  • check out my truck lol same color too but mines limited lol :p

  • @toyota4life94 i see...typical toyota owner,,,cant stand up to any abuse,,,just like the toyota trucks...ok kid

  • @toyota4life94 so tell me in your big 17 years of life...give me some past experience's with toyota's in the last 20 years?..or any other car for that matter?..i have tools older then you ...and dont tell me something like..oh..my dad this or my mom that ..or my uncle had one..i just want your own experience's ..well gatta go ..gatta hop in my 21 year old mercury and get some beer..i can do that ..i am of legal age...later

  • @toyota4life94 if toyota is so great like you claim them to be..then why doesnt any police agency use any kind of toyota at all?..why doesnt toyota make ambulance chasis?..or firetrucks?..seems to me all of the important vehicles are american and not toyota..why is that ?..i tell you like i tell everyone else..if you ever needed a cop or ambulance or fire truck..not one of them will show up at your house in a toyota ....NOT ONE ..you can thank an american truck to cover your ass

  • @toyota4life94 hey if toyota is so great..ask them how is their dump truck market doing to the big 3?...or how is that diesel motor treating toyota owners today?...lets face it kid..all of the hard , back braking work is done with the big 3's trucks...toyota [ONLY] makes 1 full size pick up..yet the big 3 have a full line of trucks and vans for most any job..how well is that new truck toyota has doing against the ford raptor?..oh..sorry.they dont make anything like that at all

  • @toyota4life94 one last thing..i am not going to talk to someone who is only 17 about america's economics ..hell my 2 fords are older then you..you know?..the ones you say are junk..and i like toyota's,,i like the money i make off of them .my ford rollback will tow anything..including toyota's and hondas as well ..my ford doesnt care what brand is on its back....it will tow it...

  • @toyota4life94 so i'm an idiot cuzz terrorist dont buy fords huh .you talk about toyota paying american workers..yeah thats tru.,but what you did not mention is that most of toyota's american workforce is made up of part timer's and temp workers so that crap of giving jobs to americans doesnt hold to much water,,oh.and they get paid less then if you work for the big 3 ,,now aint that something huh ,,and all along you were trying to make toyota look good and ford bad.sorry ,,it didnt work

  • @toyota4life94 here is something i bet you dont know..yes ford is in mexico ..hell..ford is in alot of other country's..ford is global just like toyota..in fact ford has been in other country's long before toyota even went into business ..i know you tried to make a smart ass comment with that , but ford is in mexico since at least the 1970's ..and most of everything built in mexico ,,stays in mexico , so before you make yourself look bad ..do some research ..ok???

  • @toyota4life94 let me give you some advice before you make yourself look worse then what you do already,,ever hear of the internet?..if so go on google..you do know what google is dont you?..and do some research before you call anyone a idiot and make yourself look like one..i hate to tell you this but ford has been in south america for 60years or so by now..you act like they just went there in the last 2 years to get out of hiring americans ..

  • @toyota4life94 i never said ford didnt do anything wrong..of coarse they have,,but toyota is also in the same boat ..so killing ppl in a 10 or more year old ford is bad but killing ppl in a toyota and getting cought hiding and destroying safety documents is ok huh???...i can tell you are the kind of person that has decades of experience with working on cars....so how many cars have you worked on or have owned over the last 20 years ???..

  • @toyota4life94 ya know what makes me laff?..stupid ,gullible ,blind sheeple who druel on the ground that any toyota drives on ,,,ppl that will believe anything toyota tells you...and ppl eat it up and look for more from the big propaganda outfit called toyota ..yeah...nothing says reliable toyota more then having a a completely rotted out frame on a wonderful toyota built truck..nothing says safety more then weak ball joints and tie rod ends like the ones toyota use's and brakes

  • @toyota4life94 1% i dought that ..so toyota is # in the world..big deal..do you have any idea how they got there?..toyota is a scum bag company and treats ppl like shit in other country's..you only see the american side of toyota..everytime you see news footage of terrorists they are in a toyota..thats publicity the big 3 can do without...i'm glad toyota is here..i make part of my income off of toyota's..so go buy more..thats more for me to tow and job security for ppl to change frames

  • i love my toyota tundra and dodge ram ..ford is trash

  • Ironically most tundras are made in San Antonio Texas

  • I'm looking at both the SR5 and the limited. I've got a question though. Does the SR5 come with the 5.7 liter V8(381HP and 4.1 torque) as well? I've seen several SR5 models listed with the 5.7 v8 and they are like 10k less than the limited with the same engine. I don't see the sense in spending an extra $10,000 for leather seats.

  • @micah1116 yes it comes with the 5.7 V8 i have a crewmax 5.7 iforce i love it and i'm not sure all i can think of is the leather i guess the added touch screen nav and flip down dvd players aadd up we got ours for 36 thousand brand new with no financing. great truck.

  • to much body roll

  • gmc gm sucks with votec engine loser ass shitty shit junk junking engine

  • Ford makes a profit? hmm,...I guess I've been under a rock the past few years.

  • tundra built in america by americans,...75% of the parts are american,...compare that with all the american companies,...one of the companies outsources to mexico and another outsources to canada,... can't remember who but you can google it

  • that wood be the ford your talking about

the tundra is glued together by americans , but when that shinny new yota is sold..the profit goes over to japan ..not here..ford has many plants around the world , but no matter were there sold..the profit come's home to the US...toyota's world headquarters= japan...ford world headquarters..USA..

  • Dodges are made in mexico

  • the f-150 has a stiffer chassie and handels better

  • not bad 4 a truck

  • buy a ford dumb ass

  • Another asshole!!! Hmmmm......but being an asshole can sometimes be a big chunk of the entertainment value here on YouTube. Thanks a lot you moron!!!

  • Toyota=foreign

    Ford=american

Go figure....im going with Toyota for the win.

    Nuff said!!!

  • Why so we can lose more jobs

  • Don't get me wrong, i love american cars and trucks and all, but when it comes to reliability and value, the foreign cars got that in a bag. But it's too late cuz as you can see only the american car companies are going down the drain. Not one foreign car manufacture is going bankrupt. America needs to get it together if they want to survive against the foreign manufactures cuz the competition is fierce.

  • @Richboy219 No,

    Toyota = Foreign.

    Ford = Outsourced.

  • @taitai907 LOL

  • This is soo meaningless, unless you plan on racing your truck. . . .??. . . . . It's a truck, you test it on truck stuff, . . like ohh I don't know, . . towing, payload, off-road capabilities, . . .

  • A.K.A. Your minimum wage job is putting up surf control and you don't have a computer in the projects where you live.

  • That doesn't convince anybody of what the best car on the road is. Go ask 50 people in shitty camry's "Do you drive the best car on the road?" They'll say no. Ask people in their yaris's "Is your yaris better than every American car?" Only delusional ones will say yes. You're a dumbass, and I don't even need to prove that, it's common knowledge. Another piece of common knowledge is that Asia is the origin of the worst cars in the world.

  • No, it's a great car if you don't need the extra room. You must live under a rock if you don't see the news, magazines, and advertisements all advertising jap cars. They are not better cars, and you're never going to convince anyone that they are. Give up now. They are shitty, and everyone knows it, eve if they won't admit it.

  • I don't use my truck for that, and I'm not a redneck. I'm pretty far from a redneck, you stupid fuck. Just because a car sells better does NOT mean it is a better car. It could be because people don't know about cars, can't afford the better car, or they trust the media that tries to market car companies that pay them. My best friend is japanese, and their country's history is interesting, it's just ridiculous that people like their cars when they are pieces of shit.

  • No. More Americans haul things with them than they do in the rest of the world. They do stupid shit in them on other continents, things that don't get work done. Americans use them for hauling. You're really fucking stupid. You should live in Japan... Wait, they wouldn't accept you, because I'm sure you're not good at math or violin.

  • i dont think u know much man, In japan gas is so high, they do not use gas guzzling trucks. they have smallers cars up their just like europe. gas is 6 bucks in eaurope and small cars or motorcycle is the mode of transportaion. truck are only bought if needed do get jobs done, not for recreation like most americans buy it for.

  • I mean that the sales numbers in the USA are the only sales numbers that should be important in the pickup truck. Americans/Canadians are the ones that use them the way they were intended to be used, and it's the most competitive place on earth for trucks. There aren't many places in Europe/Asia/anywhere where they use their trucks like the North Americans do.

  • Yes, Ford makes the best selling pickups, and no country loves pickups like USA does- which is its downfall as well. Once US consumers aren't satisfied with Fix Or Repair Daily's sub-par quality products and gas mileage, guess where the go? This was bound to happen to any manufacturer which made pickups their bread and butter.

  • Ford is doing pretty well with those F150's right now, just a little FYI. Silverado's are also doing pretty well. Selling great pick up trucks was not the mistake in the US auto industry. It was one of the places where they've always been really solid.

  • thats so true even outside of canada and america contries in central america and south america love there mid size pick ups but i think we should invest more in our mid size trucks then our full sizes even tho i love my silverado lol but i do notice how most of us just have a truck just to show a manly side and not use them for hauling if you know what i mean

  • Same with the tundra, I believe. Americans and Canadians are the people in the world that know trucks.

  • nope, we are the only ones that "NEED" a fullsize truck with a inefficient massive v8 for our daily drivers. WE dont know trucks. WE just want he image. While other countries used diesels and downsize. Since we have the money, we do whatever the hell we want.

  • Exactly, the people that have money buy what they want, which happens to be big, American trucks. The trucks are built for work, and a ton of people use them for work, but people also love the luxury that you just can't find in jap cars or trucks.

  • u still dont get it do you. they buy what they want. And it happens to be big trucks, right. but do most of them use it for work. I dont think so. towing a boat or hauling a few supplies a week is not work. I can tow a boat fine with my suv. no need for a truck. american doesnt need fullsize trucks, we just want them.

  • A lot of it has to do with what part of the country you live in. There are places where they definitely need the trucks for work. Those are the people buying the 2500 or 3500's. I don't "need" my truck, I guess, but it's extremely convenient to have. I can move my boats, and move big things around, and take them down to the water at my beach house. It makes things a lot easier, even though I could do that with an SUV, it would just take much longer. That's not real work, but it's popular in USA.

  • did i say every people? no. Of course there are people that use their trucks for work. But the majority of truck buyers buy truck because they want one not need one. thats a fact. Also your asian comment is stupid. Of course at first all import manufactureres had bad cars. duh like huyndai. Look at them now. they are making amazing cars affordable. though, i still hate hyundai. CAddilac and lincoln still havve years till they can become what lexus is today.

  • Yeah, I guess I agree with you, except the last comment. Lincoln has a long way, but I know people that have left their lexus/mercedes/BMW for Cadillacs. Some of their cars are shit, but the CTS (-V) and escalade are keepers. I agree with everything else, though...

  • escalade is a joke. The cts is caddilacs only product that competes well wth the competition or in most cases kills the competition for example the cts-v just ruins the m5 for 30k less. I do like the cts. bothlincoln and gm have a long way and after gm comes out of bk they should have excellent products to compete with high end brands like lexus, bmw, and other germans, but right now they are still behind. One car isnt gonna do the brand any good. The dts sts and others need major updates.

  • I'll agree with that. I am a little biased, my family has always gotten escalades/tahoes/yukons, so I love them, and I'm completely comfortable in them. The DTS is an embarrassment. The GM products are starting to improve a lot, and some of them are getting to be exciting and definitely exciting, but some of them drag the whole name down.

  • iw ould have easily bought another 4runner but i couldnt afford one and i found the 5 speed manual pathfinder for a good price and bought that instead. Great suv.

  • BTW, I checked out your channel, and I just have to make it known that I have loved Nissan for a long time. I drove over Mt. Hood in a blizzard once in a pathfinder and it did me wonders. I also like their performance cars a lot. They're definitely the best in Asia, and I actually respect them a ton.

  • nissan is doing a great job with cutting cost and u rarely hear their troubles, all thx to their CEO a great leader. the 370z is an amazing budget sports car. the maxima is an amazing fwd sport sedan though i hate the fact that it doesnt have a proper manual. altima is a great midsizer. the titan though old has aged pretty well and still as capable as the competition, and their midsize trucks suv's are still beasting it up. I could care less for the other models. sentra versa...

  • Pretty much my thoughts exactly. They're a great company. I want my dad to get a Nissan dealership. He seems to have all of the japanese car companies that I hate, but not the one that I love. The other one I'm okay with is suzuki. The grand vitara and sx4 are nice cars for the small price tag.

  • im a toyota nissan fan. i dont like toyotas current cars because they are nothing but appliances but their suv's and trucks (4runner, tacoma, fj, etc...) are my favorite. i used to have a 99 4runner and that thing was super bulletproof way more reliable than anything we ever owned.went through many mud pits trails and fishing trips hauling a boat and never lost a breath until i rolled it in 07. my dad had a 93 4runner which we sold for the 99 and it had well over 312k when we sold it.

  • I had a FJ for a while which was okay, but it just wasn't good enough for doing some things at the beach house -- not the right size. My aunt seems to like the 4runner she bought from us. I just can't find the looks appealing to me, and now they are just what you said: appliances. That's my only experience with them. I just love the look and performance of the nissans way more than I do for yotas. And for some reason I'm still too patriotic to like anything more than a GM/Ford...

  • toyota is my favorite brand. But they have been disapointing lately. the company has simply gotten to big and gotten the gm syndrome, jumping on the suv/truck bandwagon. They are cutting cost. Just look at their quality lately. IT should be better. 07-09 camry quality is less than or equalt to my dads 04. Im glad they decided to replace 40% of their management though with younger more this generation type and maybe toyota will have fun cars again, like a toyota 2 door coupe debuting next october

  • tundra does not sell well. It is what u would consider a FLop if sales figure were factored in. Toyota jumped in the suv/truck bandwagon to late.

  • the tundra is only sold in america and only built by americans.

  • only in america and canda they are slowly exporting them to the latin american market but only sellin the 6 cylender one becuase v8s are kind of rear in those contries and most people drive around in mid size pick ups

  • Those are all really good points. The only thing about selling the mid-sized in America is the pricing. A colorado is almost as expensive as a base silverado. In central America, though, I'd imagine the availability and uses are different, but it's still great that most of the people in the continent have a chance to use great trucks -- for one reason or another.

  • yeah i noticed my dad works for toyota and i saw the tacoma for the high 20s and it was redicouls but what the japs did in central america is they kept the old body styles from the early 90s and they sell them brand new and they are new and its a fraction of the cost i tougt that was Neat but a v8 is always fun and a truck is the safest Vechiel to be in if you ever notice car Crashes but mybe people will start buying more Mid size and the prices whould go dramaticly down

  • That's a pretty genius idea with the 90's bodies. The v6's from toyota seem fun to do off-road playing in, from what I see in the Hilux vids. I think people are going to start buying them more for leisurely things, but the v8's can't be replaced for real work (or the safety).

  • i seen the hilux in central america befor i dont think we have them herein Texas "Truck Country" i know we have a dodge dakota rebaged as a Mitsu Radier besides that your right on those old 90s Tacos some how those engines were builet proof i dont trust that 4.0 they have now it seems to break down more then the older tacos

  • Yeah, here in western new york, we don't see any hilux's, and we barely see and tacos. The only Asian trucks we really see are the Tundra, and there are barely any of those where I live.

  • wow Tundras are all over the place down here i think most people got it for the speed bexuase most of them are all Tricked out down here what pick up truck do u drive around in?

  • Right now I'm in an avalanche. Not practical for work, but my dad owns a few dealerships, and it was the best one for the leisurely work I do ha. Most people around here go for Silverados, I think, and a lot of dodges, and obviously some fords. I think that the most common thing is people wanting to be sure in the snow up here.

  • Yeah, they sell sooooooo well compared to the F-150 and silverado. How could I be sooooo wrong?

  • I dont get why do they have to make that big car to accelerate that fast

  • I know, I just bash this truck all I can because it's a terrible truck. The look actually isn't the worst.

  • Toyota is good for small or mid size sedan but not Truck.

  • All trucks are good today. Tundra just lacks a few things. They though, did send teh big three back to the drawing boards.

  • Since when is a Full size truck all about racing and speed? People need to get it back together and realize its a utility vehicle. With that said, this thing has a pussy ass frame.

  • A lot of people buying 1/4 ton trucks don't care about how much it can haul... they care about how fast it is. That's the train of thought behind such street monsters as the Dodge Ram SRT and Ford Lightning, and the reason why so many 1/4 ton trucks have engines that put out more power and torque than what's really necessary.

That's also why if I get a truck that I want to use as a truck, I get a 1/2 ton model or better with a (again, insanely overpowered) diesel engine.

  • Maybe for asian eyes.

  • atleast this truck is faster than fords

  • i wouldn't call it a truck it only has a 4.5 or 5 foot box just cause it has a v8 doesn't mean its a truck i think real trucks sould be able to work without worrying what radio you have or what quality of woodgrain the steering wheel is

  • If only it could pull like them... If you want a faster car, don't get a pickup. They're not ideal for the track. This truck is shit.

  • This ute is a piece of shit.

  • The Redesigned F150, Motor Trends Truck of the Year

  • i choose the all new 09 RAM BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i rather SR10 or Lightning not this construction people trucks.

  • Toyota is getting advance and seriously improving day by day, for example the camrys performance is just more than amazing with small engines.

  • At the same time, the Camry I test drove enjoyed a couple of issues before I even started the car; cover of a side curtain airbag fell off, and even better was the fact that the door already rattled. The car only had 3.2 miles on it.

Thumbs up for that Toyota quality! My wife and I bought an 09 Chevy Malibu instead and couldn't be happier, as the car only got better in the first 10,000 miles.

As for this truck - not worth it's bloated price.

  • 6.9 second with that body?

    Amaaaaazing!

  • driving in hte sand seems like fun in that truck. i've allways loved these things.

  • The thing is a ponderous monster.

  • i want to see the silverado do this. it should beat the piss out of this , the ford, and the dodge

  • why the hell would you arte trucks by how fast they are, and how much g's they can pull. CAD dont know how to test stuff

  • This is not Car and Driver you fucking nitwit.

  • dumbfuck is this car and driver? learn how to read the letters in the latin alphabet.

  • not car and drives and yah people want trucks that are faster than a mini van the power helps when towing or hauling which is why you buy a truck in the first place right?

  • 6.9 thats amazing if you think thats good have a look at the chev with the 6.2... way better then all the trucks!!!

  • that is actually pretty good for a truck.

  • Jesus, you are one biased and ignorant fuckwad.

  • F150 owns this truck!

  • Fuck Ford they suck!!! Fuckin cheap ass american trucks and their poor ass resale value. Get the fuck outta here with that shit!!!

    Fags

    Only

    Ride

    Dick

    LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

  • yea! FUCK SINGLE OVER HEAD CAM!!!!!

  • Yep........LMAO!!!

  • Oops, no matter what you drive you'll always be 3 inches.

  • Comment removed

  • Bitch what the FUCK are you talking about?? I knew right from the start when i posted my comment that some little youtube fucker like u was gonna get his little feelings hurt and get offended because of what i said about ford. I fuckin knew it! Bitch, i didn't say anything about muscle cars, i was preferring to the trucks so while your pathetic ass is at home sittin behind your computer screen talking all that bullshit then you should know that i really don't give a shit about a cobra. Duces!!!

  • Oh for crying out loud!!!! STFU, You've made yourself a bitch.

  • Another asshole!!! But being an asshole can sometimes be a big chunk of the entertainment value here on YouTube. Thanks a lot you moron!!!

  • i really think u guys should come up with new tests for big trucks, Slalom and skid pad are not that important, but water crossings, slopes and other 4WD stuff will be more interesting.

  • 6.9? WTF thats amazing

  • Thanks for the feedback. We will keep the truck-related videos coming in addition to our other types of content.

  • Toyota Made thoes truck's in the us and gave them american name's !!! I don't think that toyota sell's them in JAPAN !!!

  • Parking in Japan is VERY hard the spaces are TINY thats why most people drive cars like the Nissan Cube.

  • 0-60 in 6.9 seconds, they make a supercharger for this truck too. then u will be doing 0-60 around the 5 sec range,

  • can you add a twin turbo charger to a supercharger ?

  • no :P

  • you probably could but not a good idea. either one or the other

  • yeah, might end up spoiling the engine witch would not be a good thing unless you have money to wast lol

  • yea maybe, if they remove some of the weight it might run between 5.9 - 6.2

  • It tooks Toyota 8 years to build the perfect truck.

While Ford, GM and Dodge are trying to reach this since a hunred years ago.

    Go Toyota, Go Toyota

Teach these Americans how to build a truck.

  • YEAH RIGHT!

  • Thats bullshit. Toyota copied EVERYTHING from American trucks. Even Motor Trend said that.

  • I own a tundra and I agree, they had to match everything the american trucks had, but they did a good job, not excellent though.

  • Tundras are only in USA because I didn't see one in Greece.

  • agreed..

  • Perfect truck? Toyota doesent even offer a Diesel or dually, and there towing abilities still cant even touch the American trucks. Toyota hasent done anything revolutionary with there "full-size" pickup except show that the japanese idea of full size is more like 1/2 size, lol. If you have work to do, or if you need to tow, the Toyota is the worst option as far as "full size" pickups go.

  • first of all, dually's are retarted and pointless. As for diesel, only a selct few american trucks run on it. The rest(most) run on regular fuel. SO STFU DIP SHIT

  • toyoya blows

  • People will copy and paste after you proofread.

  • thats a fucking fast truck! but whats funny is that you can hear the burnout, but no wheels are spinning? anyone else notice that?

  • 1englandnigga, it is just slipping a little. Prefect launch.

  • 0:09 there is all of that body shake from that crap frame, trapezoidal, wth. Why would they do that? I like the f 150 better still and its going to have alot more power next year, 2011 f150 and mustang gt will have a new 5.0l v8 4valve with ~400hp and ~400 lb-ft of torque. Gunna woop this thing all day.

  • not trying to say tundra better than f150 but if ford increase power in f150 wouldnt toyota increase power in the tundra.. Either way that tundra always gonna have more power.

  • I doubt it, when one sedan got more power, every other sedan didn't get more power. And if the 2010 f150 comes out with the engine i said, it would have more power than the tundra's engine. I am very excited for the new f150. The engine sounds like a real beast. 400hp from 5.0l, imagine if it was supercharged.

  • u want the link of the f150 owning this truck

  • the f-150 didn't do that much better

  • fuck u toyota beats breaking -down -alot f 150

  • Why did you reply to my comment with that? I have seen the videos with mike rowe. I believe that the f150 is better but everyone has their own opinion. And the f150's top engine is pretty under powered but they are coming out with a new engine line up for the 2010 models, the will have a new 5.0l 4valve 400 hp 400 lb-ft of torque engine, and then the 3.5l ecoboost v6 with like 365 hp. With the new engines the f150 should beat this and every other truck in the 0-60 and what not.

  • Depends wich model

  • What? What depends on which model for which truck?

  • That's a pretty fast truck, good job Toyota.

  • toyota power baby

  • loool

  • wana be truck tundra sucks

  • Toyota is great when it comes to trucks.

  • This is a fast truck!

  • This truck is starting to look stale.

  • Listening to this thing screech it's tires made my ears hurt. It just wasn't made to do this, obviously... and personally I don't like this truck at all. Whatever it was made to do (be a "Trucker's Truck") it doesn't do it very well. The "Truckers" I know like American trucks.... mostly the F-series Fords

  • my uncle just got this truck.

i got to drive it, and for some reason, his has a LOT more wheelspin and acceleration.

  • That rear tire looked like it was almost of the ground! lol

  • i agree 100% with ADD8oi

  • Almost my exact truck. Sweet but I agree with the person below me, these vids are pretty boring.

  • i'm tired of these track videos, there're boring and pointless

  • Some people want to know the performance, no frilly reviews.

  • i love them

  • personal opinion I hate this truck

  • Japanese company + SUV/Trucks = FAIL

  • I'd argue that the Toyota Hilux is one of the most iconic, capable and reliable 4x4s ever made...especially in diesel form. Too bad Toyota hasn't brought it here.

  • These new ones are not what they used to be. Nowhere near as tough.

  • Toyota quality has definitely dropped from where it used to be. Still, I have, and always will prefer Ford first.

  • Yeah...I've only ever driven one, but it was the most brilliant truck I've ever encountered. I was volunteering at an orphanage in Bolivia. I think it was an 85 to 87 vintage, it had 277 kilometers on it, had been abused everyday of its existence and it just kept running and running and running...

I can't speak for the new ones, because we don't get them in the States.

  • Comment removed

  • ehh, idk, id leave it to the specialists to make a big heavy car with a lot of power, i like US trucks and SUVs, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion, although i have to hand it to the japs with speedy small cars
