The cheaper Gretsch guitars are made in Korea and they feel look and sound almost as nice as the U.S. made ones at about one-third the cost. The dreamy/twangy Gretsch sound is very much part of the beginning of American style 50's rock and roll (and blues/jazz/country) as well ala Chet Atkins. It's an easy guitar to play and pound for pound I don't think you can get a more fun guitar. You need one man!
