I think there are enough people out there that will make a better decision for 10 extra cnets, or even 10 extra dollars. It's the beginning of a movement that is already catching on in popular culture. "It's cool to be green," and that goes a long way. New products and products under development are always more expensive in the early stages.

All this stuff is probably more expensive than standard products. Until this changes, there won't be widespread adoption.
