Wow, I remember this episode being repeated in the late 1990s in the UK and me and my mum were glued to the screen..I wouldn't have seen it on the BBC first time round in 1984 as I was only a baby, but my mum and herwork partner were nicknamed Cagney and Lacey, I remember her telling me, even though they were both married with kids.

The actor who played Harvey is wonderful. I don't see him anymore.

I('m so glad you posted this. Cagney and Lacey was my favorite tv show. I was so hoping that I could see it again someday. Never knew it was on youtube. I hope you or someone has more more and more episodes. Will look for the dvd to buy.Thanks again. I remember this episode and what great acting Tyne did.She deserved the award. I thought both girls were terrific in this series.

I saw this episode some months ago (thanks to the re-runnings you can discover great series like this one) ansd since then I'm wondering how they shot it. It seems they did in the same day. Besides, when Chris and Mary Beth go out from that place it seems that they improvised, because Sharon pointed out to the people who where looking at them (all their work colleagues) and both laughed and smiles.

By the way, Michael Madsen was so young!

Cagney and Lacey was my favorite show back then! This was a great trip down memory lane! I've got season 1 of C and L on dvd - can't wait for the remaining seasons to come out!
