"Truth" is something that philosophers have debated for millenia. The definition given in websters is but one definition, and if in fact the definition of truth found in websters is itself truth, then it must correspond to "the origional". The problem with websters definition is that "The original" is a vague concept that is often hard to determine. Other definitions have said truth is that which corresponds to reality. or to fact. Some even said truth is identical to fact.
