WHY?? With today's divorce laws, and the financial rapping most ordinary men will almost inevitably face in their lives, women should be groveling on the floor begging us to marry them.
if a women would propose to me she doesnt need no fancy ring or wedding, thats just a scam to make money, i wish more people were like me n just say will you marry me without buying stuff the media makes people believe its necesary
@Imrankniazi please explain why allowing a woman to ask you out or propose to you is a lack of manhood. I think it would be flattering and most of all a testament of her love for you. Think about it, if a woman is willing to "break tradition" to ask you to marry her then she's obviously crazy about you and the fact that she's willing to propose goes to show it.
@angrypandaman0 it depends,reasons being..i have a friend who proposed to hit gf 3 time and she said no because of school and stuff (over 2 years) so he decided to get back to school an then she asked hm and he said no and she said he was selfish ans dumped him.....lol but really if you have a bf talk to him first.
because some guys just really want to d it and i can kinda hurt them if you asked....never ask in front of his friends ever...as for me i dont know lol.

As for your friend, it seems like his ex is a pretty selfish woman; considering that she dumped him for such a petty reason. If you really love somebody, then you wouldn't dump them for something so miniscule.

here's a question. i'm getting married but it's just something we talked about forever and eventualy we said let's just do it next summer. we already told everybody and now we're planning the wedding. but there was never a surprise proposal so i'm thinking about proposing but it's so hard to figure out how to make it actually special when we both know we're already getting married. I'm the woman by the way. Do any of you guys have any ideas or suggestions?
If he knows it's going to happen the best way to do it is by way of surprise. It most likely will not get the same effect as an on-the-spot proposal, but he will greatly appreciate the effort. I would say, get him a gift that he had been wanting. I nice shirt or something. When he opens the gift, the ring is inside and you propose to him. I imagine men love proposals for the same reason women do; it is a confirmation of how you feel for him. He'll love it no matter what you do.
