@oCAWo because they are a dance team, Our high school has a dance team that dances when we march at half time. Those girls that are dancing and in costume are dancers NOT cheerleaders. and besides everyone knows all cheerleaders are not as good as the dance team, that's where it is everywhere, dance team girls are before cheerleaders, its just school hierarchic, BUT NO-ONE TOPS MARCHING BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ernie180401 Marching band usually entails that you are going to college, meaning that you have other responsibilities to worry about. When you sign up for drum corp, that is your life for the next however many months. You eat, sleep, and shit and your program day in and day out.

As dedicated as a marching band may be, it would be nearly impossible to be at the same caliber as a drum corp.
