C4 is easy to use, just stay in the tanks blind spots. Vehicle heavy maps run c4 infantry heavy run claymores support has it all. Yes engineer can take out vehicles from afar but then my engineer can sit behind me and repair faster than a few RPGs can damage. C4 doesn't give that chance

engineer: keeps track of the condition of their own team's vehicles while also keeping enemy vehicles at bay.

Assault: Makes sure that teammates are alive and well, no one can do their job without medics to help keep them alive.they have longer range weapons too.

Really all the classes in battlefield are equally essential, and a team is nothing without a good balance of each of them. although we don't want TOO many snipers...

Assault is more anti infantry type weapons and infantry support, infantry arms the bombs and caps the flags, it is less common for a tank or aircraft to do so. Therefore I want assault.

Assault is a bit overpowered with the famas and noob tubes, yes but the engineer has the rockets and the a91. Which is quite a bit overpowered.

I hate engineers. Only because I think they are really overpowered. I constantly get killed by people who whore out the rocket launcher on maps with NO VEHICLES. I understand it is a legitimate tactic but it is really annoying, especially on CQC maps. Not to mention those SMG's can down someone in one to two shots from almost any distance.

I'm definitely an Assault guy. Engineers are good, but damn there's so many of them. Over half my team is always engineers, same as the other team. Rockets just flying everywhere. I prefer to post up at corners WITH engineers, let them fling rockets, then heal them when they take fire, then dish out accurate covering fire with my IR equipped F2000. Then I'll go play my other role; Superior Tank Operator. I will destroy engineers with my MBT all day.

Engineers aren't the only thing that can quickly take out vehicles. Invest a little time in your support kit, unlock c4 and presto, you have a force to be reckoned with

Tough.. although you really need one of each kit to have a completely balanced squad, I'd say that the Assault comes out on top by just a little bit. This is just my opinion, but why? Because there needs to be infantry to drive the vehicles that the Engineer destroy, and what does Assault do best? Fucks up the other team's infantry and keeps soldiers alive and healthy at the front lines for even more help wiping them out. That being said, a GOOD Engineer is definitely a game changer.
