Hi! I'm the guitar player in this video. If you like this, check me out playing Zeppelin with Melissa Burnos at the Hard Rock in the video she just posted on this page!
Also, check out my guitar playing on Melissa's hit single, NME on iTunes!
Just type Melissa Burnos in the iTunes store to find it. Thanks!!
That was killin guys... I love the tempo changes and right back into the funk... Two thumbs up to the guitar player (was that Jesse Johnson?). Drummer, bass and keys all solid... Nice job!
Man this sounds so good. Usually I'm not a big fan of funk but this right here is what I would listen to. I love that high opening guitar riff. Sounds great. Keep at it!
Suoer awesome! Love the vocoder use, the heavy drummming alogn with the bass and the retro key stabs... I guess I love everything...H E A V Y Funk fo shure! Props from Germany!
It's difficult to find a guitarist using this device better than you... I know it because I own one too. Congratulations man! The whole band is playing great here!
eey dave nice song bro, keep doing it just like that with that funky sound, eey dave what happen with the other more bounce video you used to have? that was really nice to. did u erase it? ... i like your style, all u guys r awesome, atte zuper zonik iam a talkboxer to. invite me to play my talkbox w/u guys one day ...
Damn straight, transcribing that Roger solo note for note is an impressing feat in itself, let alone playing it on guitar ! Plus the band grooves and the solo is real cool, I loved the Ohio Players "Fire" lick thrown in towards the end !!
I like this video. Great guitar playing and talkbox sound. I really like that it's a real video of a live band. You should check out the youtube video of Acid Fusion Trio playing Spirits in the Material World... the guitar player has some crazy talkbox guitar that is similar to this.
I'm very familiar with the original, but to adapt it to the guitar, he didn't do terrible. I was kinda' kidding anyhow, who's gonna' hit the Troutmann note for note?
than the Whispers show I'd just seen in the East Bay. Karmiol lacks presence but WTF, he can play his natural ass off. Going to bump this onto my I-pod, smoke some weed & listen. Learn a thing or two. Song started out with 3rd Degree's "Take Your Time," then went on to "Bounce." Weird but cool. I liked the drums, keyboard, and bass. Was this a college campus w. everyone glancing at their watches, walking by, with their books? Sounded like he busted a Players ("Fire?) or Commodores riff nr end.
Not bad! A sense of continuity wd help. Decent chops & phrasing. No one can touch The Master, Roger Troutman -- especially his incredibly long, sustained vocoder vibratos, ringing out in the night; his eclectic guitar riffing styles -- a la Prince, a la Wes, a la Hendrix, a la Roger! and his sheer presence. Saw him at the I-Beam in SF, a small intimate club, and they carried him out on their backs, while he played his axe. In the end I think they all stripped to their undies. A little wilder
Blastercombo --> I'd like to say... Well the song is a bit boring... So the some kind of "remix" was boring too... Listen to the original and you'll see ~_^
Not a Roger and Zapp groove, I mean have you even seen a video of them live. This particular song is a 4 min groove, with 4 mins of Roger soloing. So to answer your question, it doesn't include solos aside from the talkbox. It's okay to just enjoy music, without analyzing every detail :)
Tight band...good sound... but you would sound great if you use the real talkbox and not that digitech talker... peace! Nothing like using the real thing compared to that talker.
See You Tube user "MSFIRECRACKER" for additional LARRY DOGG/ DAVE KARMIOL/ MARCUS FRANCE/ SHAKA PACE videos. PLUS A LIVE CAM REWIND OF "LOVE JONES 2002!!!" You can type "MSFIRECRACKER" in the search to find these videos.
