  • you forgot the cat LOL!! awesome vid! im performing it!- a percussionist!

  • herbert brought me here.

  • it looks like the wolf is coming for you in the beginning...or was it just me?

  • its almost as if peter changes into the wolf. They got the same icy glare.

  • 4 people got killed by wolves

  • this music reminds me of my childhood, watching the video at my nana's when my mam went to work.

  • :megusta:

  • i think that boy is emo or something.

  • @TheMovieman159 No he's just damn serious about killing that Wolf.

  • BURD!!!

  • Where is the image in this video take from? Did they do a puppet/stop-motion film based on it? (I've saw the Disney hand-animated one when I was a kid.) Thanks!

  • @Glyph2040 Its from a more recent remake of the story, made in 2006 using stop motion animation, no words. Just music. You can easily find it on IMDb

  • @dragongirl89115 Yeah, that's exactly where I went right after asking and found it, watched it on Netflix and LOVE IT!! Thanks for the reply though. Totally beautiful, true to the original story & painstakingly crafted. A well-deserved Oscar!

  • @dragongirl89115 dear god, this gave me chills. it was also the inspiration for my horror rewrite of peter and the wolf. kinda like zombie meets wolf. those dogs on resident evil afterlife except the jaw is missing and the gums are hanging out. how can it eat? by shovong the man/woman/child down it's throat and purposefully staggering towards it's next victim (disguised as a person) and then transforming and killing them. eating the guts afterwards. did i mention it had no eyes?

  • @able2ful1 i would read it, where can i find such a gruesome story?

  • @slyfox9020 i'm rewriting it right now but i'll put it on word and email it to you. what's your email?

  • @Glyph2040 it is from a clay-mation version of the movie that was made. it was a really hard movie to fid

  • @xxxgrahamkrackrxxx Yeah, I found it on Netflix and LOVE IT! =) A well-deserved Oscar!

  • Was there an actual movie called based of Peter and the Wolf?? Like not the puppet film but an actual animated movie :o

  • If I came across a wolf who had that look, I would probably have a heart attack. Talk about creepy

  • In the elementary we must go to the theatre. Very bad version... :(

  • My childhood!

  • Prokofiev - Peter And The Wolf March

  • prokofiev is an old musician it is much oldre than your chilhood jaja

  • I always used to cry when the duck got swallowed.

The wolf is so scary, AJADBGFLAJADJFHASLKFHAS. I'm afraid of the big bad wolf.

  • it includes also The Cat

  • I'm in heaven.....

  • THIS is music!

  • my childhood ;-) so beautiful

  • I remember clicking through all of these netflix videos and came across this...I fell in love with it. ThE420bOY is right, it's refreshing to hear something so amazing and calm other than the horrible things you hear on the radio.

  • Fucking Grand! Childhood came flooding back

  • gooood

  • Ah, the BIRD!<3

  • i wish i could play my flute like this

  • 2 youtubers will be eaten by the wolf

  • Das ist sehr gut... :D Es gefällt mir. :D

  • i'm 35 years old, I remember my parents telling my this story. Tears.

  • Do you know who made the picture you used?

  • this story built allot of who i am today :)

  • omg, this reminds me of elementary school!

  • Omg! Its from the Coke Cola commercial!

  • @animefreaks456 no.... it's Sergei Prokofiev's work from 1936 that Coca Cola used completly out of context to create their commercial.

    Please get your origins correct.

  • @reneeleighanne18 +10 points

  • Ich habs gefunden :D

  • The Story Begins is my favorite theme out of this whole collection

  • Is this available on DVD?

  • great storyline, great music what ask more?

  • santas little helper!

  • so sad when the duck gets swallowed. :(

  • Isn't the child creepy looking in the picture.

  • @MrBenjamin1978 looks like cillian murphy when he was a kid

  • :3 i remeber watching the cartoon when I was really little.. I watched this, and the mickey mouse version of Jack and the Beanstalk, and the movie with the Zippity Doo Da song.. I was really sick at the time, though for the life of me, I can't remember what with..

:) but in spite of memories of my illness, I do love this little tune. I always have it in the background when I write for my oblivious/adorable characters XD

  • the opening bit is played a bit too fast. I like the version of the german philiharmonican orchester, its much more settled and darker.

  • I think this song apeared in the french cartoons that I used to watch... or something

  • I remember as a kid my dad would read this story to me before i would go to bed.....

  • Awesome!

  • I love this version of Peter & the Wolf. Despite the fact that it had no dialogue, it was the most emotional version of the movie I had seen. I don't know why, but I love how Peter was kind enough to let the wolf go after what it did. It showed just how much mercy one can have on another creature.

  • had this song stuck in my head and didnt know what it was now i found it :D

  • I guess the soundtrack isn't on itunes. =/ There is the same pieces of music, but done with David Bowie? 0_o

  • @BloomingSkulls You mean Sting? Or is there one with David Bowie now? 0_o

  • @oldVideoGamesChannel

I'm almost positive it was done by Bowie, lol how bazaar!

  • Thank you ver much for posting this I really appreciate it. /paul

  • I jumped at 4:47. This was the first time I've listened to this. That was scary.

  • @TheBrainPulse Sorry, I meant more around 4:45.

  • To any fellow audiophiles ripping the music from this: render it in whatever audio program at 0.95 original playback, allowing the pitch to lower as well. This will avert the sped-up/higher-pitched -ness.

  • when I was seven, I listened to this for music class and i haven't forgotten about it since(:

  • OK, NOW THAT I'VE FINALLY FOUND IT...sigh...is there a specific title for the song played at the start of the video? i heard it on Mega64 and since then i've been freaking out to get it...help? =D

  • @BlackHawkGaming The segment at the beginning is called the The Story Begins.

  • @dragongirl89115 I have also seen it being called "Peter's theme".

  • I had luck searching for "Peter In the Meadow" as the title of that segment

  • @BlackHawkGaming hahahah same, only i knew it right away xD

  • @BlackHawkGaming The music is by Prokofiev - the whole piece is titled "Peter and the Wolf."

  • Where i can to download this version? Thanks

  • this sounds sped up

  • I used to love this story growing up. I still love the story and just love the music as well. I've always wondered if there was a music version of it without the storytelling. This is great. :)

  • Can anyone tell me what game the violin music is in? im completely at a blank.

  • amazing song as real help for those who are blind...they can use there imagination to make their own story! i LOVE this peice! :D

  • This also contains the cat between the duck and the grandfather, one of the best clarinet parts ever written.

  • 0:01- 0:44 inspired me to play the violin. In fact, I played this tune at the talent show last month.

  • ....i love this song. Prokofiev is a GENIUS>>>And the flute part is amazing

  • @Brooklyn2400 being a flute player myself its awesome

  • @Brooklyn2400 me too! I'm actually listening to this now since I'm playing the bird excerpt for an audition :)

  • AMAZING.....reminds me so much of my childhood!

  • @challyy89 I don't know why though.... (for me)

  • @challyy89 LOL did wolves try to kill you?
