This version isn't bad. It's just different from what we are used to hearing. NOBODY will ever be or replace John Lennon. Unless I heard wrong, Bono gives him props at the end of the song. In a way it's a good thing that U2 did this. John Lennon was the social conscience of his era as Bono and U2 are now. Seems pretty fitting under those circumstances. I won't give it another listen, but just had to state my opinion. RIP John. You were taken from us much too soon.
