. ~Dwight D. Eisenhower
i was in the navy at time, i was not in the shit like they were the song brought me back to to war that seem that we could not win but they the poeple at home called us baby killers
Kostasvolos11, What is your problem. We never went to war for oil that has been prov en it was used by politicians. There is no free health care ask country's who have the crap they have been pushing on us. Any country needs respect first then.Who do you think hate us the one who hate freedom. I went to Vietnam 1969 to 1970 very proud and would do it again.100% disabled vet.
i can only imagine you must be an american who would rather pay for health insurance every year and have people who can't afford it die in the street >.>
americans and canadians both pay taxes our schools, sewage systems, roads etc etc are of higher standard then yours and they as well as the health care taxes taxs but it abouts to about $50 a year for the health care ...how much does yours cost?
I was with the rainbow division..in the NAM era..from NEW YORK..WE DID OUR BEST..GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS..BRING THEM HOME SAFE....THEY are in my prayers..ALWAYS!!....RIC!!
I was marines in Vietnam and am very proud. I am with all of you & your kids. GOD BLESS ALL of you & I am proud to see young folks today fight for our country. Thank you for taking care of our nation!!!!
understanding the true value of freedom means respecting the liberty of others.I am greek and I have always been filo-american,nevertheless,I have to admitt,I find it hard to understand how war on terror became occupation for oil.instead of facing the hot issues that should concern every american, such as free health care for everyone, you are entering in a vicious circle of isolation and hate towards shepards and muslim ignorants, setting as your priority to guide them to democracy.good luck
It seems to be very easy for people to give up their libery and freedom for perceived security. What made America a great country was the desire for liberty, desiring not be under the thumb of the government. When the majority decides to rely on the government instead of being self reliant, then we have died. Because people who desire this have no life in them, just an exsistance.
I want to commend you for your service. My son who is a Green Beret has just informed me that he has volunteered to go to Afghanistan. I'm so frightened yet proud of who he is! He is leaving behind a beautiful wife and sweet seven year old daughter.

2020ric - Thank you Sir. A bond certainly
does exist between men that have fought and served. Many thousands paying the
ultimate price which is the nature of ser
ving and being a soldier, a fighting man.
Those who have`nt been there wont under
stand. US soldiers are great and proud
serving men and have paid dearly to keep
the world free. My heart is broken that so
many have fell for what they beleived to be
a just cause. Eventually being undone by politics, so many lives lost in vain.
rooidiertjie 2 years ago 6
This heart tearing song is just great great
stuff. I am not American, but this song is
truly universal. Fighting and military men
from all over the world take pride in it.
It wakes up and stirs something fragile inside, inside even a hardened soldiers heart. Ex South African army.
