The only way to speed up, and then slow back down, is to eject a propellent -chemical, nuclear, or matter-antimatter. All would make you a star.

That bright spot is an artifact caused by interpolation between daily median images. Daily median images are used to provide near-real-time image enhancement. This a well known, and well documented type of artifact that appears when processing images like this.

That bright spot is an artifact caused by interpolation between daily median images. Daily median images are used to provide near-real-time image enhancement. This a well known, and well documented type of artifact that appears when processing images like this.
