Amazing car but I couldn't watch past that gear change at 1:39, that sound coming from a car like that made me squirm. I have heard better noise, during that shift to second, from a honda civic. If you are going to buy an aston martin at least respect it enough to learn how to change gears without destroying the gear box.

Good friend of ours had an Aston Martin Vanquish ( not s ) back in 2003. I strongly had the feeling like its a kit-car. Everything looks sweet but if you compare it with the cars aston martin is making right now, it is a world of difference between the quality of the Vanquish and DB9.

BUT. I would always take the Vanquish. It's like a suit. No need to race with stupid tuned honda's or fast mercedesses. Just let me do my thing. Cruising and relax. Lovely

my dream car =]. Its too bad Americans always overlook beautiful supercars like this when they have money. They always buy cliche cars like Lambos and Ferraris because they think it will get them laid. I'm from Malibu California and I've seen maybe two or three Vanquishes in my whole life, but I see a damn Lambo every day =[. This car has way more class IMHO.

@daibadrumu Exactly. Ferrari is one of the classiest racing cars available with a prestigious F1 background. There are still many people who buy into the Ferrari name for those reasons and for the driving experience. It's only cliche when Paris Hilton's the one driving.

@graciousSenor Aston Martin, just like Alfa Romeo, is in a class of its own. You can't really say they compete against someone. They won't ever be as near as dynamic as an italian car, but they're more comfortable and look much better on a boulevard in, let's say, Paris. Unfortunately, i ve noticed that more and more apes are using them in order to look more "classy"(eg. Plies, Rick Ross, etc.). Consequently, sooner or later the aston will be a douchebag car as well. I hope that i'm wrong.

@xAtreyuAlesanax Thats because Aston Martin doesn't scream I have money, they dont have crazy doors and vents everywear, they aren't the quickest, the loudest, or the most expensive so people quickly overlook them when they are buying a car that they want to take out once and a while to turn heads. But they still have the same supercar size so they aren't the most practical supercar either. Long story short, if your not a die hard Aston fan or a car collector you can quickley overlook the Aston
