  • What garbage tone, i would rate this video very inappropriate! WTF

  • The tone completely sucks in this video. I wouldn't play one of these if they gave it to me.

  • i have one, i looove it. it makes me jizz.

  • The whole point of an EC Strat is to access

a wide range of tones w/o pedals....

PS is that a pedal I hear? Treat yourself and

that special Strat right and play it strait through a nice tube amp of your choice...

  • I have never ever heared Eric sound this crappy ! And i am sure i never will !

  • Something tells me that guitarist doesnt listen to Eric Clapton

  • Hey he is my guitar instructor! :D

  • Stupid vidéo , we can't appreciate this , this is not the real sound of the guitar !

  • what song did u play int his vid? i wanna play it when i make love

  • The demo really DOES NOT do the guitar justice, but I one and it is awesome!

  • is this guitar limited or it is going to be for sale for a long time? plz answer

  • @NFLmanic It should be around for a while

  • Agreed on the digital tone, I would drop it and go for something a bit more natural sounding....something that would represent the actual signature tone clapton had.

  • She will be mine, oh yes, she will be mine

  • this is a EC Signature Strat and you managed to make it sound like crap?? Have you got no ears? Please get rid of that stupid distorsion and learn how to play properly with a strat. No offense meant but damn......

  • the guy can't play

  • @radomu1 bs he is awesome you should hear him in person!

  • uhh...why are you guys using a thin-sounding, high-gain distortion to demo a Clapton strat? seriously. why not just a simple Fender twin?

  • lol i wasn't watching and i thought it was just a generic intro song, it couldn't be the clapton strat, but it was !

  • The "plastic" heavy distortion makes all the strat demos sound the same...

  • How do you make a Such top quality guitar sound soo horrendously bad

  • I never understood why they made it 22 frets when Eric's is 21 frets

  • I'm sure the blackie is a good guitar but buying one that looks so worn and old for more than a new one seems ridiculous to me.

  • if i was going to spend 2000 on a strat i would get a custom shop kingbee relic and put filtertons on that!

  • that tone is shit

  • with all respect. if you play a guitar like this then play it through a goddamn tube amp like a vibrolux or an AC30 . playing this guitar through a terrible digital component is blaspehemy!

  • This guy is nowhere near as good as EC, but they need someone to demo the ax. It shows that you don't have to be RC to play well. But not as well as EC, The Man!

  • how do noiseless pickups work? i assume they dont work like a noise gate muting the sound when u dont play right? cuz thats annoying

  • Mud Vain sucks!!!

  • no offense, but the amp/ was it the line 6 pod which was used for recording, sounded horrible. Like, this is a blackie for god sake, find a player who can plug it in dry into a fender twin/blues junior, and let the guitar sing. The dude playing this sounded out of context with the guitar. Anyway, the other dude will playing all the martin guitar was different, he showcased diff.guitar model so well.....but this guy in this video is just hopeless playing boring scales pattern

  • @jazzysam1314 Younever heard Clapton play a Blackie? Where have you been for the last.....

  • @klotzstang if thats the sort of tone & scale thats you like, good luck kid, it already shows how much of a player your. When you get more experience into music, espeically blues/rock, listen to the feel of eric kid, you are joking....

  • I have been a C;apton fan since he was with Cream. Sunshine of your Love was the first song I learned, in 1968. I build my own guiters, and blues rock is what I have been playing. I knew Clapton rules, before you were born!

  • what song is he playing?

  • I have a 600 euro epi les paul and its great i love it i may get this in two years or so ya no when the recessions over

  • i cant make up my mind weather to buy the clapton strat or the stevie ray vaughan, if i am going to buy it i need to buy it online as my local store does not have them in stock, so i am going back and forth watching videos to try to get a good idea about both of them, has anyone here played both of them?? i would really aappreciate your opinion.

  • ive played both i would go with the srv strat it has great tone

  • That would depend very much on whether you prefer maple (EC) or rosewood (SRV) fingerboards, V-shaped (EC) or C-Shaped (SRV) necks and vintage narrow (EC) or big jumbo (SRV) frets. Also, the EC's electronics are a bit more versatile with their mid-boost and TBX controls (sort of a treble boost), but many like the SRV's Texas Special PUs which are true single coils (if wound a little hotter) as opposed to the ECs noiseless stacked coil PUs. Neither guitar is really "better" than the other

  • thanks for the reply man, i ended up going for the SRV, I put 12 guage strings on her and she sounds sweet, really happy with it. I uploaded a video of it on my page if you want to check it out.. Thanks again

  • Wow, 12s are really big - I play 11-49, that's stiff enough for me, but I play in standard tuning all the time, never in Eb. Your SRV sounds great and you played great, too. Stevie's sound on "Lenny" is a bit brighter, but his Lenny guitar has a maple fingerboard. I like the fact that you went for a plain pickguard, rather than carrying another man's siganture letters around. Keep it up, buddy!

  • i have the EC strat. Its an excellent guitar. The action is extremely low just the way I like it, and the neck is extremely quick. I havent played the SRV strat but im sure both are excellent guitars.

  • how much? is this the ones that like $20,000?

  • Nah, we have it for $2000.

  • no because the 2000 one is just a replica which means its made just to look like ec's guitar. the $20000 is like preety much like ec's guitar. it has the neck that he used is the same kind of neck the same kind of pick- ups etc... if only i had that one haha

  • check out the andy summers signature telecaster from police... wonderful sound for as little as 10,000$

  • @iml337rofl its not fucking gibson -.-

  • Morrell Music, thanks for all this BUT.....

In every single demo, you play and sound the same no matter what guitar you play. Hot rod 62,american deluxe, clapton sig. etc etc...Your sound is too digital and I would like to hear the guitar more not your pedal board...! You have to take the guitar's personality you are playing into consideration. Thanks and peace..

  • Yeah, I agree stop using the pedal in your demo's it sounds way too digital.

  • Thanks for the comments guys, let us know when you have a site up.

  • @MorrellMusic instead of being a jerk about constructive criticism maybe try not using pedals because u might sell more guitars

  • @Oilman36 totally agree with your suggestion

  • i built my own, its awesome :D

  • I just got a black one yesterday. Sweet with so many tones at your fingertips. I think I still have a woody!

  • That demo guitarist guy scares me lol

  • it's worth it.

  • Too much high gain for a strat.

  • so much sustain on a bolt on neck bloody hell!

  • have you heard buddy guy's sustain? for a while i thought he had one of those "infinite sustain" pedals, but no, its just him. ive heard him hold a note for like 8-10 seconds before the volume dropped off. its astounding.

  • yeah he quite amazing

  • how much is it ?

  • 1700-2000

  • We have it for $1499 plus the 10% youtube discount.

  • USD or what ... ?

  • Yeah, USD. Check out our website. Can't post links here but it is on the top of our page.

  • They are awesome "shittyfuck"

I got my GL Jazz bass as a store model, got it in perfect shape, saved even more money, very nice customer service, and best of all, they dont rip you off

  • Thanks for the kind words rendog92. Hope you're enjoying the bass.

  • I've got it in Olympic White. SWEET! The bottom tone gives you a boost from -25 db to 0 db, then, even in clean channels gives you a distorted sound. This is a keeper for the rest of my life. I actually prefer many other guitarist over Clapton, but, he's Clapton and I respect the hell out that guy, but I really didn't get it because of him, I bought it because I just feel in love with her as soon as I laid my hands upon her, that sexy bitch!

  • I bought for the same reason bro. This axe feels like butta in your hands.....love this freakin thing.

  • Whats a better neck pickup for SRV/John Mayer type blues and Jimi Hendrix type hard rock,SCN noisless or vintage noiseless?

  • I lovee fender stratocasterrr!!

    wich amp?!

  • i have a fender squirt and sounds close inof to blackie,

just need the right noise, i also want a sg gibson but they both make different rythyms so it wont be too stupid to have 2 guitars

  • Hey Alan2098, Is it stupid to have 2 guitars? why? I have 5 and I use them every day. And squirt your Squier with gasoline and light it up to cook something, because that's the only use you could give it. It would never sound close to this guitar, even the American Standard Stratocaster which I tested side by side with the salesdude in the store, switching both guitars. The only stupid thing about having guitars is to buy a Squier and say that sounds like a Clapton. Get real.

  • oh man, you just don't have a clue

  • what was that song you were playin?

  • All For You, an original by the performer in the video.

  • i gotta get tabs for that

  • they should probablynot put so much COMPRESSION

make it sound like clapton come on!! haha

  • There is no added compression. That is a Clapton Strat through a Swell Overdrive into a Fender Deluxe Reverb on 10.

  • how do you activate the mid boost?

  • I believe it is activated by turning the middle tone control.

  • once you pass 5 on the middle tone control the mid boost kicks in.

ive also seen on internet forums where guys have incorporated an on/off switch so that they can also use the middle tone control to vary the treble on the middle pickup, as on a regular strat.

  • awesome sound...

    HIPPIE!

  • I wouldn't say that's clapton style playing....

  • Doesn't sound like the woman tone either...

  • all you'd have to do is turn the tone for any pickup all the way down to zero

  • i'm thinking about getting one in olympic white

  • can you even get one in white, i thought all blackies were black like claptons guitar.

  • yeah you can I saw olympic white color on musician friend website last month. also green

  • You can get them in several different colors, but the black one has "blackie" written on the headstock

  • i got one of these a couple days ago... and i gotta say its one of the best guitars ive ever laid my hands on...

  • The guy playing is a lovely looking embryo

  • Doesnt even sound like blackie, or the sound Clapton has today.

    Nice guitar tho

  • You'd have to be god to sound like clapton

  • Clapton uses fender gold lace sensors, those are vintage noiseless pickups.

  • No, he's playing the noiseless pickups for a few years now.

  • Is there any way I can get the midboost sound with out buying this guitar?

  • TBX circuit ;)

  • I was kinda wanting to get the sound without modding my guitar.

  • Hm... try getting your hands on an old fashioned treble booster and put it really low to medium. That should get you there.

  • any brand suggestion? thanks by the way.

  • You can create a false mid-boost by adjusting an equalizer (on your amp if possible). Put Treble and Bass at 8, and Mid at 10. With the TBX Booster, I believe clapton puts everything at 10, because the TBX automatically boosts the mid.

  • TBX stands for treble bass exspander. it pretty much lets you take control of the pick ups. turn all the bass on or all of it off. alot of Erics sound comes from his custom made twin (the Tweed ones kinda looks like a bassmen) fender custom built him 3. so they brake up easy. and that what the boost help with.

  • hi, where can i get the backing track?? its really cool, i love the ec strat :) thanks

  • lol it looks as though you played all these guitars on the same day considering the same cloths most of the vids... did fender pay you to test these or are you just doing every one a favor>? id like to hear the clean tone of this guitar =(

  • wait i noticed you have a store on your site... nm that question about fender paying you...

  • No, I work soley with Morrell Music. I have basically grown up at this store. I and other employees also demo our other lines of instruments so please check those out as well.

  • I was wandering about that lol. And then I was like, if I buy a guitar from this place, does that mean this guy's bare hippie armpits may have touched the guitar?

  • No, no. I'm only a hippie on Thursdays. Mondays I am a pirate. Tuesdays and Wednesdays I play Hamlet and on the week-ends I do a fairly good Rock Star impression.

  • Really it was the Tye-Dye shirt. All the swirling colors affected my bends.

  • Eww, what a bad vibrato that guy has. It's a brown note.

  • Are you kidding me? Was it really that unbearable that you had to leave a comment about it? I'd hate to see your reaction to me playing.

  • no he's great, he's just using a metal vibrato with blues/rock stuff, I am very picky though.

  • whats a brown note

  • It causes a uncontrolable bowel movement, it was a joke, a 'brown note' is impossible, it's just a joke.
