uh an egg yolk only has roughly 5 grams of fat, 2 of them being saturated and the rest unsaturated... also yes the yolk is the portion with the most fat, but it is also the most nutrient dense portion of the egg, containing 100% of the carotenoids, essential fatty acids, vitamins A, E, D, and K as well as calcium, potassium, iron, zinc, thaimine, folate, and vitamin B6 and B12. The white on the other hand only has protein and low cals, sure its good for ya but just not as nutrient packed
@Alive4Metal my point simply is that while i completely agree with you scooby on the bad fats vs good fats concept, keep in mind that a small percentage of saturated fats in your diet (2 grams is nothing) contribute with testosterone production as well as is essential for healthy cell membrane production. So it doesnt hurt to keep one yolk with them egg whites, can only benefit you, plus to say that fat slows down absorption of food and send signals of saiety to the brain. Keep a yolk or 2
Hey scooby, Love you videos:P Well i have a problem, i am looking for these abs and crunches is the best way , well the problem is that i am a litle chubby :P but the real problem is that if i lose more weight then my chest will stick out ALOT and my belly will look small, so i need to get big abs so it will fit in with my chest . Will i get abs even if i am a litle chubby? i meen i am not over weight, but still, if i lose weight my chest will stick out
anyone who says scooby is on steroids i LOL at you. The man obviously has been training a long time given his age and the man isn't abnormally big and seems to have none of the steroid side effects. BTW if you eat alot of egg yolks, say 8, thats 16g sat fat. Honestly do you really want that much sat fat? JUST EAT FISH, STEAK OR CHICKEN IF YOU WANT GOOD FAT :) i love eating natural peanut butter :) all the fat i need
hey scooby, tried this recipe yesterday and this morning, honestly can't get over how delicious this is. don't listen to the hate and abuse youtubers feed you on these vids. you make the change in lifestyle from unhealthy to healthy much easier and very enjoyable, your website and nutritional advice have done a lot for me and many others including many of my friends. so yeah just a thanks, you're doing a good thing man, thanks so much :D
I raise my own Chicken's and I try to use organic feed so there is little pesticide in my eggs. Also, I have found leaving maybe 1 yolk per 3 eggs makes them taste way better than just solid whites. Also a good way to eat eggs without the yolk is just to hard boil them and toss the yolk. If you want to make and awesome Tuna melt, add hard boiled egg whites and use Light mayo (miracle whip) or you can substitute Mayonnaise with reg. yogurt (add apple cider vinegar to give it a little kick)
"i hate watery runny eggs, BLAGGGHHHH!" LOL he puked out a the left over corpse of a baby lol i know chuck norris would hahah. great recipe by the way.... i tried it and its freaking awsome. thanks scoob!

Sorry, but if you microwave Broccoli , you'll lose at least 57% or more of it's nutrients. Better steam it for about 30 seconds instead if you're getting it out of the freezer. Other than that, the meal looks and tastes good! :)
I've eaten this before, and it tastes great. My suggestion is to NOT cook the salsa, though. There is no need to cook it, as it diminishes the flavor and cooks out some of the nutrients unnecessarily. Also, it has a stronger flavor when the salsa is uncooked. Great video, Scoob!

Hey Scooby, you have probably already answered this somewhere but I cant find it. Can you make the salsa or do you buy it .. If so is it something I can find in a local health food store or supermarket? I see you use it in alot of meals and i have not seen it before here in Australia .. then again maybe I should just look harder for it. Thanks so much for your vids and in advance for answering my little question .. Matt :)
Isn't there like also beneficial stuff in the egg yolks i.e. lots of vitamins? I once also read an article about eggs and the misconceptions about cholesterol and stuff like that, though you didn't speak about cholesterol in this vid.
I myself usually eat the whole egg(s) because it would feel like waste to me. So far with my cardio I think I'm getting just leaner (best 6 pack so far in my over 3 years of bodybuilding "career" and I'm nearly 20)
for somereason this is the only video that wont play and this is one of the ones I was most interested in fml lol I am sure the video was great scooby
for somereason this is the only video that wont play and this is one of the ones I was most interested in fml lol I am sure the video was great scooby
That is awesome Scoob! I love your vids mate, a true inspiration!
So far my "healthy" meals are pasta, tuna, cheese, and egg occassionally, I need to spice it up or I'll get bored one day..I'll see if me mam can get some of that salsa next time she's shopping.
Is there any variation of salsa i.e. good and bad salsa or is it all generally the same? Because I'm not sure the salsa we use in Mexican fajitas is good? xD
@dko9873 Hmmmm. You have 8-pack abs and have all tge whole milk and eggs you want. Let me guess, you are 17? Keep eating like that and you will wake up a few decades from now with a big beer belly wondering what happened to those ashboard abs. :) The teen years is when you need to form good nutritional habits before its too late.
@scooby1961 hey scooby. i love your recipes. i made my own version one day. well to be honest i just added another ingredient. I used blackbeans, salsa (store bought), and added some canned chicken (a little extra protien) :D . I made some quesadillas with this filling, flour tortillas. they were awesome! I highly recommend them. for a little extra flavor try adding some fresh lime juice to the mix!
PS. i was hoping you could post your salsa recipe. in text or video, it doesn't matter to me.
@dko9873 1) I never once mentioned the word cholesterol in my video, thats NOT why I suggest throwing them out! 2) You are rude and I dont like rude people. 3) If you have to resort to name calling every time someone disagrees with your point of view you aren not going to get very far in this world.
@scooby1961 thats one of the things i like about your videos your very placid and calm, where as some people start getting all juiced up and angry and kind of puts you off trying there advice, dealing with a jealous school boy the way you did was awesome :P i plan to try this recipe but my wife said if im going to eat a egg in this house i have to eat the whole egg so im going to have to cheat on her with an egg white.
@scooby1961 Tell him, Scoob. I am constantly amazed at the jerks on YouTube. I used to think that people, in general, were nice and well-mannered, but not anymore. The internet, because of it's anonymity, brings out what people are really like inside. I think most people are creeps given the first chance they get.
@scooby1961 hey i want to loose 13 KG can u Tell me how i loose it and what i need to eat at breakfast and do i need to eat this egg skoobasa evry day? at night?
@27albrecht they do something bad to the eggs when they make egg beaters, I dont know what. Egg beater eggs give me the most unbelievable gas more than any other food on the planet, I'm like a human hovercraft!
Yeah! Feed the world egg yolks and watch cardiovascular disease rise! Good job. Very smart. There are other healthier ways to get omega 3s. You rock scooby! Keep on keepin' on!
@staticthunder eggs arn't what's bad for you sir, it is the sugar that you consume in large quantities which causes your cholesterol to stick and cholesterol levels rise as well as blood pressure.
a couple eggs are gonna do more good than bad if you have a healthy diet. just get the grain fed ones. the white egg yolks are more saturated. Omega 3 is essential.. plus the sulfur in the eggs which isn't made aware to the public.. sulfur is very important for our cells
@Zuraph I know eggs are good for you. The topic here is eliminating the bad fat and cholesterol as well. There are other ways to get to get the nutrients talked about. Also, here in the video 8-ish eggs are in the equation. If, i remember correctly, 1-2 egg yolks per week is the acceptable in a normal person. If people take this as a norm, that egg yolks aren't bad that would be bad. You also have to take in such factors such as genetics. If genetically cholesterol is high or sugar is high,
@Zuraph the chances are for cardiovasular disease in the later stages or life is high. Genetics is the biggest risk factor of all, diet will help, but fails in comparison to genetics. I was merely being sarcastic about the reply saying something to the sort of "some people in the world are starving." That is the wrong way to attack such a growing epidemic such as cardiovascular disease. More good, less bad. Other vitamins and minerals can be acquired via a multi, supplements and a good diet.
@staticthunder don't blame commercialized sugar and salt on eggs, those are the 2 major factors of high cholesterol and blood pressure...and the lack of eating onions and garlic too. Anyway anything natural is going to be better for you and sugar is not meant to be consumed the way we consume it, neither is salt....eggs are fine in moderation yes. but the concern with cholesterol with eggs is majorily due to the fact that sugar makes the blood sticky and cholesterol builds up in our arteries
@Zuraph I am not blaming anything on anything. Salt, unknowingly, is consumed more than the RDA by most people; myself included, i bet. If you take into consideration the egg yolks consumed by the population adding on other average to high cholesterol foods as well as lifestyle, there lies the problem. Like I said, there are other ways, better ways, in which one can ingest nutrients. Eggs aren't the enemy, it's the daily combination along with eggs which builds up in the span of 40+ years.
@staticthunder ive read a study where eggs actually help improve hearth health and lower bad cholesterol so the evidence is there that its beneficial. of course abusing anything is harmful or too much of anything. eggs are not bad. they just need to be enjoyed moderately and are actually really good for our health
@Zuraph Well then I don't understand what we're debating about. You say eggs are good in moderation and so do I. I say eggs are good and you do as well. The heart's coronary arteries are not the only onea involved - vascular which means it is systemic. As I have stated 1-2 egg yolks are good in a week. Egg whites are great, yolk is different. Wanna get good sources of omega 3? Flaxseed, walnuts, salmon, etc. All I've been saying is that egg yolks aren't the best for you as well as arguing that
@staticthunder okay well get your omega 3, i trust i can eat 2 eggs a day if im eating a healthy diet and be fine. the sulfur contents of egg yolks are beneficial as well as the omega 3. to each their own. eat ur walnuts and onions. i do it all. just dont like trashing good 2 yellow balls of yolk when i can put them to good use
now if you're 50 and have been drinking mountain dews everyday for 20 years dont eat any at all
@Zuraph I eat enough meat, fish and eggs to get my sulfur. I hope that you do remain perfectly fine ingesting 2 yolks per day. That is a good thing! As for me, with a family history of CV disease, trashing two "good yellow yolks" which costs about nothing will cost thousands of dollars added up in the long run. No reason to not avoid it at all if just nutrients are talked about. If you're 50 and downing soda's for 20 years, that only means you don't care much or at all. Then that is irrelevant.
(i get mine from multi vitamins, and several other suppliment sources) The white of the egg, is just some protien i can put in my stomache, and i know its gonna give me the fuel i need for my workout. thats all that i want it to do. Scoob is trying to give helpful advice, that many people should take. instead of trying to over analize things, and posting negative comments to a very positive video (that scoob made available to us for free! out of the goodness of his heart.)
@gibbyboy66 and @vivalariverita Lets look at both sides to this.. You are correct when you suggest that there are good vitamins in the yolk of the eggs. and Scoob is definately correct when he advises real body builders to steer clear of the fats that are also in the yolk. The measley few vitamins your gonna get from that yolk come with a fatty price. When people who are serious about body building are going to get their vitamins they need in many different sources.
@Zuraph lol sorry that sounded harsh.. okay egg yolks from organic eggs are good for you... no more than 2 at a time though for me. plus lots of nutrients in there.
and microwaves are bad for you, i like to steam my brocolli
a steamer is quick and easy.. it would be done steaming by the time ur done cooking that. That's not even broccoli anymore.. just looks like it
microwaves = bad = colon cancer = changed atonomy of your food
grain fed eggs. the brown ones aint that bad for ya but you probably don't want to eat no more than 2. yolks contain omega 3 fatty acids which is essential for your health. eat the good brown grain fed egg yolks
stop microwaving your food please.. a steamer is quick and easy.. it would be done steaming by the time ur done cooking that. for crying outload that's not even broccoli anymore.. just looks like it
microwaves = bad = colon cancer = changed atonomy of your food

@VivaLaRiverita holy shit!!!!! someone that actually knows something!!! thank god. i agree with you man scooby is wrong, along with 95% of his naive followers. been trying to convince him but he is too stubborn to learn the facts. or he is too cowardly to admit that he is wrong. eggs=best food there is! best source of protein, and choline. along with many other B complex vitamins that ARE NOT FOUND IN VEGETABLES OR FRUITS!!! oh and it doesnt stop, there are many more vitamins that yolks cointain
Hey Scoob, I solved my own Yolk Problem, by just goin ahead and cooking them up, and feeding them to my Dog (red heeler) and she really appreciates them. and I harvest all my own eggs from my own chickens. and I even make my own salsa. I have been using this recipe since you had posted the video, and i really like it. but instead of the broccoli at the end, i add one fillet of fish to the mix. (because my salsa i make already has broccoli in it) i know weird huh..
@ 2sexy4myshooz :I´ve been practice Judo and Kickboxing stuff since i´m 7 years old. know i injured my knee and going to the gym, my only chance to build my body;) some HomeDoing Workouts from Scooby in my kickboxing time get me better and my body looks very great! try more from Scoobys stuff.
I miss making breakfast every morning! College life has resorted most of my meals to less-than-favorable cafeteria food. With homework and practice depleting most of my day, it can be hard to get all the nutrition I need...especially when every around me seems to be stuffing their faces with junk!

scooby plz answer to this, im 6'1 21 years old and only 150 pounds. I wanna have six pack abs. Some ppl will tell me bulkin up is the right way, but after seeing how much time it takes do u really think its going to be the best thing? Can i still get six pack abs at 150 pounds? Ive been doing ur program about losing weight for the last month/ and a half and ive already lost 4 kilos, i definitely see a difference, but should i continue cuz im only 150 pounds? Bulking up or losing weight for me?

Microwaving is not healthy, neither is frying eggs. I mostly boil eggs and I don't eat more than 3 a week. However, I will start eating only egg whites.
Yolks contain cholesterol. Although cholesterol in large doses is not beneficial, small doses is good. Cholesterol is the building block to hormones.
See Wikipedia:
Cholesterol is an important precursor molecule for the synthesis of Vitamin D and the steroid hormones, including the adrenal gland hormones cortisol and aldosterone as well as the sex hormones progesterone, estrogens, and testosterone, and their derivatives.
@C2daRISTIAN Funny! Maybe I should have a video where Im bench pressing and about to have my neck crushed then olive can feed me salsa and then i can power thebar up :)
@scooby1961 thank you for replying! :) USA lost at the world cup :'( but u made my day by replying thank you! olive would feed you salsa while your benching pressing 2000 pounds! haha
mm ill try this tomorrow :)
BTW scooby, do you make your salsa yourself. If so, could you pls tell whats in it or better yet, make a video?

Quick Question:
1) Home made salsa? Or did you just buy Salsa Sauce?
2) Did you have vegetable oil or any kind of oil in the pan? Or was the sauce enough for it not to burn the egg onto the pan?
3) Did you put salt into the egg?
Sorry for the questions!

Matt :)

Scooby, did you make that salsa yourself or was it already made?

@dko9873 sorry, egg yolk has cholesterol approximately 1240 mg:s. that's a medical fact, deal with it.
XIIIphobos 1 year ago
Isn't there like also beneficial stuff in the egg yolks i.e. lots of vitamins? I once also read an article about eggs and the misconceptions about cholesterol and stuff like that, though you didn't speak about cholesterol in this vid.
I myself usually eat the whole egg(s) because it would feel like waste to me. So far with my cardio I think I'm getting just leaner (best 6 pack so far in my over 3 years of bodybuilding "career" and I'm nearly 20)
Thanks for the vids btw, love your effort :)

Because I'm not sure the salsa we use in Mexican fajitas is good? xD
Cheers!

@dko9873 Conspiracy theorist here??
Mate, grow up, no need to blow a lid over nothing, gets you nowhere other than in the bad books of others.
High metabolism doesn't mean you can eat what you want and get away with it, you're just piling up the crap but you don't see it untill it's too late.
That 8 pack will dissappear one day fella, turn it around as quick as.
This is coming from a 17 year old.

Yeah! Feed the world egg yolks and watch cardiovascular disease rise! Good job. Very smart. There are other healthier ways to get omega 3s. You rock scooby! Keep on keepin' on!
staticthunder 1 year ago
@staticthunder eggs arn't what's bad for you sir, it is the sugar that you consume in large quantities which causes your cholesterol to stick and cholesterol levels rise as well as blood pressure.
a couple eggs are gonna do more good than bad if you have a healthy diet. just get the grain fed ones. the white egg yolks are more saturated. Omega 3 is essential.. plus the sulfur in the eggs which isn't made aware to the public.. sulfur is very important for our cells
Zuraph 1 year ago
@staticthunder whfoods.org look up eggs
read the facts
eggs arn't that bad...
incredible edible egg
Zuraph 1 year ago
@Zuraph I know eggs are good for you. The topic here is eliminating the bad fat and cholesterol as well. There are other ways to get to get the nutrients talked about. Also, here in the video 8-ish eggs are in the equation. If, i remember correctly, 1-2 egg yolks per week is the acceptable in a normal person. If people take this as a norm, that egg yolks aren't bad that would be bad. You also have to take in such factors such as genetics. If genetically cholesterol is high or sugar is high,
staticthunder 1 year ago
@Zuraph the chances are for cardiovasular disease in the later stages or life is high. Genetics is the biggest risk factor of all, diet will help, but fails in comparison to genetics. I was merely being sarcastic about the reply saying something to the sort of "some people in the world are starving." That is the wrong way to attack such a growing epidemic such as cardiovascular disease. More good, less bad. Other vitamins and minerals can be acquired via a multi, supplements and a good diet.
staticthunder 1 year ago
@staticthunder don't blame commercialized sugar and salt on eggs, those are the 2 major factors of high cholesterol and blood pressure...and the lack of eating onions and garlic too. Anyway anything natural is going to be better for you and sugar is not meant to be consumed the way we consume it, neither is salt....eggs are fine in moderation yes. but the concern with cholesterol with eggs is majorily due to the fact that sugar makes the blood sticky and cholesterol builds up in our arteries
Zuraph 1 year ago
@Zuraph I am not blaming anything on anything. Salt, unknowingly, is consumed more than the RDA by most people; myself included, i bet. If you take into consideration the egg yolks consumed by the population adding on other average to high cholesterol foods as well as lifestyle, there lies the problem. Like I said, there are other ways, better ways, in which one can ingest nutrients. Eggs aren't the enemy, it's the daily combination along with eggs which builds up in the span of 40+ years.
staticthunder 1 year ago
@staticthunder ive read a study where eggs actually help improve hearth health and lower bad cholesterol so the evidence is there that its beneficial. of course abusing anything is harmful or too much of anything. eggs are not bad. they just need to be enjoyed moderately and are actually really good for our health
Zuraph 1 year ago
@Zuraph Well then I don't understand what we're debating about. You say eggs are good in moderation and so do I. I say eggs are good and you do as well. The heart's coronary arteries are not the only onea involved - vascular which means it is systemic. As I have stated 1-2 egg yolks are good in a week. Egg whites are great, yolk is different. Wanna get good sources of omega 3? Flaxseed, walnuts, salmon, etc. All I've been saying is that egg yolks aren't the best for you as well as arguing that
staticthunder 1 year ago
@staticthunder okay well get your omega 3, i trust i can eat 2 eggs a day if im eating a healthy diet and be fine. the sulfur contents of egg yolks are beneficial as well as the omega 3. to each their own. eat ur walnuts and onions. i do it all. just dont like trashing good 2 yellow balls of yolk when i can put them to good use
now if you're 50 and have been drinking mountain dews everyday for 20 years dont eat any at all
Zuraph 1 year ago
@Zuraph I eat enough meat, fish and eggs to get my sulfur. I hope that you do remain perfectly fine ingesting 2 yolks per day. That is a good thing! As for me, with a family history of CV disease, trashing two "good yellow yolks" which costs about nothing will cost thousands of dollars added up in the long run. No reason to not avoid it at all if just nutrients are talked about. If you're 50 and downing soda's for 20 years, that only means you don't care much or at all. Then that is irrelevant.
staticthunder 1 year ago
@Zuraph "the world is starving, so im gonna eat the yolks!" is not a good idea.. it's a really bad one actually.
staticthunder 1 year ago
(i get mine from multi vitamins, and several other suppliment sources) The white of the egg, is just some protien i can put in my stomache, and i know its gonna give me the fuel i need for my workout. thats all that i want it to do. Scoob is trying to give helpful advice, that many people should take. instead of trying to over analize things, and posting negative comments to a very positive video (that scoob made available to us for free! out of the goodness of his heart.)
kingkongkirk 1 year ago
@gibbyboy66 and @vivalariverita Lets look at both sides to this.. You are correct when you suggest that there are good vitamins in the yolk of the eggs. and Scoob is definately correct when he advises real body builders to steer clear of the fats that are also in the yolk. The measley few vitamins your gonna get from that yolk come with a fatty price. When people who are serious about body building are going to get their vitamins they need in many different sources.
kingkongkirk 1 year ago
Fuck it, i dont gonna throw away those eatable yellow things in the egg.. somewhere they don't have somth'n to eat. Think about it, Scooby.

grain fed eggs. the brown ones aint that bad for ya but you probably don't want to eat no more than 2. yolks contain omega 3 fatty acids which is essential for your health. eat the good brown grain fed egg yolks
