No, it's not.His original Frankenstrat has a star on the headstock. EVH changed the neck on the guitar every time he went from sponsor to sponsor, and each time he put a star so he would know it's the real one. All that changed was the neck, not the whole guitar. And this red/white/black model is the white/black model which he started with.

Hi, It is the Kramer Reissue 1984, stock pickup. Just added a D Tuna to it and painted it. It's just the guitar run directly into the 5150 half stack. The guitar and amp combination is hard to beat.

Yes when I recorded this I was using a 5150 head and 4x12 cab....I have since changed to a JSX head and Marshall 2x12 cab

That was an origianl 5150....I love the JSX. I do use it for more VH tones. I think you can dial it in for an awesome original classic VH tone. EL34 tubes are the key

They're both great amps. The JSX is so much more versatile. You can use EL 34s OR 6L6s..I don't like Satch either, but the amp is awesome. The effects loop is sooo much better too. The 5150 really doesn't take pedals well. The JSX has an adjustable loop! And it has a master volume so you can crank each channel to saturate the tubes and control the overall volume so you don't blow your ears out. You can't lose with either, but to me if you want more control and that classic VH tone, get the JSX

The 1984 reissue is an awesome guitar. Great feel. Parts on it are top of the line, all Schaller. The pickup in it actually is a great sounding pickup. Based off of Ed's original Gibson PAF. Perfect original floyd rose too.

i thought his amp was professionally done by bob bradshaw, now working for custom audio electronics.. there was one point where he couldnt use his marshall because it needed a re-vamp, so he used soldano SLO's as a substitute. also, his marshall isnt modified at all as claimed by jose arredondo, edd did it to market his business because he felt bad for him. i have links prooving this if people want them.
