  • No, the rats are always there. Theres always about 50 of them. Its just when the bamboo fruit falls is when they rapidly produce in a short time and give birth to thousands of rats. Look up Rat attack by PBS.

  • Why bamboos flower? That too anly once in 50 year? What are you alking bout ??? This is a miracle. Stop bothering about this and start your God.

  • the rabbi must be talking cock and bull stories!

  • I just found out that 50th year comes to 2007-2008, check it with any rabbi from Israel, Mizoram people are descendants of Jacob (Israel) and God is jealous for them!!! They need to come home to Israel! READ LEVITICUS (Vayikra)25:10

  • @bluegenegene

Don't let religion poison your life fool.

All religious people read God Is Not Great, it will be the slow beginning of you retaking control of your life and intelligence.

  • what happened with the mautam in the end?

  • CHRISTIANS! PLEASE READ THE BIBLE - LEVITICUS 25-10 In this way you shall set the fiftieth year apart and proclaim freedom to all the inhabitants of the land.

AND ALL WORDS ABOUT 50TH YEAR YOVEL - JUBILEE

  • The reason for the huge number of rats is not unknown; it is due to the huge production of bamboo seeds.

  • Though perhaps I should add that the mechanics of masting (greater production of fruit/seeds by certain species of trees coordinated over big areas in cycles) is not well known.

  • @adversariussathanas Does that mean all the rats come togather from diff states and country? Because in this very short perion of time even if all the male rats in the state give birth to 100

rats in a year the number of these rats in Mautam must be a lot lot more than that..?

If we really count, there hadcount MUST BE millions as I have seen them. More over most of just die emidiately during/after the Mautam unlike other days/years...?

  • Thank you Stuart for your good work. May God bless!
