  • You can bump fire a sub2000 pretty easily.

put the gun near your hip and put your finger through the trigger guard and hook your beltloop with your finger. push forward on the gun with just enough force to activate the trigger and the recoil will keep the gun firing(pretty much full auto)

I should also mention this is a stupid waste of ammo but fun to try once or twice.

  • The video is cool, however - I can get a better rate of fire by holding down the trigger on my .30 cal carbine - I imagine its similar with the 995's. You press the trigger just to the point where it shoots - and you get about 4 rounds a second maybe 5. You just have to feel your gun out - also I heard you put something on trigger so that it doesn't cycle foreward - or is it backward? See I don't mod my guns - I leave that to the pros.

  • @Mark48152

Thats called bump firing, and trust me, doing it with a keltek or a hipoint is darn near impossible. I can do it all day long with my saiga AK, but not with these.

  • @lbreevesii Is that just because of the crappy trigger?

  • @lbreevesii

I hear the trigger is real tough on them. I have a M1 carbine which I've been told is well rounded for bump firing, I do it at the range just to p - off the range officers, but for the most part they don't care. I also put a scope on my M1 carbine, there is a reason why there is no videos of the dissassembly of the rear scope mount plate, its extremely difficult. But I have a mount system that also incorporates iron sights so its all good.

  • did you make the magazine?

  • I wish he would have cleared the gun before pointing it up towards his head.

  • @imh11621

I did you moron. I pulled the charging handle back and locked it into position.

  • @Shellshock1918 Certainly took you long enough to reply. What has been, 2 months? You might have done all of that after the barrel was directed at your head, but it sure wasn't evident from the vid. And I am supposed to be moron? What dumbass you are.

  • @imh11621

For one, this isn't my channel. CLEARLY, when you look at the video, I lock the bolt back before the muzzle goes anywhere near my head.

  • @Shellshock1918 First of all, racking the handle once and locking it back does not clear the weapon. Also the mag wasn't removed after your were done shooting. Not to mention that any visual inspection to the chamber you made was a passing glance at best. I'm not trying to slam you here, but the steps you bypassed are pretty important. So I'll say it again, I wish that the gun would have been cleared before pointing it up towards your head.

  • @imh11621

    Listen, dipshit.

The gun was cleared. Contrary to your belief, YOU DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING.

  • @Shellshock1918 Your right, I don't know everything. But its obvious I know a lot more than you about gun safety. You know what, never mind. Just keep doing what you have been. Maybe we will all get lucky and the uncleared weapon you keep pointing at your head will go off. One less mouth breather that the world will have to suffer through. What an idiot.

  • @imh11621

    You're*

Obviously you have never owned a sub-2000. Otherwise you'd shut the fuck up.

  • @Shellshock1918 Can't say I've ever wanted to own one. But if I did, I'd handle it for what it really is. Its a weapon, not a toy. When you grow up, maybe you'll get that. I doubt it. Just keep doing what you have been. Don't change a thing. One can only hope that your skills with a firearm will land you exactly where you deserve. I am done with this conversation. Go post some more you tube vids of yourself pretending to know hat you are doing. Pathetic.

  • @imh11621

    cool story, bro.

  • Kinda looks like an mp44 without that huge magazine

  • Unlike .44 Rem Mag, 9mm through a carbine barrel is not a huge improvement over pistol barrels. It is no rifle.

A pistol caliber carbine is a very nice alternative to a pistol for a novice. In less than one box, my girlfriend was getting every round in the black - she has trouble getting on the paper with a handgun.

  • Yup. . As a great man once said, rifles are rifles and pistols are pistols. This adds a couple hundred fps to a small caliber pistol round but thats about it. really helps flatten out the trajectory though.

These pistol carbines are a lot of fun because they're accurate, cheap to feed, and easy to handle(for your friends/ladies you are introducing to shooting).

  • @bubba55l of course its not a rifle...its a carbine

  • where did you find that clip

    ?

  • This clip is featured on youtube

  • @rmata09 lol he called it a clip

  • thats a crazy gun man im gunna try to get my hands on one in wisconsin they seriously run for about $130

  • SLOW

  • It looks like a G3

  • Then you have no idea what a G3 is do you?

  • Yea i shot one off

  • I don't understand why you say it looks like a G3?

  • Look at it, it shares similarities

  • the G3 is about a foot longer, the large magazine protrudes underneath the weapon in front of the trigger guard and weighs 4 times as much as the kel-tec. the front sight housings kind of look similar, is that what you are talking about?

  • yea kind've

  • Firing burst?

  • Anyone have any experience with how durable the KelTec firearms are? I've been hesitant to get one because I have doubts about how they hold up long term or under stress. I like the fact that this carbine accepts 9mm cartridges and the .223 version accepts AR-15 mags.

  • I bought a plr-16 about one year ago and have never had any problems dream gun put about 800 rounds through it so far. Not to mention sick looking with the right equipment. Thinking about getting a pf-9.

  • I have had the SU-16, PLR-16 and sub-2000 all for years now, all work flawlessly. only problem is finding reliable hi capacity mags for my sub 2000.

  • What's the better carbine to you: SU-16 or Sub 2000?

  • I collect and treat all my weapons equally. SU-16 is basically an assault rifle that can be outfitted with a long distance scope to give you accuracy easily past 500 yards. sub 2000 is strictly short range, probably 100 yards or less. If you go with the sub 2000, go with the glock or beretta magazine compatible models. I purchased the S&W compatible model and have had nothing but trouble with aftermarket magazines. I have had good experiences with kel-tec, and recommend either model.

  • Ok. The reason I asked is because the cheapest route right now seems to get the Sub 2000 with Glock compatibly. I love how the SU-16 looks and I know it is greater in accuracy and firepower, but .223 ammo is sooo hard to get now a days. You'd spend a lot less just buying 9mm or .40 that can be used in multiple weapons.

    Thanks for the reply.

  • are you kidding me, The only reason Id get one of those is for protecting my home or homestead. And even then id rathar have a keltec su16 because of the range and reliabiliy of resupplying on ammo if shtf. 9mm is harder to come by than 223

  • I'm having no trouble getting 9mm.. the rifle stuff, particularly the 'assault rifle' stuff (in lefty speak), is harder. I order several different 9mm brands online and it comes in a couple of days.

But how is 9mm when used as 'rifle' ammo? I would think muzzle velocity is better than pistol muzzle velocity, so maybe it's not terrible as a short range carbine round.. but any kind of decent weight bullet and it's subsonic from a pistol.

  • Has about .357 power when within 50 yards, so I've heard, don't quote me on that though. A great plinking gun and back packer though. And at 4 lbs, can't beat it, just wish it had last shot hold open. Other than that, it's a kickass gun and a good home defense weapon, still prepher shotgun, but it has proven very reliable. Where did you find one, I can't find them in stock anywhere.

  • How so? both are NATO rounds...9mm reamins to be a huge seller, I'd be willing to bet its right up there with .45acp.

  • " assault rifles" are select fire. Su-16 is not. Not being mean, just trying not to have that word flying around, giving gun-lovers an even worse name to the public and government.

  • Thank you for correcting me about the assault rifle term.

  • @aaron0313 I found a great deal on some PW 33 rd. Mags for my Sub 2000. I paid $11.00 each. They feed great and they stay tight when inserted. I love this little Sub 2000. Cheap to buy and fire.......

  • Theyre two different cals...For lethality and over all versatility the SU-16c but if you want a pistol-cal carbine then the Sub2000...

  • anybody here ever carry it for protection like i0n a backpack of fag bag or such?

  • i can see the folding feature really coming in handy

  • well my favorite feature of this (though not so powerful bullet but perfect for emergencies) is that the is little recoil

  • Its a decent gun. I like how it folds in half so it can fit in backpack. I don't like the plastic sight at the end. The front sight post is hard to adjust and you need to be carefull because its plastic. It comes with a 10 round clip and it is illegal in most states to alter a firearm and that includes the magazine. Where I live in NY it is punishable to up to 10 years in prison. So do yourself a favor and know the laws before you alter this weapon. I added a laser sight to mine for nighttime.

  • Where did you find the laser sight?

  • if by 'most states' you mean a handfull depending on what mods you are talking about. NY, CA, and MA are always ridiculous when it come to laws, but there isnt many others like them.

  • haha first 9 seconds its almost got a tune to it

  • how much did you get this gun for?

  • They run about $300

  • @lbreevesii can you switch these for a higher caliber?

  • i just got one today.nice gun you have.

  • This gun isnt that good, its fun, but it not accurate at all.

  • They're generally plenty accurate, its just that the sights blow.

  • Maybe you should teach me then, I tried 50 in the standing and 50 in the prone. the 50 in the prone weren't as good as I would want. How far are your targets?

  • we generally shoot at 25 yards and 50 yards and plink at 70-75(water bottles, clays, etc) Groups are generally good when we make an effort.

  • The sights could also be adjusted from the factory settings. I can managed to hit targets 75 yards away easily. The sights are fine with me.

  • I can make headshots all day long at 25 yards with mine. I did, however, adjust my sight to point of impact.

  • sweet

  • kamilcanla kazımhan

  • That looks like a fun gun to fire.

I wonder on a "go to arms" option with the sub 2000; maybe a good use?

  • Floks this is the Sub 2000 9mm.

I have it in the .40 cal glock body style and I have 29round clip for that. I wish they made a softer but for this gun becuase it will leave you sore.
