It's genuine but classic in the greatest tradition of the 80's, the witty and confident vocalists, but romantic at times and part disco. Even the name just fits. They both play multiple instruments, well, and at least one can probably win a dance contest. I'm glad I found Chromeo - every song is catchy and grooves. Most of their stuff is electro-funk/R&B(80's R&B, mind you). they call to mind groups like The System, The Time, Klymaxx, The Deele, Midnight Star, and especially Zapp. A lot of their stuff reminds me of underground dance music that was being played in the 80's, before house took over(although some of Chromeo's stuff sounds like old school house as well) But this song has a Hi NRG kind of sound.
