F.Y.I. - A male wrote this song. R&B artist Neyo to be specific and he wrote it for himself with the intention of it being a country style ballad. It was later decided that it was better suited for a female artist and then was sold to Beyonce who turned it into a smash hit. Anyway, that's why it sounds so good being done by Sugarland. It was meant for their genre of music originally. I personally like Sugarland's version better and I don't even like country music, hahaha.

This is so sick, I loved it. I'm a black guy form England who appreciates good music, like Beyonce clearly does. Beyonce is a great singer and understands that to be a musician, you have to embrace or at least understand all forms of music. Sugarland are clearly talented, just check some of there other acoustic performances. They also write most of their music

I am a singer, I have done commercials, voice overs, and made it to the quarterfinals of a televised show. I CAN hear, and I CAN see, what you are referring o is vibrato, and yet is has nothing to do with the lag time of Beyonce's voice to the music. I love Sugarland and I by far prefer Rihanna over Beyonce ANY DAY but i do have to agree that Jennifer definatly out sung Rihanna in that show True the song is a better fit for "country" then this song is but out of the two performances this one was definatly the better one.
