  • Thats awesome, reminds me of when i rode with a old guy in a no old Champ it was calling 35 or so for wind down the grass strip, that little 65 horse we started about half way down the runway and got off in about 10 feet then he floated it backwards to the end of the runway added power and we started moving forward again and landed on the numbers. A take off and landing with no downwind or anything! Not i would try but cool and remained below 10 feet the whole time. some just know the plane. :)

  • This is VERY cool! yippitydoodah comes across like a little snot-nosed punk that sits on an overpass and throws objects at cars on the highway below...and thinks that's funny and really believes there's nothing wrong with it. easy to do when the victim never sees your face. easy but gutless. get a life you yipping hoo hah and leave the rest of us alone!

  • Landing distance as short as the dislike bar!

  • watta short landing O_o

  • holy shiat...i guess a low weight bugatty veyron engine in it :D insane, insane coool :)

  • depends into what knots of wind it was landing into. That aircraft had a flaps down landing speed of about forty knots, and take off speed, so NO FUCKING BIG DEAL people, get over it..

  • Who need a runway ?

  • Isn't that guy taking part in the STOL competion in Alaska?I think I've seen his plane

  • This no joke. I watched a Cub HOVER! He was in a strong head wind, and he just floated about 10 feet from the ground. His airspeed was probably 35 KIAS, but his ground speed was 0. He held it there for a minute or two. Wish I had a camera.

  • I maybe wrong but is that a Zlin Savage Cub

  • Nice.

  • Hell of a headwind.

  • @spikesonthebrain in fact the cub is so light and has so big winds that it could do almost the same thing with no wind

  • .....who needs helicopters?

  • I wonder how hard was the wind...

  • nice!

  • Of course the stonking headwind makes it easier to fly with a lower groundspeed but this is still a great piece of flying. The "runway" is very tricky and the windspeed also has the potential downside of a very nasty wind gradient. This guy can fly!

  • That is ridiculous. When I first watched this video, I thought it was fake because the approach looked like a toy plane on how it was flying, but I was wrong. Nice flying!

  • Needs as much place to land as a helicopter :-)

  • kick ass, but watch out mate, put more tags in the tag field, cuz others might copy your vid and get more views

  • @upublic Hes already filed a copyright claims for a couple that I know of, and both those have been taken down.

  • haha! ya Mrsneakynicky i bet you could do what this guy is doing right now!!! you sound so amazing!! let me ask a question, how many hours do you have and in what airplane!?!

  • mrsneakynicky im sure you do this at least 3 times a day right?

  • the huey cub.

  • That's INCREDIBLE!! I wish my Cessna would do that...

  • now thats some stall landing for sure

  • a wise man said:IT 'S TOUGHER IN ALASKA!

  • holy windmills batman!

  • Amazing!

  • Incredible!!!!

  • Perfecto ! No coments!!

  • Great video. I trust the wind was steady and not too gusty. I could get similar landing rolls out of my Zenair, but I don't usually fly in winds exceeding 10 knots.

  • lol, you can bearly call that a landing roll!

  • that's vertical takeoff!

  • Can you please make the flare a bit shorter?

    Just kidding. GREAT JOB !!!!

Land on my balcony next time.

  • WOW, what do you need ? just 75 ft of runway ?

  • I did that once with my RC piper, but I had to climb the hill to get it back !

  • I want one of that...

  • whatever... i could have landed at least six inches shorter than that

  • holy shit that's badass!

  • flying is like driving a car :)

  • Amazing! Funny tires that plane has too. :)

  • Good landing...but you must have had one heck of a head wind

  • did u takeoff with no flaps?? thats what it looked like! amazing either way

  • incredibbile!

  • That is crazy!

    Great Video!

  • simply amazing.

when i win the lottery, guess what im buying before my big house & big car?

  • i've got to have one of these

  • I think he has a 30 knot headwind.

Look at the take off distance.

  • I've watched several of this guy's videos. I see it, but I don't believe it. Incredible! But I want to know: is he the best pilot ever? Or the luckiest pilot ever? Or both, perhaps?

  • he's not the best or luckiest. he's a good pilot, but many bush pilots can do this. it takes a lot of skill and practice, and you need a STOL aircraft that can handle it. these aircraft are great but the downside is they are pretty slow in cruise flight, around 90mph or so.

  • parabens muinto bom piloto

  • That much fun has got to be illegal!!!

  • Thats what im talkin bout! thats why i prefer bush planes..

  • That´s a good pilot!

  • Actually a Raven did applaud him =)

  • That's pretty amazing. I assume that Cub has it's share of mods

  • Now THATS real flying! Wow!

  • Thats just wrong...lol

  • That was amazing, just amazing. I think even a raven would have nodded in approval at that landing!!
