I bet that Bass Is rare, I love it. I would want one, Wonnder if the bass is calld ''Parris lynott bass'' :) (PLB)
Love ya lynott all you did was Epic no consert was bad only epic! if there was sad heart broked or not careing you made them the revers by putting your hands in to it Lynott For ever! I think I got That ''Lynottfever''
Rip Gary and Lynott I lissen to thin Lizzy every Day, and Gary Bless you soul, I'm still crying when I heard the news Gary Moore is dead.
When Phil died i was so angry i kicked the lounge door n hurt my foot ....people LOVED Phil and LOVED LIZZY ...when Bono dies ..there will be cheers .....
Swedish radio sent this show a few years ago. It was great that they sent a Lizzyconcert from 83, otherwise it´s usually new and modern bands so that was fun! I´ve got a bootleg from this show called Jailbreak. Thank´s for posting!
thanx for this...saw them many times..miss them in many ways...Lynnott very much..and Moore is a fantastic guitarist....Wow was it really so long ago?
Simply awesome, thanks so much for posting this gem, I wasn't aware of them as a kid and only got to like them too late to see them live, what a band, seem to never put a note wrong
saw them at glasgow apollo, 1976, 77, 78, 79, 80,81,82,83 and met Phil once, nice guy. John Sykes took them back to the classic line up sound inc Robbo. Check out b side of vinyl ep of cold sweat, live version of Dont believe a word. Its better than the the OGWT version with Gary Moore which you can see and hear elsewhere on you tube
We all have energy when our spirit and soul are figured. I suspect he was a member of the OTO but I can see he was fighting against it all the time by his music and attitude.
saw him later on the tour & 2 times before lotta fun.
i love thin lizzy, i hate to see phil look like this though,. i have dvd of the Sight and sound concert... or sound and sight... not sure.. but its like what....3 years before he died and you can notice the weight and unhealthyness of him... i love him and hes one of my idols and saddens me to see him the way he is here,
Phil would have been every bit as good if he were white. His outer self didn't make or break the band, it was what he had on the inside. Inner spirit has no color. There is no sense in paying deference to ANY color.
Thin lizzy were something else. Phil stood on my hand (accidentaly) at the Marquee in London (Playing with Brian Robertson, and wild horses) in the late 70's. Makes me feel old, but young to hear them again. Thanks
Not sure what you mean by that. If you talked to my Pastor he would witness that I have my bags packed. While God does not want racisim, He hates people paying deference to any one race just as much, which is just another form of racism. Yes Phil, rest in peace and should my fallible guess about you being in heaven be correct, I'll see you there one day.
I missed thenm in Liverpool in 77 I wish I could go back in time.Never saw them live the best band in the entire world!!.Phil was the business!! Genius material I say!
i have seen this band last night in france (montereau) if I had understand now it's not the same men in the band but the new artits are magic!!! (sorry for my bad english I'm French!) I love Thin Lizzy!!!
can someone enlighten me. Is this the renegade tour,as I saw them in the Aberdeen capitol in either 82 or 83 cant remember which. But the memories still fresh of the concert. I am delighted that I still have these memories of a true ROCK band
Thin Lizzy rules the fucking rock world!Saw them on the Chinatown tour at Mr.C's rock palace in Lowell Mass with Snowy White on guitar.Awesome Show!LONG LIVE THIN LIZZY AND PHILS SPIRT!WE MISS YEAH!
You know that style of bass playing that Phillo uses is so unique, its like slap pick, which no one else tries, But than again thats a fender jazz bass. Those are the best. I mean they are so good that even Geddy Lee uses 'em!
Rock on Phil!...were still here for yah!...got to see u a few times and had that silver scratch plate of yours shine me in the eyes a few times, magic stuff!..RIP.
good. rip phil. you can see him deteriorate. if you watch the whiskey in the jar video from 72 i think, he looks fine. in 78 during the sydney, he looks good, but not as good. and i think he looks terrible here. :(
The musicians today, many of them anyway, don't even compare to these guys...This was real rock and roll by real rockers. Wow is all I can say. I sure do miss Phil.
Thank u Thin Lizzy...
