  • It's not necessarily the brand of the machine that matter, but also the person using it and how it's tuned.

  • as you can see ill approve comments that actually offer good tips from others even if they're trying to show me up..LOL.. so ..BY ALL MEANS IF YOU GOT A FEW GOOD TIPS TO OFFER FOR OTHER ARTIST PLEASE POST A FEW..ID RATHER HAVE AN EDUCATED NEW ARTIST THEN CLIENTS WALKING AROUND WITH SCARS,INFECTIONS

  • What should I use to hold my stencil? I couldnt catch it! -__- I'm tired of speed stick!

  • I couldnt hear what u said I should use. To hold my stencil -__- I'm tired of speed stick!

  • just as a comment to emnrut the frame matters ... machines made of differant thicknesses and differant materials make them run differant and it also matters how the measurments of the machines were made ... If you buy a shitty cam $12 tattoo machine and change the springs and coils your fucking insane if you think that is goign to run as smooth and as good as a 4-500 tattoo machine there is a reason they cost that much ...

  • @domfu21 ..i agree.. its better to get you a good machine and make that investment in yourself

  • @Littlechicotattoo dude shut the fuck up! yeah these kids should try on their own skin first but not all do, and when they don't like it and want to have it fixed or even covered up and come to you to fix it. before a thought of what could I do to it hits your Mind you go and rape their wallet or purse before you even do the cover up, so stop crying ya damn little girl. And what ever shop you are working out of your prices are nuts, you must be in the fancy people area who can afford that shit

  • I'm going to save you all a big headache and tell you the sure fire best way to become a tattoo artist. Draw..... Draw so much that it consumes every free moment you have and then draw some more. After that put some of your best work together in a portfolio and find yourself an apprenticeship at a decent shop. In all honesty an apprenticeship at a good shop is the only way to learn how to tattoo and will save you years of trial and error you will experience otherwise.

  • Thanks, your vida are a great help :)

  • Why Does My Machine Sometime Stick The Needle Out Further Than I Want it And Sometimes It Does, Im Guessing Because Of The Voltage Im Using In My Power Supply?

  • What if you use speedstick for the stencil, but you wipe it down both before AND after w/ an alcohol pad to sterilize properly? What I do is take the speed stick, wipe it down with an alcohol pad, then clean it off with a paper towl. Apply the stencil, then wipe it down one more time to kill anything left on it until later use. then I wipe it down again right before my next stencil.

I'd really like to know if this is helpful in keeping your tools clean, or if Im taking extra steps for nothing?

  • what kind of green soap do u have or is it just kalled green soap

  • yea and people still use paperclips to get tatted..lol..((Come on man)).. come out of the stone ages...its time to upgrade...if i was gettin tatted by you and you pulled out some old speedstick id prolly slap you with it 1st before i left your shop...

  • Ur Tips Are Helping Me Alot, Definately Subscribing :)

  • speed stick is fine as long as you use a papper towel to put it on the skin. duh

  • ky jelly in the tube is clean and sticky when placing stencils, and distilled water work great on work in progress wipe downs.

  • as a tattoo artist you are gonna constantly be tunning your machine..theres too many variables from hot coils, power supply ,density of the skin your tatting to how tight your rubber bands are

  • how can i increase the duty on my tattoo machine without changing the springs?

  • Thanks for taking time to share 8)

  • Okay I have a few question first what's the names of the product he uses in this video he was goin a lil fast and I couldn't understand him fully I heard yu don't put green soap while tattoo I'm confused can somebody clear it up for me thanks

  • Can You Put Up A Video On How To Tune Up A Power Supply..?

  • Thanks for the videos man, I appreciate it.

  • they have medi-cide wipes also. clorox wipes r ok, but idk if i'd trust them too kill everything...i blast my machines with straight medi-cide

  • man i have to agree with suthernink. i work at a shop as an apprentice.. we are the best around and the cleanest around my town.and there is 6 in my town. We use green soap to apply stencils. Works perfectly. And we use dettol. And no one ends up with infections.. only great tattoos man. its preference. Just because this dood doesnt use what you use dont hate. participate!! ha!

  • yeahh i wanted to know what waz that brown stuff that u said numbs stuff the skin and holds the stencil...

    ddubify

  • NO YOUR A BIT SLOW "TATTOOTRAIN" DIPPIN YOUR TUBE INTO WATER STILL LEAVES DIRTY WATER IN YOUR TUBE ,POINT IM MAKING IS DONT BLOW SPIT INTO YOUR TUBE TO CLEAR IT,INSTEAD USE THE AIR CAN POINTING YOUR NOZZLE INTO YOUR WASTE CONTAINER NOT UP IN THE AIR (WHO DOES THAT).LOL AND DETTOL'S CLEANING PROPERTIES IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT TO KILL GERMS ON THE SKIN,FLOORS OR WHATEVER STENCIL STUFF DOESNT KILL GERMS,ID RATHER HAVE SOMETHING THATS KILLING GERMS AND HOLDING MY STENCIL..AND GREENSOAP..

  • @SuthernInkCustomTatt AND GREENSOAP..YOU CAN APPLY TO YOUR PAPERTOWEL WHILE YOUR TATTIN TO MOVE THE INK..I WOULDNT USE GREENSOAP TO CLEAN THE SHOP WITH GET YOU SOME TATTOOCIDE OR MEDICIDE TO STERILIZE YOUR WORK AREA...I HAVE 13 ARTIST THAT WORK FOR ME AND WE ALL USE BASICALLY THE SAME GAME PLAN

  • uh you are crazy ,#1 why would you spray air into a dirty tube and get shit all over? , use a water cup and or a ultrasonic #2 green soap is shit it is irritating and ruins stencils . #3 you dont put stick or any stencil applicator without a applicator stick , dettol is for cleaning floors and weak compared to stencil stuff

  • what kind of paper that using in tattoo? and the pen? what kind of pen is that? help pls?

  • @silentangel200 to make stencils?

  • Love the tips. Can u write the names of the things mentioned it would really help. Thanks.

  • TATTOO-CIDE OR MEDI-WIPES..YOU CANT REALLY SUBMERGE YOUR COILS SO EVERY NOW AND THEN BREAKDOWN YA MACHINE AND STERILIZE IT FULLY

  • Hey man after bagging your machine and using disposable tubes and needles how well should you clean your machine? and with what preferably?

  • clean the skin with alcohol..shave with greensoap...apply detol or stecil stuff for your stencil..apply light petroleum jelly to skin so your needle glides thru the skin a lil easier and you stencil doesnt rub off as easy..

  • @SuthernInkCustomTatt . concerning alcohol is that it is known as a 'promoter'. In biomedical parlance, this means alcohol works synergistically with mutagens, teratogens, and carcinogens to make them more likely to cause harm than they would by themselves. If any hazardous substances are present in the ink, alcohol helps them into the body and then increases the chance that they may cause mutation or disease, not just at the site of the tattoo, but throughout the body.

  • thank you for posting this.

most artist start from home. and do shit tattoos. but ultimately, thats how so many start. if you cant afford an apprenticeship, at least keep things clean. this is good advice. remember to bag all your bottles too.

    peace

  • did you say you mix the green soap with water?

  • question #1) Is there a difference in tattooing white people compared to tattooing black people... question #2) is that racists for me to ask? haah

  • these tips are for the beginning artist with limited access to tattoo supplies.. a lot of supply co. wont sell to artist without a lic..but for the safety of clients who we all know are gonna go to the guy down the street for cheap tatts or its someone they know (YOU)..i humbly offer these basic tips.. but by all means if you can get items like tattocide, medicide, detol, greensoap, do..keep your clients safe from infection is the best TIP of all...
