When i am doing this (i have your book too with this being Chapter 4), i have to wrap all in a div with id of 'jqt' for the styles to work but now it just shows all the stuff and the js isnt working
jQTouch is really great. And after reading your book, I created my first basic web app project for iPhone within an hour. By the way, do you have a workaround for mobile adsense to work with jQTouch. Whenever I place a mobile adsense, the buttons failed to work. Any idea?

@SokoMaroc The iPhone Simulator is part of the iOS Dev Tools. You can download for free from developer.apple.com but they only work on Mac. You could just as easily use a desktop browser like Chrome or Safari.
Thanks man, also, idk if you know the answer, but just as a question to everybody, i have two files, i have the acutal app, and an external style sheet, when i try to put them into the iPhone sim the external CSS goes in fine, but when i try to put in the actual app file it says "file is no longer in this location, please verify file location" and wont go in, anybody got any ideas?
He has a great book out, reading it right now! really recommend it to anyone trying to make iphone apps easily. Its called building apps with html css and javascript!
Nope, sorry. jqTouch treats each child element in the body tag as a new, distinct page. As a result, you cannot have a page nested within another element.
@maralbjo Yeah, lots of folks are bothered by the lack of fixed positioning in Mobile Safari (i.e. you can't have one element stationary while scrolling other stuff) but it's not that big of a trade off to me.
Thanks a ton for creating this intro — it's a really great overview for developers just getting started. Mad props for coherently covering everything at Starbucks :)
What kind of witchcraft was that at 04:27?

There is some bug in the BETA download. Even though I decorate my li with class = "arrow" there are no arrows displayed.

that was super helpful, thanks. I will buy you a coffee if I ever see you in Starbucks ;-)

What is textmate?
Are you using XCode framework simulator and textmate as the editor?

Really wondering how you have 8 more of the stock iPhone apps... whereas I only have Photos, Contacts, Safari and Settings. Otherwise, great tuto!

To clarify my previous comment, the form tag wraps around the two div tags. It didn't format as I wanted in the comment.

Hi there,
Is there a way to have an overall wrapper div id, which contains the divs that will be used as pages?
i.e.
form id="form1" div id="start" div id="about"
I would like the starting page to default to start, not form1. I tried adding the class="current" to start but that doesn't work

How do you "call" jqtouch like you said?
MalonProductions 2 years ago
JQtouch looks very interesting, but it is a drawback that there is no easy way to include a custom toolbar at the bottom of the screen for usability.
