  • I don't think Galileo was in a position to be "spooked" by radio waves, since the equipment to hear them wasn't invented for several hundred years!

  • Great vid Steve!

  • that is some scary shit

  • today i went to that JPL place in and it was pretty cool

  • at 1:10 it almost got funky

  • @kilogreim AAAAHAAAAHAHA!:)

  • I REALLY would like to follow the voyager....this would be freaking but pretty interesting

  • Comment removed

  • "Is this only dust that we see?"...no, its also shading the outlines of a slightly brighter spot on mars. THERE ARE NO HUMANS THERE. No aliens. No space demons out to kill all humans. Just shit and space.

  • You sir are an idiot

  • Dammit mum, ive told you not to reply to my youtube comments, your making me look stoopider!?

  • @toggsuk More stupid.. idiot. Not stoopider. / Mum.

  • @azynkron U iz stoopido.

  • @SteamEngenious Exactly.

  • radio waves are how we measure movement in space

  • or the red shift

  • ( ( ( ( ( ! ) ) ) ) )

  • ok... so can someone clarify this for me.. what would REALLY happen to a human body if it were to be completely exposed in outer space.

  • To put it very, very succinctly: without any air pressure from a surrounding atmosphere, the outward-pressing molecules of a living organism body...in this case such things as the air in the lungs, and blood pressure in the arteries and veins, of the human body...would automatically begin to seek equilibrium; with effectively absolute zero pressure surrounding, no place to go but out. Given the temporary strength of the muscle tissues, however, the process is, as said, not quick and painless.

  • [Continued]

That said...the best idea for hoping to survive the experience, if it is mercifully short and not too long, is NOT to "breathe deep," because that would only help the expansion process, in the end, but to breathe OUT, as much as possible, so as to lower the internal pressure as much as possible. Granted, it would likely only be ten seconds further time to remain conscious, if that...but something to know. The singular example I know from fiction is in, of course, Arthur C. Clarke.

  • you would freeze you idiot

  • wow this is scaryy....facisnating though i didnt know space has sound. Great vid though XD

  • Would a man be able to hear these sounds if he were in space?

  • No...first of all because tehre´s no air in space...therfor no sound. Second of all this are electromagnetic waves converted to sound so we can heard them.

  • so it pointless to call it sound.

  • Ehh...no...because it has been transformed into sound ;)

  • lol, no, fmshazam is right, and if they were, they'd have to take off their space helmets but the there heads would implode

  • No. 1) Not implode, explode and 2) 1 Atmo difference is not enough for explosive decompression to occur. Death in space is not a short 'pop', but fairly slow and agonizing as your blood boils and your softer tissues burst.

  • I didn't post the comment I made so I could argue, and you're right, but you would crumple. I get MY infomation from NASA sites. Now I don't wanty to argue anymore

  • at 1:26 a cliking of a mouse can be heard! The speaker changes the images!

  • rated s for scary :o

  • And this is our backyard.

Imagine how strange deep-space can be?

  • the sound of death itself

  • its like something from a dream!

  • Whoa. Am i dreaming or did I hear someone say 'help' from those Jupiter sounds??

  • Yes,I heard it as well..I ran the sound through one of my high tech gizmos and I think I understand what it was..It was Jerry Falwell saying..." Help me ! "

  • if they can convert them into audio why not in video format

  • because it's would result in something like snow with little anomalies we can't recogniz, just like we can;t recognize anything useful in the sounds.

  • lol if i didnt believe this i thought this was a

    science fiction horror movie :D

  • They're the "sounds" of solar winds and other electromagnetic phenomenon. Technically the Earth has "sounds" too, but you can't hear them without equipment. Sometimes the sound of the aurora borealis can be heard on telephones etc. Apparently there's a sound on Earth which sounds like a lion roaring, but I can't find it anywhere. :(

  • You can get a VLF radio or build one from a kit. They are very simple devices that allow you to hear similar sounds generated on earth. Pretty neat. Look for "natural radio" in Google to get some ideas.

  • sounds like screams of people in hell.

  • lol, why people and why hell? i can already imagine what u believe in.

  • its just solar wind nutthing else -.-

  • there is one in jupiter on the artic region it sounds like a north pole storm

  • wattahell!!

    is this real???????

    LOL

  • yah, radio sounds, there's alot of magnetic disturbance in space, alot more then the protected earth

  • omg that's scary

  • haha =D

    cute.
