La Dispute is my favorite band and most likely always will be, but a comparison is not needed here. i grew up with Brand New and love them as well. You could easily say both Jordan and Jesse are lyrical gods.

@Olivia7Ptv i can agree their both incredibly talented writers, they just write from different perspectives. thats where their individual beauty lies. to me jesse writes from a more personal perspective, while (forgive me for not knowing his name) the vocalist of la dispute is great at writing in more of a narrative sense.

i understand where you are coming from, but Jordan Dreyer ('Dispute) writes in a completely unique style. To most it may seem "narrative", but his style is so much more advanced than that. The stories he tells are hardly ever meant to be literal. With 'Dispute, it's all about connotating, and "reading betwewen the lines". This allows a broader range and variety of listening. His lyrics are nearly never clean cut with one set meaning. La Dispute lyrics take time to completely grasp.
