The crash scene was the actual footage of the crash. They added this footage to the movie mentioned by airodyssey.
All I can say is that they need to see that movie to understand how the crew performed. This is an accedent and how they portrayed it is not a good one. Shows disrespect to those that actually went threw the crash. Also the Hydraulics failed immediately and there was no break between the fan disc breaking to the loss of control.
im sorry the asians might have soem of the best technology in the world but they have to be the stupidest people on common knowledge , not all but a hell of a fucking lot
It's obviously a DC-10 cause thats what it says when the 2nd officer pulled out the manual it said DC-10. Did you see the whole thing SpantaxDC-10???????????????????

@Spantax DC10 Flight 232 was a DC-10. MD-11 flights did not begin until 1990. Probably because of the problems with the DC-10, United never operated MD-11s. The hydraulics down points were not the DC-10s only issue. It also had a lot of problems with cargo doors, most notably a flight in France. And if engines were mounted a certain way, they would cause cracks in the engine pylon and sever in flight. Most notabley American Airlines Flight 191 that crashed on takeoff at Chicago's O'hare.
Great video, but I just have to laugh at how they over-exxagerated the fear in the passengers and crew. When an engine failed, they didn't think much of it since the crew could fly with 2 engines. And the passengers didn't really panic. They just simply felt a jolt.
I can see that some of the crash scenes were taken from the TV movie "A Thousand Heroes" ("Crash Landing: The Rescue of Flight 232") based on the accident.

I think this is not a good representation.

United Flight 232 fail to control because Engine fan number 2 blow up and some of piece crash elevator and cut hydraulic system.
Aircraft lost aileron , elevator , flaps , rudder and spoiler. only can control aircraft is Throttle.
and some of passenger survive thank Dennis E. Fitch, an off-duty UAL DC-10 flight instructor.

@d0rkiishchris I meant that they showed an MD-11 at minute 8:40 instead of a DC-10.

I also like how they said oil temp instead of hydraullic pressure. Lol, this cracks me up.
