i met a chap while i was on the road whom said he had opened for mr holdsworth whereupon mr holdsworth chided him for sounding too much like himself, so this fellow decided to become a rhythm guitarist. i have strived to introduce more rhythm with the holdsworth sound so as to distinguish myself from AH. still not coming out in my playing always, but i feel holdsworth would have gotten more recognition if he embraced the meter more often. good stuff, regardless, nice tone...
Thank guys for the comments...if you want to hear me play my stuff, my first solo cd will be out within a month (more or less)...check my site www.liviolamonea.net...
Question. Is your fingerings exactly like his? I know he is unorthodox to say the least. That and he is self taught. What was your approach to learning his material? Thanks and Peace.

You're a good Holdsworth copyist. But do you have a style of your own ? On the other hand, Holdsworth maybe a new standard.

Great playing, if your goal was to sound and copy Allan Holdsworth then well done.I can pick out the phrasings and techniques he created.
How about you innovate and play something unique to yourself? ;)
