@nemoboy108 honestly, we don't have much of a heritage to live up to. we used to kill people to be king and then abuse our people, now we use dodgy deals to take advantage of less developed countries, but at least we have charities to make up for some tiny part of it. if anything, we get better while the planet gets worse. i think the best way to put it is with the lyrics of We're Only Gonna Die by BR ;)

Agreed, except: Within the context of history, you'd be right (about heritage), but history only covers civilization. This culture teaches us to disregard human prehistory, which just happens to encompass the vast majority of human evolution. Civilization has been but a cat nap, and industrial civilization but a blink, yet we are thoroughly convinced that it must be this way, that we must save this ship at all costs, and that hierarchy and abuse are inevitable. Wrong.
