Yes, turning back has much worse consequences than simply never marrying with God in the first place. Stay the path, and stay immensely blessed - for life! And with no breaks or giving up.
The meaning isn't the mortal meaning, exactly, but rather an analogy. When the Bible and other scripture talk of the jealousy of God, it refers to the harder punishment you get for sin after revoking and avoiding sin. It's one thing to sin, and another to sin after you have taken vows and really decided to devote your life to God.
Wrong, When people refer to God a jealous they refer to the 1st commandment "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me." And that's the pathetic human jealousy talking.
That is a pathetic meaning, agreed. But it isn't the true meaning. If you think you can prove that meaning is in general use by spiritualists, go ahead and try. If you want to bash sectarians, I'll help you do it - we're not sectarian here.
I believe those who are fools are the ones who blindly pick one religion over an other. I do not claim that "I know the truth" because no one knows, including Atheism which I also consider a religion, and no one is meant to know and for someone to claim that they know what happens to you when you die when they do not possess powers I do not and their brains are no bigger or stronger than mine. Believe no one who claims to know the truth because I guarantee they do not.
Yes.... GOD guided me to the beautiful path of chastity by GRACE! AND... I must say... I used to want a girlfriend, want to have sex, want to see what it feels like... used to indulge in sexual thoughts... Now whenever a lustful thought comes up I say... yea... ok it might feel nice... but I don't want to sacrifice my chastity just for such a fleeting sensation... THANK YOU to GOD for this realization!!!!!! Have mercy on us all!!! Love and Peace
Yes, people do know truth. If what you're saying was truth, then you'd be one if them.

'Ride the Tiger", such a beautiful and apt metaphor for the power between our legs.

It's much easier to stay the path than turn back. Amen.
