  • When i was young (about 16 years ago).. me and one of my friends were laying outside at night looking at the stars... I am not lying when i say that we saw about 20 what we saw as shooting stars.. but it did so I thought, that it was normal.. and couldn't understand why I never saw any shooting stars again :)

  • @BKerryFTW Wouldn't be surprised ^_^

  • one of my favorite meteor shower experiences was on the last night of camp, i think mother nature was like "last night of camp....here you go guys," it was a clear night without a cloud, and a meteor shower, the older bunks all grabbed our sleeping bags and went up to the basketball courts, this was in the Pennsylvania poconos so there were a lot more stars.... it was also my last year at that camp

    best camp experience ever

  • very nice

  • I saw a meteor in Gosfield, Essex, England during the early hours of Sunday morning.

  • Every single time a star went by, I wished.... Well, that parts a secret :3

  • This video is no way a fake, i have seen a lot of meteorites and this is what they look like. People in north USA will see some on the 22nd Oct 2010, Just google it or send me a email and I get more details for you. Or go to my site Spacenews.co

  • thats awesome

  • Make a wish

  • @IndiumBlue This is not fake. All you need is a night vision camera, a relatively dark sky and a decent wide angle lens to produce a video like this.

  • Comment removed

  • @IndiumBlue I have spent a lot of time watching the sky and imaging celestial objects. It is not hard to see that this footage was taken from a dark sky location on earth. The two bright objects you are referring to, one looks like m31 (the Andromeda galaxy) and the other looks like either a planet or a bright star. Maybe you are not aware that many planets in our solar system are visible with the naked eye? Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter are all visible with the naked eye.

  • Comment removed

  • @IndiumBlue If you are talking about the object on the right side of the field of view between 0:01 - 0:03 that looks a lot like M31 Andromeda. If you're talking about the brighter stars there they could possibly be either bright stars or Juptier/Saturn. I really don't think this is fake.

  • Comment removed

  • @IndiumBlue I still don't see what you're talking about. If you are referring to the circular field of view that is just a result of lens used to take these video images. There is also a small dark patch near the center of the field of view but that is obviously just some vignetting or some dust on the lens. You understand that the Persied Meteor Shower is visible with the naked eye and in dark skies it looks like this right?? Once again.. not a fake.. sorry you're wrong

  • @IndiumBlue the huge circle??? wat do u mean,?,thats the lens!,,, dont u realize that?

  • @TheMACshizzle Damn! I had no clue. I mean all videos are square on here so WTF? There is space outside the circle which is gray and not black like the video border so there you go. My bad. I thought it was a planet. And apparently I'm not the only one 156 dislikes means lots thought it was fake but didn't bother to tell you. :)

  • @IndiumBlue lol okayyyyyyyy

  • 155 People Think That The Meteors Were Gonna Kill Them.

  • cool. wish i saw it :(

  • I saw a meteor shower a week ago, though we only saw one!

    Yours was amazing!!!! :D

  • Those 155 people are small of mind.

  • @MalanguitoOfficial

    Now it's 156 of them!!!

  • @MalanguitoOfficial yeah!, a very short mind!

  • what are perseids?

  • @khidhal The Persied Meteor Shower is named that because most of the meteors that happen during this time (in August) appear to originate from the area of the sky where the constellation Perseus is located. Each meteor you see is actually a small piece of debris burning up in our atmosphere that has fallen off of a passing comet. Every August, Earth passes through this field of debris and we get a show. But yea Persied is named after Perseus.

  • shooting stars!!!! i saw my first shooting star 2 days AGO!!!!! it was AWESOME!!!!! :)

  • I think things like this are soo beautiful.. It amazes me when people dislike such beauty. This one of the many works of Mother Nature, that we all should love and appreciate. We have to think outside of the box and open up once in a while. =/

  • I saw an amazing one last night, just one, flew across the sky and exploded in a blue ball. I wasn't even looking for a meteor, just sitting on my patio. So cool!

  • I never take a sequency photo or a video like this .. ever staied in my memories .. just looking ..

  • Exellent!!

  • I have seen some very nice meteors so far, mostly blue-green and one rather brighter meteor made a hissing sound.

  • Hey did anybody see a big meteor that lasted about 2 seconds with a long tail and a blue head? I was like NO effin way! xD It was beyond beautiful.

  • How long did you film before you captured that many? I was out for 2 hrs (left at like 12:30 (yeah, I know I left at the prime) and only saw maybe 10-15, 2 of them being bright and lasting about 2 seconds... (and three of them not being from Perseids). Very cool vid

  • tonight and tomorow night the persied again, seen 4 so far from my window,

  • its raining over here so i guess there's no meteors

  • I must have seen well over 20 tonight from 10:30pm - 1am.

I saw maybe 4 UFO's; I don't know if they were satalites or not. Also, at approx 12:30 I saw a massive flash, like a meteor came directly downwards. After it burnt out I seen a spec of light trail away. Spectacular!

  • I saw 3 yesterday, within 25 minutes. I've seen 4 at the moment within 15 minutes :D It's past 2:00 am here though...

  • Is this a time lapse?

  • i saw about 10 maybe more... pretty cool! also spotted 2 satelite's. i love that feeling of insignificance you get sometimes whilst stargazing... when you start wondering how did it all come about and stuff. i bet there's life somewhere out there! =)

  • Why does it disappear just like that?

  • i've seen 9 so far. i came in to make coffee, might go back out at 12

  • I'm looking at the perseid meteor showed LIVE up in the sky RIGHT NOW :D Its amazing, I've seen 5 now :D

  • I watched it, it was amazing but I was alone it was kinda scary to be in 2 a.m. all by myself and I thought I heard something in the bushes.

  • @slogirl666 Awww, I watched it alone too and it was pretty beautiful. However the street lamps were a bit of a nuisance.

  • Too funny, same thing here and if i wasn't hearing something i was feeling something crawling on me.

  • what was it when you saw them :D Amazing Video 1 more subscribe

  • The 2010 Perseid meteor shower is supposed to be at sundown!! Exciteeeed! :)

  • I was out there for an hour and nothing :(

  • Right now there is some meteor shower on 10:00 pm right now is 9:35 cant wait

  • I saw 31 meteors tonight! It was my first time and all! Man... the cosmos is awesome. :)

  • I saw a bright meteor 2 days ago. To me it looked like a firework/flare going across the sky. It lasted a good 5 to 6 seconds. I live in a city area and its hard to see the stars so it had to be very bright.

  • i believe this is real, but why do the meteors jus disappaer suddenly, is that becuase they are hitting unseen planets?

  • @mnbvcxzz5 Do you actually know what a meteor is?

  • @mnbvcxzz5 they burn up

  • @mnbvcxzz5 hi a meteor is a tiny spec of dust about the size of a grain of sand that it left behind from a tail of a comet. When the earths orbit around the sun takes us into the trail from a comet we get meteor showers. We see the tiny specs of dust burning up in the earyhs atmosphere. They disappear because they have completely burnt up.

  • Wow, I saw one shooting star a couple of years ago and I thought it was the coolest thing ever, but you saw 7!!! I am jealous.

  • this is so awesome

im a big fan of space and that science stuff and this vid is amazing.

  • @GoHabsGo0708 Perseids is coming again here next month! I'm going camping in the desert for sure

  • can someone give me a list of date and time for the meteor showers that will be visible in europe in 2010?

  • @extreme989 Meteor showers appear every year, but at specific dates: Shower When Visible Quadrantids Jan 01 - Jan 05 Lyrids Apr 16 - Apr 25 Eta Aquarids Apr 19 - May 28 South Delta Jul 12 - Aug 19 Aquarids Perseids Jul 17 - Aug 24 Orionids Oct 02 - Nov 25 Leonids Nov 10 - Nov 23 Puppid/Velids Dec 01 - Dec 15 Geminids Dec 07 - Dec 17 Ursids Dec 17 - Dec 26 Hope this helped :D

  • whoa its new year??! what the hell i didnt know that

  • This is on my birthday. :)

  • I Was scared that something was going to pop out like the exorsist

  • its inspiring

  • That is flippen fantastic. I hate it when people say this is crap. Cause their small minds don't realise that Earth is just a tiny spec in amongst all this stuff.

  • @ADMediaEmpire

actually the earth is huge compared with these meteors.. each of those meteors was about the same size as a grain of sand.

  • Me and my brothers used to stay up and watch them (perseids). Usually in about 4 hours we would see around 60-70. This was back in the 90s, dam seemed like just yesterday. The Leonid shower in '01 was a beast. Kind of spoiled me LOL. No way to count those, multiple ones in the sky at once.

    Thanks for the vid!

  • I remember the 01 Leonids!!! They were awesome, I've got tons of pictures somewhere of that!

Yea, great viewing from Clearlake Ca. Clear skys every nite most the year round. Great camera to have Jill....well done........:-))

  • We watched these last week. High on a mountain, clear sky, no moon, zero wind. They were beautiful, never seen so many. About 1-2 per minute, some with long yellow tails. They were fast, but beautiful. Made for a memorable evening.

  • nah i didnt see them the other night. i hav only eva seen 1 meteorite in my life. i was on holiday and i went on a trip to Mount Teide and saw 1 shoot across the sky.
