  • @andyth0mps0n 7 Sir that's custom Hammond x66. Certainly not a pos. Do some research. In the original recording he uses a Hammond m3. The sound comes from a rotating Leslie speaker. It never came from the pipes, those are for the symphony's organ. It just so happens to be there so it gets used as decor which has been done before in many of Bostons concerts. Never the less Hammond organs are real organs.

  • be cool to hook into the house pipes, although the Hammond is just awesome

  • does anyone know if they were actually using the pipes or if it was a pos synthesizer?

  • Well, well, well......NOT BAD FLUTIE! Pretty darn good you lucky thang, playing with Boston! hehehe

  • I saw on the tour that followed this styx and smashmouth were there and it was awesome

  • brad is still there right?

  • totally underrated but if people dont want to like them then screw em. they're the ones missing out on an amazing band

  • They were such an under appreciated band. Incredible talent.

  • Too bad he couldnt have been tapped into the pipe organ in back. That would have been something.

  • Right on... I was thinking the same thing...

  • @ldr1ff yeah it would

  • maybe just maybe the coolest rock song ever

  • I saw Boston live at the Gorge at George, WA in 90 something. They played for 2 1/2 hours with the sun setting over the Columbia River behind them. Best concert ever!

  • Oh my gosh I am SOOO jealous lol. I was born in '87 and Boston was pretty well done by the time I actually discovered their music. I'd seriously drive like 20 hours to catch a show of theirs (I live in the middle of nowhere).

  • Just goes to show you they arent done! They still rock! And Im only 20 and think they are better then any other band today!

  • I am soooo jealous...this band was "back in the day" for me, but my kids even appreciate it! Cindy from OR

  • To think ive also played at Symphony Hall, crazy.

  • RIP BRAD DELP!!

    ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS

  • light show wasnt much, but the band more then made up for it

  • i got to see these guys back in 2003 in the Corporate America tour...i've seen 9 other bands since then, and while each was spectacular, NO ONE came even close to Boston. (also, when this and more than a feeling came on, you just can't describe the pandemonium in the crowd. boston is one of the few bands that never plays a bad song.

  • Funny to hear the VOICE of Boston relegated to singing background vocals to an 80s hair metal wannabe. Then again, Tom is the corporate pussy who created the success and demise of this wonderful invention.

  • Funny to read the COMMENT of tommyrock69 relegated to his reaction to this song from his wannabe brain. Then again, tom is the youtube pussy who created the commenting shit and demise of this useless youtube medium....asshole...

  • Dude, it's the quality of the video.

  • damn. i really dont believe it. how could you make music much better. these guys are simply legends nothing less and a lot more may Brad rest in peace. i sure hope no day in my life time will bands like them be forgotten or lost. no doubt in my mind this band will live on forever. it really shows that even though you have a lot doesn't mean anything and you should still respect every one

  • It is not as good as the version they did in

    Forida 2004.

  • prplfusion, thats deep

  • You might want to mention this is Brad Delp's final show with Boston.

  • Fastest Growing Debut album of all time was made by Boston... also this song was the first song Boston actually Wrote themselves... goes to show how great they really are

  • I hear ya bud. From my understanding,Boston is in the Guiness Book of World Records for that album.

  • RIP Delp

    Buh-ao-sten wuckz uh-loh-tuh

  • Flutie Flakes for everyone! Boston Rocks and will forever! Remember the great moments of Boston. This is one of them. Doug Flutie never made the winning play in the SuperBowl, but he scored here in my opinion!

  • Sad to view this video and see all the arguing over Brad Delp's death. When a person commits suicide it is never any 1 thing or 1 person. Depths of suicidal thoughts are complex and deep: complete despair. The inner persons pain whether chemical imbalance (depression) or a lifetime of inner conflict is greater than any aspect of living. To reach despair inner pain is greater than all areas of life.

To honor B D w\respect to his life and his reasons, Thank you for sharing music he believed in.

  • thats passion... way to go man!

  • Yeah that was realy touching and mind provoking....Man speaks the truth prplfusion= god

  • I completely respect his wishes. He gave all he had. You live in my heart, Brad.

  • @prplfusion So So well said!!

  • ~sorry: no "R" in contractual !~

  • Lastly, getchasumm:

It was for *Anthony* Cosmo, who upon thinking over a lawsuit with his name on it--against him, for promoting his and his Dad's brand-new, about-to-be, band, "COSMO," in such a way that was a violation of the contractural agreement he himself had signed, that he thought better of it. SO, that suit was summarily dropped.

I say if you can't abide by a contract, then don't enter into it. (BTW, Anthony went solo rather long ago now with his band, "Alien.")

  • I hope that Micki Delp, one of Brad's ex-wives, has by now gained enough emotional distance to reflect on and realize that her motives were impure; for saying such a destructive thing was not objectively true, and was designed only to hurt others. She neither seemed to care about the extended Boston bandmate family, nor the many lifelong Boston fans she hurt as well. She took what was already a nightmarish situation and with a twist then took the suffering to the highest level.

  • getchasumm control over yourself !

Brad killed himself, and it wasn't over what Tom Scholz *did* to him. I think you DO know what Brad's fiancee of seven years said about his depression. If you want to honor Brad's memory, let us remember him this way: someone who enriched our life with his beautiful and powerful voice...and too his humility, even though one of the very finest rock singers who has ever performed. And it's still so today, thirty years and running.

  • All you Tom defenders can fuck yourselves! Micki Delp, Brad's ex, who knew a shitload more about Tom, Brad, etc. than you, me, and most everybody else has HERSELF said these things about Tom Scholz. And less than a year ago, Tom was (yet again) sueing someone(the Cosmo's) for mis-labelling a promo poster for a show of theirs. Not petty shit? I think so!

  • Let him die in peace............IDIOTS. Dont sling the trash on here.

  • Tom Scholz has rsponded to the criticisms of him concerning Brad's death on Boston's official website

  • Please let us know the web address as there are many tribute website. Thanks

  • Brad touches hands with many of the fans up front at the end of the song in this video.

He was unbelievable. Wish I could have been there up front to shake his hand.

  • Love the chick! Fran Sheehan has GOT to be majorly PISSED!

  • The 'chick' is Kimberley Dahme - and she's hot!

  • This one last performance came after just over two years since their 2004 touring ended. Fran Cosmo and son Anthony have formed their own band "Cosmo" and put out an album at that time (in '04 (I think).

The accusations of getchasumm can best be judged by a more objective source: Wikipedia, on the band Boston.

See how gracious Brad is with the fans at the song's end ! And listen to his stellar voice !

  • *test* comments/ratings blocked ?

  • i believe this is boston's final concert

  • Shut the frick up, "get'ya'some" ! I'm tired of seeing you all over the Brad Delp tribute posts and Boston video posts too, spewing your BS. You're a Funeral Crasher.

Explain why you FIRST went to trolling Delp's fans over and over with the mocking line: "Look what his vegetarian diet did for him !" AND THEN you switched over to this new theme of blaming Scholz for pushing Brad to a desperate breaking point ? It wasn't until they announced it was suicide that YOU CHANGED YOUR TUNE.

  • Suicide changes everything idiot! It went from accidental death to purpose death. Quite a difference!

  • I'm shocked and saddened to know that the voice that defined my generation's music has been silenced. May you rest in peace. It has indeed, been a Long Time.

  • you know what? the circumstances don't matter. what matters is that this world has lost an awesome man.

rest in peace, our music man. those of you with negative thoughts ought to just move on . please.

  • I agree. It's too late now to speculate. I met Brad Delp...a very nice guy. Rest in peace....I for one will miss you greatly!

  • Try reading between the lines a bit!

Scholz was in CONSTANT litigation with former and present members of Boston, various record companies over the years, and wasnt invited to the private funeral, even though other ex-members were! What does that tell you?

If you read an interview with ex bass player Fran Sheehan, you'd really see the true Tom.

You must be one sucked in by brains, fame, and lots of money. Tom had that, but sorely lacked in character!

    And thats a fact!

  • God Bless you Brad (and Boston), hope to see you in Heaven and we'll sing to Jesus together...he truly had a heavenly voice and sweet spirit

  • Tom Scholz's litigation-like attitude regarding EVERYthing Boston-related contributed to Brad's suicide. Opinion? Sorry, no. Fact! Try reading Boston Herald online story as to WHY we no longer have Brad on this earth. Thanks Tom. Asshole!

  • Obviously, you want someone to respond. I'll bite.

#1 - Don't believe everything you read. People who do that are the most dangerous types.

#2 - Usually, when someone says something as strong as "Fact!" it's false.

#3 - Depression is a funny thing. There is no logic structure to it. You can't rationalize someone's thought process when they are going through it. A+B does not =C in that case.

  • For the love of Boston FUCK YOU! Tom Scholz responsible for the death of Brad Delp. I have never been more appalled, get over yourself and let the man leave behind his great legacy.

  • God bless your soul Brad,..I love your voice. Bro!

  • I am from New Zealand but I to was touched by the power and passion of Brad's voice and his compelling and passionate music...May the Good Lord find a place for Brad in His heaven...Godspeed to that better place, Brad...

  • Bradley Delp has been the nicest guy on the planet. Knew him well since Danvers High School. Have seen him occasionally and always was greeted with genuine warmth. He deserved every success he achieved. Thanks for all the recognition and rewards. Brad is smiling with pride in the better place.

  • Brads will not be forgotton. Missed? He will only be missed by friends and family, unless, of course, they were planning on doing a tour.

  • What are you talking about? Fans miss Idols when they die..plain and simple and yes they were planning on going out on tour this summer. Of course fans will miss him!!!

  • YOU ARE AN IGNORANT TWAT.

  • I was stunned to hear about the passing of Brad Delp. Boston has been one of my favorite bands since their inception, and their music brings back fond memories. RIP Brad...

  • We'll miss Bradley badly....

  • God bless Brad and please remember and support his family....

  • RIP Brad you where a great tallent and a all around nice guy. May God be with you forever.

  • I am blown away at the heartbreaking news--I too regret that I won't get just one more time to see him perform live~~ rest in peace Brad~~you will be long remembered and missed!

  • RIP..a great loss.

  • RIP...a grteat loss. Rock on.

  • RIP Brad. We will NOT forget about you after you've been gone. :'(

  • take care man. Youll never be forgotten, in this lifetime or the next.

  • thank you so much for recording and posting this--we would have never known it was the last time

    RIP BRAD!

  • RIP Brad.. Thanks for the great music.. you can't ever be replaced

  • Brad Delp - one of the greatest singers ever in the history of rock. I regret that I can't see him in concert just one more time. An era has died with him today.

  • RIP brad you'll be missed

  • Long Island bids you farewell too Brad. What a bombshell that debut album was for us high schoolers back then and how you kept it real for all these years. And the voice...it continued to soar and always will.

  • Brad,

Thanks for the last show and the high five.

A man whose voice was only eclipsed by his class.

    RIP

  • RIP Brad

  • SAD NEWS - Brad Delp found dead at age 55. Brad Delp - June 12, 1951 to March 9, 2007 - RIP BRAD The nicest, kindest, most caring, down to earth rock star the world has ever known. So much for the upcoming tour.

  • Thanks for sharing the video!

  • Are you sure Tom didnt kick the Cosmo's out? That has been his track record for decades! Fran probably pissed him off somehow...maybe Tom caught the brothers eating red meat!!

  • I am not sure how true it is, but I have recently read that Fran and Anthony Cosmo are no longer in Boston because Tom wanted to go back to a 5 person line-up. Seems this is current Boston in the video.

  • Does anyone know if Fran Cosmo is getting back in Boston for the upcoming summer tour. Brad needs him to hit the high notes on some of the songs, and Brad probably wouldn't be able to do a full show because of pulling all of the leads.

  • From what I read on Boston's site, I think that is not Doug Flutie on drums. The impression that I got is that Doug joined them only for SMOKIN', the encore. That would be their current drummer Jeff Neal then. Also, it is mind boggling how good Brad Delp still sings!

  • Doug Flutie is playing drums???

  • Love BOSTON but Beginning is ELP copy

  • Uh...Sib was replaced after Don't Look Back..somewhere around 1980.

  • What happened to Sib?

  • That's Doug Flutie, the quarterback on drums?

  • Yep, that's the QB on drums!

  • @fightingfir3

Doug Flutie appeared on "Smokin'," "Don't Look Back" was the encore song, while they set up for Flutie.

  • awsome!!! i think they can pull it off in their new album!
